Sweet and sour chicken

A place a recently found and consistently great Chinese food at reasonable prices. Friendly service quality ingredients and sauces

Fried chicken wings and pork fried rice.
D W.

The reviews scared me but I noticed someone at the neighboring nail shop in which I was in (shout out to Nikki my amazing nail tech) was brought food. The customer service stood out to me. I ordered anyway. I ordered sesame chicken and fried chicken wings which both came with pork fried rice, which had grilled onions which was a plus for me. The lunch special comes with a choice of an egg roll, soup or soda. One of my orders. I got a soda and the other order. I got an eggroll. The food was fresh, tasty and hot. The order took under 10 minutes. The only negative was the small portion of food. I did order a lunch special, but this typical type of restaurant usually gives a generous portion of rice.

General Tsos Chicken Combo with Fried Rice and Wonton Soup
Brittany T.

Very good! We were a little nervous about trying it just due to the lack of reviews, but super solid chinese takeout. We got the general tso's chicken, orange chicken, and the bourbon chicken combos, which all came with fried rice, egg rolls, and wonton soup. Very good portions for the price, we all had leftovers. The general tso's had a great spicy kick and you could tell the orange chicken was made with real orange peels. The wonton soup and egg rolls were solid and the pork fried rice was delicious and flavorful. The bourbon chicken was probably our least favorite but still good, just a little sweet for our taste. Overall solid, would come back.

Good egg drop soup

We've been looking for good Chinese take out since moving into the area over a year ago. Orient Chef is the best takeout yet. After a couple of orders I must say their soups are excellent and standout above the others. The egg foo young was tasty with a good sauce. The house fried noodles could have used a couple more shrimps but there was plenty of beef, pork and chicken. All the sauces tasted different here, in some of the other place all the sauces tasted the same on every dish, not here. Their fried rice was well cooked and tasty. Their egg rolls were typical and nothing special. They even left out the carrots at our request, they don't belong in Chinese cooking. Our opinion, we could be wrong. Need to try them again, so far so good!

I have never come across a place like this ! Not only great variety of combination food options, but fresh sushi at low prices !! You should not skip out on the opportunity to try their food, fresh and hot in 15 minutes.

They are fast and food is fresh. Crab rangoons were overcooked- I've had better. Rolls were tasty and service is good.

You have no idea what you are missing out on. The atmosphere along with dining experience is perfect every time we visit here. I recommend ordering whatever you are craving and you won't be disappointed. Today, we ordered the Otoro spoons, sushi moriwase, chef special appetizers, chicken pad Thai, grilled octopus, toro sashimi, scallop sashimi, sweet shrimp nigiri, and ube flan for dessert. The quality of the fish was fresh as usual, and the customer service was on point. Thank you so much Ha, for serving us, and we will definitely be back for some more sushi in the near future. Yes, I would recommend this place to other sushi lovers as well as customers who enjoy kitchen food because they aren't yet accustomed to eating raw fish. This restaurant offers plenty of free parking spaces. Thank you Chef Jimmy, chef Hanes, Kayla, and Kristal for preparing our food today. Also, thank you Ha for serving us and making sure that we have everything we needed!

The eatery was buzzing on a Saturday evening with its modernly decorated dining room constantly filling up. Seating about 80, it also sports a sushi bar. Our server, Jensen, provided great service and excellent suggestions. I had an otoro version of a margarita. It came with sugar on the rim. Not to my liking. We ordered the coconut rock shrimp appetizer that came with large, meaty shrimp and a great dipping sauce. But the shrimp had no flavor and was very bland. We also had the tuna crispy rice. The presentation was lovely. But the appetizer was underwhelming. For dinner we had the cucumber skin roll with tuna, salmon, and a avocado. Again, a beautiful presentation with tuna that melted in your mouth. But again, not impressive. The standout was the curry udon with chicken katsu; thick, meaty udon noodles; and a delectable curry sauce so good I slurped up each drop. Of course we had to try the pandan creme brulee and the ube flan. The latter being the better of the two desserts. Dinner for two with 1 alcoholic drink, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, tax, and tip was $128.

Lately though, it feels like the experience has changed. Portions are noticeably smaller, especially the street fries, and some of the rolls we originally fell in love with either taste different or have been modified in ways that take away from what made them so good in the first place. On top of that, it feels like they're nickel-and-diming customers more than before. It's disappointing because this used to be a place we constantly recommended to people. The creativity and flavor are still there in moments, but the value and consistency just don't feel the same anymore. Really hoping they get back to what made everyone fall in love with them originally.

I remembered coming here with a friend when they first opened and remembered liking it. We started with the takoyaki. It was absolutely delicious and my daughter said it was one of the best she's had. We also ordered spicy edamame. It was okay. My husband was happy with them. My daughter and I shared 3 rolls. Salmon skin (we added cream cheese), the Gamdam and the Orange dragon roll. We loved all 3. The Gamdam was my favorite. The different textures were just perfect. My husband had spicy drunken noodles with chicken. He said it was perfectly spicy. Service was very friendly. We got there about 45 minutes before closing and we never felt rushed. There were people who got there after us and they were also served at a nice pace. Can't wait to go back!

A New Favorite in Davie -- Sumo Asian Kitchen Delivers Quality & Heart…read more I've been on the hunt for a new sushi spot, and Sumo Asian Kitchen in Davie absolutely blew me away. I'm not bougie, but I do know and appreciate high‑quality sushi -- and this place delivers it with heart. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the sweetest couple who I can only assume are the owners. They were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely joyful about making sure every customer has a great experience. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it set the tone for the whole meal. My husband ordered the Hawaiian Fried Rice with chicken, and it was packed with flavor -- perfectly cooked, generous portions, and beautifully presented. I went straight for the Sushi Nori Platter, which came with nine stunning pieces of sushi. Every single bite was fresh and delicious, but the standouts were the Madai (so delicate and clean) and the salmon belly, which was rich, buttery, and absolutely amazing. You can taste the quality in every piece. The food, the service, the atmosphere -- everything came together to create such a memorable meal. Sumo Asian Kitchen is officially our new go‑to sushi spot, and I'm already excited to come back. Highly recommend!

These were full portions, and too big for us in one sitting. I ordered medium, which tasted pretty mild in restaurant, but my leftovers the next day were spicy (and so delicious)! So if you're the type of person to bring half your meal home, I highly recommend you order one level down from your normal tolerance. The second time I went for lunch, and got the red curry. The menu said it came with miso soup or salad, and I asked for miso soup but the woman gestured up to the small salad bar. Turns out, that day was chicken soup, and I'm pretty happy about it because I don't think I would have ever thought to order chicken soup from a Thai restaurant. I had two bowls, and I would have gotten more if I wasn't trying to leave room for my entree. It didn't work out anyway; even the lunch portion was huge, so half came home. Unbelievable deal, I think with tax and tip (I think I tipped $4?) my total was still only $16 and change. The service is phenomenal, the restaurant is clean, and they have won my heart. I'll be back!

I'd definitely avoid the tempura as it didn't have the right coating and really didn't work with the broccoli. The best item was definitely the steak in my opinion. The seasoning was delicious and it was cooked to perfection. The short ribs weren't bad either. The coconut shrimp was tasty as well, but I've definitely had better. The sushi rolls was alright and there was a wide selection, but some of the sashimi didn't taste the freshest. They had a decent amount of salads around the corner, but I didn't take part in any. Another great thing was the dessert bar. I really love almond cookies, so I was elated to see them there. Their orange slices were perfectly sweet. Some of their cakes weren't had either. I also love when buffets have a good selection of ice creams, so it was nice to see they had several flavors. I got pistachio, which was just okay in flavor, but nice that there were bits of pistachio in it. I also got green tea which was a little disappointing, but there was a tinge of tea flavor. I think I got a chocolate one as well, which was tasty. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and came by frequently to top off our drinks.

There were non-sushi options such as hot food(noodles, stir fries, and fried food, along with sushi. There was also a separate dessert and fruit section. For the price it was worthwhile. The sushi didn't appear frozen and was quite tasty. I noticed there weren't any sashimi pieces just all either rolls or Nigiri. The service seemed prompt. We were quite surprised and thought it to be a good value. I would definitely double check the website in case prices change overtime.
