I finally got back to Cilantro after doing a review almost 2 years ago. This time I took hubby and went for lunch. The atmosphere remains modern, calm, and clean. We got a couple of bento box lunch specials. He got the sushi-sashimi and I got the chicken teriyaki. Both were good but we wouldn't call them stellar. The soup and salad were satisfying. The spring roll was crunchy and delicious. I could easily have eaten two more. I think my teriyaki had chicken breast; but despite the sauce, it was very dry. Service was good, as usual. However, after receiving my entree, I needed more ginger and couldn't find my waitress for more than 10 minutes and had to flag someone else down. Lunch for two with tax and tip was about $40.
In my opinion, Cilantro Asian Bistro redefines what a sushi restaurant is supposed to be like. From the moment you step into this restaurant, you know there is something special about it. The vibe and the ambiance is soothing, and everyone is pleasant and helpful. But above all that, the food and presentation is absolutely amazing. Cilantro has definitely become my go-to restaurant for Japanese and Thai food.
This place is great! A great mix of sushi & Asian food if sushi is not your thing. We came for lunch and were seated immediately. We ordered a sushi roll, tuna tataki, and fire cracker as well as chicken fried rice. All the food was really fresh and tasted amazing. The menu has a lot of selections and you are bound to find something for everyone. The only negative was when we got our food - the fried rice was missing and when we did ask made it seem like we never ordered rice. We still wanted to have the rice - there wasn't anything special about it - was very plain just rice egg and chicken. Would definitely return to try some more food!
This location is fantastic and the service was on point at all times. We had a great time while there, and enjoyed a very tasty lunch. As I walked to our table, I noticed some other customers with a bento box... and discovered they have some delicious bento box lunches so I ordered one with Pad Thai, sushi and also sashimi that was so bountiful that I had plenty to take home Enjoy!!
We always have a great meal at Cilantro. Food is consistently good and their menu offers a wide selection of Thai and Sushi dishes. Service is always friendly, starting with the manager (Tan) and all of his staff. And the atmosphere is vibrant and comfortable. In addition to the main dining room, there is also a bar area with a few high top tables and a covered patio area. This is definitely a place to try if you are in the area. Cheers!

This bright and airy Asian restaurant in Davie offers many specialties and a range of sushi rolls. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. We were there for lunch and decided to order from the lunch specials offered at a great deal from 11:30am to 3pm Monday to Saturday. They also have a Bento Box lunch special, a large menu and a large drink menu. I had the Green Curry with egg fried rice $14. It also came with a nice salad and vegetable spring roll. Everything was so delicious and I even brought home some leftovers. The server was very nice and efficient.
Service is always great at Cilantro. And we've never had a bad meal. Delicious sushi and other Asian dishes. They hit home runs on all of them. Very well designed interior with plenty of seating for groups. A must visit place when we are in Fort Lauderdale.

Flavor galore in your mouth. If this is the kind of party you want in your mouth, come to cilantro! The flavors were poppin'! So delicious, fresh, and excellent service by our server Gina! My first time here and I'm already thinking about my return. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the very dim lighting. I needed to use my flashlight to review the menu. I get that itbis an intimate setting, but I'm trying to order danggit loool 10/10 everything we ordered was excellent. I would definitely order the crispy bok choy again as appetizer. I didn't care too much for the tom kha soup. I wouldn't prefer that again, I just didn't like the coconut lime flavor but it was flavorful nonetheless, just not my cup of tea. Also, their bathroom needed some attention however the place was packed! There is also a Hallandale location.
From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the manager as if I were family... Such a rare and genuine touch that instantly set the tone for a great dining experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and inviting, and the service throughout was truly outstanding. I ordered two sushi rolls... Their JB Tempura Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. Both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The JB Tempura was especially well-cooked with just the right crunch and balance of flavor. But the true star of the meal? Their Tom Kha soup. It was absolutely incredible!! Rich, creamy and bursting with coconut flavor. If you're a fan of coconut-based dishes, this soup is an absolute must!! I would honestly return just for that! Overall, this was an amazing dining experience from start to finish. Great food, great vibes and truly exceptional hospitality... Can't wait to go back!
Came here for a casual dinner on my arrival to south Florida with one of the my girlfriends and we decided to share a couple things on the menu. We tried the Crispy rice tuna ($12.00), the Tua's roll and the Drunken noodles with shrimp ($20.00). Everything was great but the Tua's Roll was exceptional. Upscale pricing for the sushi roll ($23.00 to be exact) but it was worth it. Would definitely return.
Cilantro's friendly staff, from the hostess all the way up to the manager, creates a welcoming, caring atmosphere. The menu with a multitude of Thai and sushi options offers a huge variety of different dishes.

My family and I decided to order Cilantro's as takeout. I do want to compliment them for the way they packaged their sushi rolls to keep them from getting soggy, with the sauce on the side. As a whole, I did enjoy cilantro's. They definitely have an impressively large selection of sushi rolls and they were good. However, and maybe I am just spoiled because the sushi in Orlando is delicious, I found that many of their rolls were pricy for what they were. I will say if you want a good raw fish sushi roll, the Cilantro roll is very good. While I liked the fish on top of the Hocho Motto roll, I did not care for the contents of the roll itself as much. I did get to try one of their tuna appetizer which were delicious, so I definitely recommend their tuna. I hope to explore the menu and order something else next time I am down. But as of right now, nothing has blown me away. read more

Our daughter wanted to treat us to a sushi dinner and she chose Cilantro as the place to go. We had wanted to also try it so off we went. Cilantro is a beautiful space with a modern Asian decor. Our server was very efficient and very helpful with our menu choices. The sushi was some of the best we have had, presented in a Japanese boat. While I can't remember everything we had but what we did have was amazing. We will be back as the menu is very diverse and also has Thai cuisine which I would like to explore. First visit and it was amazing! The service was great and the food was so good! Tuna Crispy Rice and Thai Beef salad were yummy! The menu is huge and they have good specialty drinks and martinis. Our server, Kathy was super friendly with us. I'd definitely recommend! read more

Cilantro will always recieve 5 stars from me off of the service alone. Everyone is SO sweet, it's always nice and clean in there and I absolutely love how kind everyone is. The khao soi for me was a 3, it was very spicy which is fine they said it was spicy but it was more curry based than anything and I've had ones where they use coriander and anise seed which make it taste so much better. I love coming to cilantro because it never disappoints. They have tasty Thai food and many variety of sushi. The service is friendly, quick, and professional. I love sitting outdoors during the evening and getting some fresh air. My mom and I come here together as our go-to local Thai restaurant. read more

Cilantro in Davie is hands down my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE sushi spot in South Florida. Having lived here my whole life, I've tried my fair share of sushi places, but nothing comes close to what Cilantro offers. The experience here is unmatched. Tan, the manager, sets the bar incredibly high with his warm and welcoming hospitality. It truly stands out and does not go unnoticed it's the kind of place you find yourself craving to return to. The entire staff is just as wonderful, providing service that is always attentive, friendly, and efficient. Amy was my amazing waitress. And the sushi? WOW. Simply unbelievable. It's always fresh and out of this world delicious. Every bite is a testament to the quality and care they put into their dishes. We have been here several times and really like that it is local and has good food. They are SO WELCOMING when you enter. I think maybe like 10 people greeted us from the door to our seat. Everyone is really friendly. Our daughter was a little fussy and one of the waitresses stopped by with chopsticks for entertainment and checked back again on us even though she wasn't our waitress, This time we ordered edamame (would reorder), pao shrimp (would reorder), wonton soup (has shrimp and chicken, I don't care for the shrimp in it), M roll (just too big for me), and kids yakisoba. In particular, the sushi rolls are good but they are really large (in width). I prefer smaller rolls that typically you eat a piece in one bite but that's my personal preference. There is tons of parking and they have a lot of seating so it's typically easy to get in and out. read more
Lovely family restaurant with fast service and good food. Nice sit down and relax yourself type restaurant. Server was nice and accommodating. Although we ordered the red curry with salmon it arrive with shrimp but we decided to just keep it and enjoy it compared to having to wait for a re-fire with salmon. Arrived for dinner around 5:00 and was greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Restaurant was decorated very nicely and clean. Waiter took our drink order and returned quickly to take our order. We ordered wonton and miso soups. All very flavorful and served hot. I had a house salad served ice cold with ginger dressing which is to die for. Three rolls California Roll, Dancing eel Roll and a bagel Roll all were delicious and fresh. My brother had pad Thai with Tofu. Pasta was cooked well and very tasty. Met up with someone for Sunday lunch. The place was not busy so we walked right in and was seated close to the window. The waiter immediately asked if we wanted something to drink. After requesting a few minutes to review, we ordered the double trouble and another drink (can't remember the name). They were okay. I got the drinkun noddles with fried tofu and it was a bit dry. I've never had drunken noodles with barely any noodles. I really wanted to give them a higher review but this was my second time dining at this restaurant and the food was just ok. read more

Consistent fresh food. Friday nights are busy but dining at the bar expedited our wait. The restaurant remains clean & well staffed. Kudos to the sushi chefs because they were working nonstop! My new favorite roll is the double decker roll. I'm already dreaming of it. Can't wait to return. read more

Food was great the calamari fresh well season the California rolls also Great texture I did forgot to take pic of the other 2 dishes steak and mix vegetables in ginger sauce and fried tofu with mix vegetables in brown sauce maybe little salty .
