My family and I decided to order Cilantro's as takeout. I do want to compliment them for the way they packaged their sushi rolls to keep them from getting soggy, with the sauce on the side. As a whole, I did enjoy cilantro's. They definitely have an impressively large selection of sushi rolls and they were good. However, and maybe I am just spoiled because the sushi in Orlando is delicious, I found that many of their rolls were pricy for what they were. I will say if you want a good raw fish sushi roll, the Cilantro roll is very good. While I liked the fish on top of the Hocho Motto roll, I did not care for the contents of the roll itself as much. I did get to try one of their tuna appetizer which were delicious, so I definitely recommend their tuna. I hope to explore the menu and order something else next time I am down. Well the food was ok. Prices were ok. Drinks were ok. Nothing was special except the service was good and we had a very large party. I had the curry with the potatoes. I always order that. I finally got back to Cilantro after doing a review almost 2 years ago. This time I took hubby and went for lunch. The atmosphere remains modern, calm, and clean. We got a couple of bento box lunch specials. He got the sushi-sashimi and I got the chicken teriyaki. Both were good but we wouldn't call them stellar. The soup and salad were satisfying. The spring roll was crunchy and delicious. I could easily have eaten two more. I think my teriyaki had chicken breast; but despite the sauce, it was very dry. Service was good, as usual. However, after receiving my entree, I needed more ginger and couldn't find my waitress for more than 10 minutes and had to flag someone else down. We ordered a sushi roll, tuna tataki, and fire cracker as well as chicken fried rice. All the food was really fresh and tasted amazing. The only negative was when we got our food - the fried rice was missing and when we did ask made it seem like we never ordered rice. We always have a great meal at Cilantro. Food is consistently good and their menu offers a wide selection of Thai and Sushi dishes. Service is always friendly, starting with the manager (Tan) and all of his staff. And the atmosphere is vibrant and comfortable. This bright and airy Asian restaurant in Davie offers many specialties and a range of sushi rolls. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. We were there for lunch and decided to order from the lunch specials offered at a great deal from 11:30am to 3pm Monday to Saturday. They also have a Bento Box lunch special, a large menu and a large drink menu. I had the Green Curry with egg fried rice $14. It also came with a nice salad and vegetable spring roll. This past October my daughter took us to Cilantro for a sushi dinner. The food was outrageously delicious. We decided on a return visit for an early New Years Eve dinner. We go early to avoid the hassle of crowds and driving late. Cilantro did not disappoint. The service there is impeccable. As expected New Years eve festivities started early and when 12 o'clock hit somewhere else on the planet a bell was rung and cheers erupted, nice touch! I can say they serve the best Japanese food I have had in Florida. The Sushi is fresh and best of all the portions are generous. The portions and variety of Sashimi was delectable. The boat was beautifully designed so it was a feast for both tastebuds and eyes! The next time I return to Cilantro I want to try some of the Thai menu as the portions In saw leaving the kitchen. We have been here several times and really like that it is local and has good food. They are SO WELCOMING when you enter. I think maybe like 10 people greeted us from the door to our seat. Everyone is really friendly. Our daughter was a little fussy and one of the waitresses stopped by with chopsticks for entertainment and checked back again on us even though she wasn't our waitress, This time we ordered edamame (would reorder), pao shrimp (would reorder), wonton soup (has shrimp and chicken, I don't care for the shrimp in it), M roll (just too big for me), and kids yakisoba. In particular, the sushi rolls are good but they are really large (in width). I prefer smaller rolls that typically you eat a piece in one bite but that's my personal preference. Quality is very inconsistent in my experience- at least around lunch and for take-out. Out of the maybe 2/6 times I took out from here, the lunch specials were really good (and that was almost a year ago now!). The rest of the time, there was a noticeable drop in quality. For example, chicken that tastes weird, rubbery, and cheap, like it comes pre-cooked from the can. One time, the dish I ordered was so bad I ended up throwing it out after a few bites. I kept thinking (and hoping) that maybe the place was going through string of tough times and so I kept ordering a few months apart to see if anything got better but my most recent order confirmed for me that the place just isn't good. I didn't have reservations so we were okay with a wait however we were seated outside immediately, we didn't mind the weather was great. Brace yourselves the menu is huge with plenty of selections so it can be overwhelming at first glance. For starters we got the chicken lettuce wraps and the shrimp shumai- both were great and flavorful. Rock n roll sushi roll was also great I opted out for leaving off the masago but it tasted great so couldn't really tell you were missing something.
