There is a reason the parking lot is empty and we were the only customers during our entire dine-in experience. Inflexible not allowing us to purchase a cup of hot&sour soup when it was available. Had to purchase the big bowl for $13.95! Chow mein and bbq pork was cold. Egg fu yung was inedible! Sweet&sour chicken was chunks of unbattered chicken with their sauce on it. I went in yesterday, and bought their egg rolls, sweet and sour pork, and their egg flower soup. Not only did the food taste amazing, but it came out of the kitchen so fast, I could barely believe it! The staff was very friendly, and made sure my food was on my table as quickly as possible. 10/10 would recommend. I will be back again. read more

This is probably my favorite place to eat in Bonners ferry. The food is very good. I'd recommend the broccoli and beef, the sweet and sour chicken, and their egg flower soup is the best I have ever had. Their service is good. They only have a few people running it from what I can tell, but despite that it's a well oiled machine. Everyone is polite and friendly, and service is pretty quick for how good the food is. The atmosphere is positive and colorful. It's clean, (immaculate, really) well decorated, and well lit. I especially like the really big fans on the walls. 10 out of 10. We are visitors from SoCal and we are Chinese, and I really struggled to leave this review because the Korean waiter/cashier was very nice and friendly. She also kept asking how we liked the food and if the food wasn't as bad as it was, I would give it 5 stars just for the friendliness based on the price range. Service: 5 stars. Environment: 3 stars. Food: ... Ok so we both ordered the Super Duper, the waitress brought it out and was very excited for us to try, but let's break it down. The meats are dry and bland, completely under seasoned. The orange chicken was 3X more sweet than it's supposed to be, while having none of the flavors or saltiness. The bbq pork was cold and hard like rubber and flavorless. Most importantly, none of the food taste remotely Chinese, forget that it's almost unsalted, it's NOT Chinese food. Even Panda Express taste somewhat Chinese on some of their dishes. If you are local and you like the food here, travel to Seattle and try the Chinese food there, find a Chinese hk style bbq restaurant, and order the same food that you see here. You'll be VERY surprised. We literally took a bite and the waitress saw my facial reaction and came and ask if I didn't like it, and I felt so bad I just said oh no it's fine, I'm not too hungry. We got everything to go and dumped it next door at the market across from autozone. I'm not trying to hate, most of my reviews are 5 stars, but lately we've had several 4-4.5 rated restaurants that turns out to be subpar, and that's why I wanted to leave some honest reviews so there's balance. read more

Visited here on a trip last year. We ordered to-go, the indoor seating was closed at the time. But we didn't mind because we had the cutest Airbnb to get back to. Low and behold my fiancé proposed that weekend so you guys will also be on our places to eat if we ever find ourselves in Bonners Ferry again. :) Delicious food, no complaints. read more

Food came out extremely fast, hot, and delicious. We go to a Chinese restaurant in every small town we visit and this was a great example of a family owned hole in the wall that is perfect for a unique bite to eat. Only complaint is the 1.99 cost for a can of Diet Coke. read more

The only Asian food you'll find in Bonners Ferry, but that's okay! Because this will more than cover what you need. My favorites are almond chicken, special chow mein(its with the soft noodles), beef with broccoli, pot stickers,fried prawns and pork fried rice. The portions are large and the service is fast. Great place to go when you're hungry now! Potstickers take half an hour to cook, I usually call ahead. read more

It's sad when the Safeway has better Asian food than the Asian restaurant. Not that it is in any way authentic, not that I expect it to be: this is American-Chinese food. We live in the area and decided to give this place a try. 10$ for a half a plate of fried rice? The plates we were served were dismally small (in portions the plates were huge). I thought maybe it was because we came 45 minutes before they closed but then another couple walked in. They ordered combination plates and they were heaping full. I guess we just didn't 'look' like locals so we got the 'out of towner' plates. I think the waitress knew that we had been cheated and brought us another small plate of white rice....to share I guess. We were all very disappointed and went home hungry. From what we were able to taste of the food, it was reheated frozen sauces and vegies. Certainly not worth the cost or the experience of sitting in the uncomfortable dining area. The only person that gives Oriental Garden better than a FAIL, is someone that has never had Asian food (Of course we are talking the Americanized version), or is related to or friends with the owner. Brown gravy (like Swansons - out of a can) is their favorite sauce Order vegetable chowmein and you will get a plate of noodles with a few cooked frozen veggies (complete with freezer burn if you are not lucky), no seasoning or hint of Asian flavor and the best part?.........DICED TOMATOES on top. We really wanted to like this place, but it is the worst food we have ever had at a restaurant in our entire lives. I hope that one day, a talented Asian cuisine chef will move to our lovely little town and open a restaurant. Until then, the deli in our Safeway is our only edible choice, and barely so. read more
