First time coming here and it won't be our last. We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in. The booth seats are comfortable. The have a large menu, but all the pictures and descriptions are very helpful. We had the Pesto Naan and it's the Naan we have ever eaten. Light and crispy with lots of flavor. The Beef Tikka Masala has a rich and slightly sweet sauce and the meat was very tender. The Mango Curry Chicken had enough balance if sweet and heats and the pieces of chicken were moist. This time We got chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori tikka( served on a hot skillet with bell peppers and onions- very tasty! Eggplant dish (so flavorful )allo gobi, saag paneer ( absolutely amazing) chicken coconut curry and garlic naan, eggs noodles and mango rice were pretty good but all the other dishes were sooo delicious! This was for our family of 6( two teens) and of course we got some delicious filling mango lassis( big portion) you may want to split it with someone;) also our server Muskan was a good server and kind! I've been to their food truck before and already knew this would be the BEST Indian food available in the area. We ordered the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, along with two orders of butter chicken. Every entree order comes with basmati rice (flavored with cumin - delicious!) We ordered the butter chicken hottest and the tikka masala hit. Next time we would both ask for extra spicy - but we're a glutton for spice. I think the spice levels are great for the area, the butter chicken was just spicy enough to make me sweat a bit but i want a little more torture lol. the garlic naan was AMAZING and so huge! You could def get away with sharing one serving. The service was so polite, prompt and great. We had our order within 15 minutes of placing it inside - while the place was packed! it was really cool to see everyone enjoying eating inside. i even overheard people talking about how much they loved their food (the goat curry - and they've never had goat before). it was a super great take out experience :) read more

Thank you for an excellent meal! We live in Seattle and only have a couple of Indian restaurants we love. It was a pleasant surprise to find such an authentic Indian restaurant in Northern Idaho. The lamb dish I had was tender and full of flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My son loved the Mango Lassie, we loved the raita and chili garlic naan. The basmati rice was very aromatic, light and airy, perfect! I hope everyone in Sandpoint enjoys this amazing gem. It is hard to keep restaurants alive in this economy. Every three months, or so, the Wifey and I have a meal that is so much more lightyears above the really good experiences we've had. We eat out, weekly. Oh man, this was great. We know them from their food truck in the Cd'A area, but they've been incredibly smart to open not one, but TWO new brick and mortars in the Panhandle--definitely an area starved for Indian cuisine. I must mention they have beef on the menu, and most Indian restos do not offer it. In chatting with them after lunch, we found out the family bailed from California, for every reason smart people would, and they absolutely love it here in the Inland PNW. The wife and I had to try this after her job had them cater a lunch for them. The restaurant is nice and cool decor. The staff was nice but it was a bit difficult to understand them. Super thick accents and our hearing in busy environments isn't the best. That is my only negative on this place. The food was amazing and very well prepared. Taste and spices were beyond measure. We didn't know what 95% of the items were, but they all sounded good. We were more than pleased with our selections and for sure will be going back many times. read more

Good food. I'm not a connoisseur, but I thought it was very tasty. Spice level 3 worked for me. Good service. At $21, the lunch special was arguably enough for two, potentially making it a bargain. So why only three stars? Let me turn this around, and make it a question for the restaurant: why were we the only customers during our entire 90-minute visit? Possible explanations: foreign food in a small town. Off-season in a tourist town. Sure. No doubt that's some of it. But I have my own theory: the tip. Let me quote from an online artificial intelligence. My question to the AI: Went to a restaurant. At the end, waitress shows up with a device for payment. Just use my card and then punch a button for the tip. Minimum amount: 18%. Does this annoy people? AI: Yes, this practice is a widespread source of annoyance for consumers. It has fueled a growing frustration known as "guilt tipping" or "tipflation," where digital screens and preset minimums pressure customers into leaving larger gratuities than they otherwise might. ... The food is delicious - all cooked perfectly. We had samosas, a poppadom, chicken korma, dal mahkani, and an order of plain naan. The entries were medium spice - we felt the heat but not unpleasant for our taste.The servers were helpful and courteous clarifying questions about the menu. The restaurant was very clean and the paper table covers were changed after each guest finished/left the restaurant. Food was super bad. We order Chicken Tikka Masala, meat was like rubber and cold. The sauce was dark red. I assumed it was several days old. We rejected and she cooked a new one. This time chicken was tender, sauce was much lighter color but no taste at all. Chicken biryani was not fresh it was heated but not evenly. Even naan was not fresh. Mango lasse was the only good item. Communication is a big problem, however one lady was able to tell us 2 times a week different chef works there. I hope we are not going to have food poisoning... I went with 10 people and ordered over 350$ in food and The food is so authentic and real because the staff working there are authentic and real. Sonny is the owner operator and he's running around doing his best to convey the menu to the under cultured Sandpoint folks. This place is pretty great. The chicken tikka masala is wonderful, the coconut chicken curry, not so much. The vegetable samosas and garlic naan are top notch. My husband and I come here frequently.
