Business name: weird. Food: delicious. This is a charming little hole-in-the-wall with Asian and Mexican food. When we went, there was only one woman working there (we assumed the owner) who took our order, cooked the food, and bussed the tables. She was extremely kind and gracious, so full points for excellent service. The food was unexpectedly excellent as well, and we felt like we got great value for the price. I think this is now officially our favorite place for Asian in the area except Thai Nigiri, but with variety of options. Haven't tried the Mexican dishes yet but excited to return to try. The pho was delicious (not too much broth, plenty of noodles and meat, excellent ginger-y flavor); the orange chicken was moist, crispy, and wonderfully flavorful; the chicken chow mein was the perfect mixture of (stay with me) oily noodles with veggies and a great sauce. Bonus review (sorry no photo) - tried the boba tea, Taro flavor. Husband reports that it was perfectly fine, but bizarrely "liked it better before it got mixed up" so take that as you will. He says "above average", and he drank it all and would go back again for more... but there isn't much competition for boba in town, so there's that. Final results: two thumbs up. Next time we dine in Bonner's we're stopping here for sure. read more

Visiting Northern Idaho from Hawaii and caught a head cold. For me Pho is typically one of my "go to" meals when recovering to help flush out all the congestion, but let's be honest..this is Idaho. I love this place and enjoy the ppl, but it's not exactly a hotbed for southeast Asian cuisine or known for its "diverse" community. Anyways, I checked out the menu and saw a hodgepodge of dishes (pho, adobo, Mexican), and again almost changed my mind; however, the online reviews gave me a little hope. In the end, I made a take out order of the beef pho and lumpia. Woah!! this food is legit! I am actually blown away how good it was. The broth was full of flavor and packed some real heat and the lumpia was spot on, crispy outside tender/moist inside. 100% will eat from here the next time I visit the area. Two thumbs up! For those interested in dinning-in, I don't have much info (my other half picked up the food). She said it was a small place, but that the place smelt delicious. read more

Josephine was delightful and her food amazing! Deciding what to order was the first challenge. The menu offers so many intriguing choices. We started with the Lumpia - wonderful! And the dipping sauce was perfect. I had the Pork Adobo and it was fall off the bone, melt in your mouth delicious with so many complex flavors. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken. I'm not a sweet and sour fan but I would have been totally happy inhaling his meal. The sauce was not too sweet and not that cloying thick sauce you find so often. It was light and fresh and perfectly seasoned. Both plates came with a generous portion of steamed rice and a side of pickled tropical fruit salsa. I was so happy to have a little leftover for lunch the next day. And don't pass up the huckleberry lemonade. So much flavor! Can't wait to try the Pho next time as I hear it's over the top.
