This gem is tucked away in South east Carlsbad and I wouldn't have known it was there if it weren't for ClassPass. I was looking to get a massage and came across Massage Eden on ClassPass. I saw that they had offered abdominal massages so I booked a 60 min time slot on a Saturday morning. I had felt bloated for a week so I figured I would try this since the person I see for abdominal visceral massages was booked a month out. I was welcomed in and was take to a room for the massage. The place has nice aesthetics. I was told that the first half hour would focus on my back and then the abdominal for the second half. A gentleman did the back massage (he used a lot of his forearm and elbows). Then a woman came in to do the abdominal massage. At one point the woman stopped and told me that I still had 10 more minutes for my massage and she recommended that they will finish off the massage with the foot massage to help by using reflexology. There was no pain with the abdominal massage. It actually helped me be less bloated. I would definitely return for another abdominal massage. read more

Very disappointing experience. I walked into this business expecting to get a massage, and while I was standing at the front desk, they told me to purchase the service through Groupon. At no point did they mention that if I purchased it through Groupon, I wouldn't be able to redeem it that day and would instead have to schedule an appointment for the following week. If I was already in your store, ready to pay and receive a massage, why not simply let me pay you directly? It makes no sense to direct a customer to Groupon without explaining the restrictions. To make matters worse, I was unable to get a refund from either the business or Groupon. I don't want Groupon Bucks--I wanted my money back for a service I wasn't able to receive because of the way this was handled. The lack of communication and transparency was extremely frustrating. I left without a massage and without a refund. I hope they improve their policies and clearly explain any redemption restrictions before telling customers to purchase through Groupon. read more

Ohmygoodness! I found the perfect Carlsbad Headspa! Yes, clean-Yes, friendly and Yes worth it! Peter was professional. I'm picky and I like a deep tissue massage. Staff used good techniques that included: Muscle distraction, muscle reflexology, Myofascial release therapy. Peter did a really good job washing my hair. The experience starts out with you laying down and your head is under a rainbow shaped Spicket as warm water, surrounds your neck. Then added streams of water- cascades flow on your head of hair. Staff dry your hair. While my hair was drying, I had a nice massage on my extremities. When your hair is done, You receive a complete massage. I chose to have a head spa massage combo today and it was definitely worth my time. Do not use online booking! I booked an appointment later in the evening for a 9:00AM massage the next day. I went to the appointment and walked in because the door was propped open. I found it odd that my appointment was at 9:00AM but the door says they don't open until 9:30AM. Someone finally walked out from the back and she looked at me like I shouldn't be there. She spoke very little English. Four more ladies came in and they were clearly talking about me while looking at me. One of the women called a man on the phone. I finally told them it was clear I was inconveniencing them and just wanted my $92.50 deposit back. No one spoke English well enough to understand me. Apparently the man on the phone was the manager and they kept trying to hand me the phone. I finally took it on speaker and he asked what I was there for, I told him I had an appointment but at this point just wanted my money back. He told me the women would take me back and I firmly declined. They were all staring at me like I was disturbing them. The manager asked my name and said he would refund me. Who knows if I will get my money back. It was so awkward there was no way I was going to proceed with the massage. Never again. read more

Booked my appointment through ClassPass for a 60mins abdominal stomach massage. When I arrived, they let me know that 30mins would be dedicated to my abdominal area and the other 30mins would be focused on my neck, shoulders and back. If I could leave is zero star review, I absolutely would! My fiancé and I paid for a group on to go get an abdominal lymphatic drain massage, cupping and hot stone for today which is a Friday - after looking at the fine print on Groupon and calling the massage spa they told us that Groupon's were only valid from Monday to Thursday until 3 PM however, that is not listed anywhere on Groupon. We double checked the fine print and called them back. They insisted that it was listed there. Meanwhile, I was looking at the fine print. Nothing is listed there except for stating that the merchant is responsible for honoring what is advertised on Groupon. When I pointed that out, she told me that she had the right to refuse service to anybody without acknowledging that their post on Groupon does not specify a timeframe for which Groupon packages can be used. I told her that are operating hours listed on Google show 9 AM to 10 PM and she again said to check Groupon call Groupon and the responsibility was not hers. This business is unprofessional and practices false advertising when a customer then pointed out the customer is told that they are a liar and must figure it out on their own. read more

The spa is clean and zen. The staff was very nice and precessional. I got a 60 minute lymphatic drainage massage 7/10. My lady was rough but I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be. I have never gotten one before so I just let her do her thing and I powered through it. She focused on my back most of the time. I was not relaxed because it hurt but like I said I didn't stop her because I wanted her to do it as she knows how to. I also got a 90 minute scalp massage that was a 8/10. It was relaxing but the best part was the body massage she gave me while my hair was steaming. She massages my legs, feet, and stomach which was very relaxing and felt amazing. For me, felt like the man providing the service had only one hand and wasn't sure how to use the equipment. Water went everywhere... and not where it should have gone. I pinched a nerve on my arm while doing yoga and wasn't able to brush my hair with my right hand. The pain was gone after the massage and my arm was fully functional afterwards. This was by far the weirdest "massage" experience I've ever had. There was no real technique--just random patting and rubbing, like someone absentmindedly brushing crumbs off a table. To make it even stranger, the masseuse actually crawled on top of me at one point, which felt incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. Communication was a nightmare since none of the staff spoke English, so explaining what I wanted was impossible. To top it all off, they had a habit of leaving the door wide open while I was lying there, completely vulnerable and exposed. I came yesterday with a friend and we tied out the 90 minute hair/scalp treatment. I was nervous to come since the reviews were 50/50 but I live up the street and was hoping for the best. Long story short, I had a great experience and will be back. Long story long... the reviews are right that there is a language barrier. The front desk is smooth, no issues there. I saw CeCe and she doesn't speak any English but she used her phone to translate and we didn't have any issues. She was very tentative and responsive to my needs like if I wanted the water hotter or the steam became too much. If I had a tickle on the nose, she was aware of it. She gave a very "deep tissue" massage on my stomach and thighs. My friend said it was like a lymphatic massage. That's not usually my favorite but I enjoy trying new things and would do it again. I truly wish I could give a 0 star review. this was the worst "spa" I've ever stepped into. i DO NOT recommend getting a "horrible hair shampoo" from this "spa". Water covering the floor i. the room, my attendant got up and walked out of my room more than when sitting at my shampoo. My hair is a MESS as well as my daughters. I think they use dollar store shampoo and I spent over an hour at my hotel on my poor hair afterwards. Where do I start? I have been looking for a spa to get a lymphatic detox massage, ionic detox foot soak and a reflexology foot massage for almost a year. You can find these three things if you want to drive to LA or OC but you still have to go to different spas to get all three.... When I found this spa that offered all three and more I about fell over. I booked immediately and Oooommmmmggggosh this was over the top fabulous!!! CiCi was an incredible lady, sweet smile, strong hands, so helpful, very respectful. She gave me the best lymphatic massage I have ever had. Usually when getting an ionic detox foot soak, you just sit and read for 30 minutes while the ionic soak cleans out all the chemicals and metals from your body. Instead CiCi gave me a neck, shoulder and head massage while my feet were soaking, it was incredible. After flushing my system with the foot soak, CiCi gave me a reflexology foot massage. I left that place floating on clouds. I went home and drank tons of fluids and I truly felt so much better. Thank you CiCi The Eden spa was so clean, I loved the wide corridor to get to the rooms, nicely lit so you could see. The soft music was a great choice. The rooms were nice with comfortable cousioned tables, the bathroom was cool too shhh CiCi communicated by text message and I love that. I've already booked my next session.
