Do not use online booking! I booked an appointment later in the evening for a 9:00AM massage the next day. I went to the appointment and walked in because the door was propped open. I found it odd that my appointment was at 9:00AM but the door says they don't open until 9:30AM. Someone finally walked out from the back and she looked at me like I shouldn't be there. She spoke very little English. Four more ladies came in and they were clearly talking about me while looking at me. One of the women called a man on the phone. I finally told them it was clear I was inconveniencing them and just wanted my $92.50 deposit back. No one spoke English well enough to understand me. Apparently the man on the phone was the manager and they kept trying to hand me the phone. I finally took it on speaker and he asked what I was there for, I told him I had an appointment but at this point just wanted my money back. He told me the women would take me back and I firmly declined. They were all staring at me like I was disturbing them. The manager asked my name and said he would refund me. Who knows if I will get my money back. It was so awkward there was no way I was going to proceed with the massage. Never again. read more

My fiancé and I paid for a group on to go get an abdominal lymphatic drain massage, cupping and hot stone for today which is a Friday - after looking at the fine print on Groupon and calling the massage spa they told us that Groupon's were only valid from Monday to Thursday until 3 PM however, that is not listed anywhere on Groupon. We double checked the fine print and called them back. They insisted that it was listed there. Meanwhile, I was looking at the fine print. Nothing is listed there except for stating that the merchant is responsible for honoring what is advertised on Groupon. When I pointed that out, she told me that she had the right to refuse service to anybody without acknowledging that their post on Groupon does not specify a timeframe for which Groupon packages can be used. I told her that are operating hours listed on Google show 9 AM to 10 PM and she again said to check Groupon call Groupon and the responsibility was not hers. This business is unprofessional and practices false advertising when a customer then pointed out the customer is told that they are a liar and must figure it out on their own. read more

The spa is clean and zen. The staff was very nice and precessional. I got a 60 minute lymphatic drainage massage 7/10. My lady was rough but I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be. I have never gotten one before so I just let her do her thing and I powered through it. She focused on my back most of the time. I was not relaxed because it hurt but like I said I didn't stop her because I wanted her to do it as she knows how to. I also got a 90 minute scalp massage that was a 8/10. It was relaxing but the best part was the body massage she gave me while my hair was steaming. She massages my legs, feet, and stomach which was very relaxing and felt amazing. I came yesterday with a friend and we tied out the 90 minute hair/scalp treatment. I was nervous to come since the reviews were 50/50 but I live up the street and was hoping for the best. Long story short, I had a great experience and will be back. Long story long... the reviews are right that there is a language barrier. The front desk is smooth, no issues there. I saw CeCe and she doesn't speak any English but she used her phone to translate and we didn't have any issues. She was very tentative and responsive to my needs like if I wanted the water hotter or the steam became too much. If I had a tickle on the nose, she was aware of it. She gave a very "deep tissue" massage on my stomach and thighs. My friend said it was like a lymphatic massage. That's not usually my favorite but I enjoy trying new things and would do it again. Where do I start? I have been looking for a spa to get a lymphatic detox massage, ionic detox foot soak and a reflexology foot massage for almost a year. You can find these three things if you want to drive to LA or OC but you still have to go to different spas to get all three.... When I found this spa that offered all three and more I about fell over. I booked immediately and Oooommmmmggggosh this was over the top fabulous!!! CiCi was an incredible lady, sweet smile, strong hands, so helpful, very respectful. She gave me the best lymphatic massage I have ever had. Usually when getting an ionic detox foot soak, you just sit and read for 30 minutes while the ionic soak cleans out all the chemicals and metals from your body. Instead CiCi gave me a neck, shoulder and head massage while my feet were soaking, it was incredible. After flushing my system with the foot soak, CiCi gave me a reflexology foot massage. I left that place floating on clouds. I went home and drank tons of fluids and I truly felt so much better. Thank you CiCi The Eden spa was so clean, I loved the wide corridor to get to the rooms, nicely lit so you could see. The soft music was a great choice. The rooms were nice with comfortable cousioned tables, the bathroom was cool too shhh CiCi communicated by text message and I love that. I've already booked my next session. My husband had a bad experience today. He checked in at 10:45 for an 11 am appt and the receptionist was not friendly, she was rude. She seemed to be in a very bad mood & she was arguing with a co-worker. My husband felt uncomfortable & awkward to witness the argument; then he proceeded to let the receptionist know that he had a 90 mins massage booked with Cici that his wife booked 2 weeks ago. He was told Cici was no longer working there & that someone else was going to do his massage today. Although the lady that filled in did a good job, I wished your establishment should have reached out to us as a courtesy to let us know. All in all, the entire experience left him very uncomfortable and he won't be coming back especially when I bragged how great my experience was 2 weeks ago when I was there for my first time massage there with Cici. read more

Unfortunately, my experience here was quite the let down and will not be returning after the rather unique experience. I was pretty excited to get a massage after the thorough reviews of the massages here. Place is. Absolutely nice and has potential. Price point - very good. Fair. Standard. I decided to get a 90 minute with CiCi... the massage started okay with normal practices of getting you warmed up before the actual massage. My first thought was that the warming up process took 25-30 minutes was extensive and not necessary, at most 15 minutes is fair but this was dragged on for too long. Once the actual massage started it was quite good and can't complain much about it. After 1 hour I noticed a changed in massage pattern and also listened to the queues of the masseuses. Was she okay? Not sure if she was frustrated or annoyed but I could hear so much sighs coming from her. Almost as if she didn't want to do the massage. I got elbowed a couple times in the head (I'm sure it was accident which is okay) but it wasn't acknowledged by her. The massage patterns were very aggressive and the rubbing of the hot stones was quite unnecessary. I simple got a feeling of frustration from the masseuse. Yes, I requested for a hard massage but definitely not to the point where my legs are being throw from one side to another. Also, can this place PLEASE invest in some clocks and place them in the room? Towards the end some employee came in and started whispering loudly presumably that the time was almost up. I found that to be annoying, while also leaving the door open. Hallways are LOUD from employees talking. PLEASE be considerate of this and carry conversations out of the hallways where the walls are not as thin. No joke. Coming to think about it, I should have ended the session myself after the turn it took. I will not be coming back here and was very disappointed in the service. I should have not left a tip but I did for the effort the masseuse tried in the first 30 minutes of the ACTUAL massage (not the warm up). Good luck to anyone considering this place! read more

I was happy to see this spot open in my neighborhood on the corner of La Costa Ave and Rancho Santa Fe. The outdoor photo showed the head/scalp shower tool so I was excited to book an appointment, as I had an amazing experience at another place. All of the reviews on here were positive ones for full body massages, so naturally I expected to have a positive experience as well. Unfortunately, that was not the case. First off, I went in to purchase a gift card to bring my BFF for her birthday. When I arrived, the lady did not speak English and had me speak to someone on the phone. She then told me to book my appt online, which I did. I was required to put $100 deposit down and they prefer cash payments. When we arrived for our appts the following week, a woman directed us each to a private room and told us to get undressed and lie face down. I was a bit confused since I booked a scalp, head and neck massage. She said they start with a massage. I went along with it thinking they would just massage the upper back/neck. As I was getting undressed, I got a phone call from them asking where we were for our appts. I told them we were there and getting undressed. (Very strange since I booked it online, as instructed). I highly doubt my masseuse had a license to practice because the massage was horrible. Several times I had to ask her to stop and she didn't speak English so she didn't understand. She massaged my neck, arms and upper back but the pressure was so deep I couldn't stand it. When she started to massage my legs, I told her I thought I was getting a head and scalp massage. But she didn't understand and had to get someone to speak to me. She didn't bother covering me up and left me exposed. I had to cover up when the woman entered and I explained I was confused because I didn't book a full body massage. She went on to say it was part of the scalp treatment. When she finally started with the hair washing and scalp treatment, it was basically a rigorous, painful, scrub of the scalp using different tools. It was in no way, relaxing at all. It did not fit the description and was basically just someone trying to wash my hair. I have long hair and she never lifted my head to comb it out. She started to dry it while it was still in the basin, so I told her I was good, which again, she didn't understand. I asked for a towel to wipe my dripping face and she looked around, and shrugged her shoulders. I honestly couldn't wait for it to be over. I give this place 1 star because my friend at least said her massage was decent from the male masseuse. But she was disappointed because she was also expecting to experience the head and scalp treatment. The place is also clean with nice aesthetics. Based on the other reviews, you might have a better experience with just a massage, with the right masseuse. But don't bother with the head and scalp treatment. I've had many massages in the past at various places and if you can't maintain the clients privacy by covering them up appropriately, you need more training. And the language barrier was a huge issue because communication is extremely important for any business. read more
