Originally we were going to eat in the restaurant next door, but since they were closed, we ended up on this one, the service was average, the food it was over priced it was ok but not for $515 dollars plus tip on 3 steaks , 2 sides & 4 margaritas. I usually eat way better and about the same price at an steak house in the U.S, plus you have to pay for parking. I wished I would've time to read the reviews on Yelp, usually I do... Definitely not coming back.

One of my favorite places to go here in Tijuana, food is delicious, specially the stake de chicharrón, octopus, margaretta pizza, guacamole side and salads. I could name it all but will take long. Staff is very friendly and always go to your table to make sure you have everything. Also place has a good wine selection.

Authentic Argentinian Grill with the most amazing empanadas and lemonade. Great Staff frendly and attentive, the owner Juan Carlos happened to be there and was just a true pleasure to meet. Now the food we order asado de tira (beef ribs) and Entraña grilled to perfection, empanadas are out of this world good, for our sides we order honey glazed beets and French fries both delicious the establishment is simple but nicely decorated with a nice wine list and full bar menu. A must for us when we return to TJ. BTW they offer secure off the street Valet parking

Food was delicious! My sister in law and I shared this and we still had leftovers. Service was beyond excellent.

If I'm lookin' to chow down a great Argentine style ribeye steak, filet mignon, organic roasted chicken or just a Wagyu burger, this the place. It's worth the trek past the San Diego/Tijuana border! And even if i don't get my favorite table, I'm chill 'cause that Dirty Martini and red wine served by Rodrigo makes me smile & chill! Grilled tomatoes with garlic and roasted, caramelized beets are great starters. A four-cheese (quattro formaggi) pizza follows with spinach salad dressed with feta, cranberries, pear & lime vinaigrette! Don't wanna bombard you with Origen Argentino's homemade pasta menu, but its high-end desserts are decadent!

Showed up here after having visited Fonda Argentina down the road here and wanted to see what this place was all about . Pretty fancy place , super modern, super clean , a whole lot of selection of wines and such , the menu was similar but I thought the selection at Fonda Argentina was just better . We were quickly attended to by our server, friendly and fast guy , ordered up some grilled chicken, after looking at the menu , I did think the prices were pretty high and did. It think that the food matched up with the prices , other than that it was good but I much preferred Fonda Argentina when I compare it to this place, sorry but it's just my very honest opinion. I would say that I might be back but very likely will not. Definitely worth checking out, you might have a different take on the place.

Great service and food. No a big selection of drink and same price as a 5star steakhouse in the US without the same quality meats.

Im giving 5 star this restaurant because 1. We went there from a park so we're not dressed for that kind of classy restaurant BUT they treat ys really really good. Not like other expensive restaurants that judge you by your appearance. That's one of the main reasons why I'm giving 5 star. 2. From valet service to enter the restaurant really good service. 3. The food is great.. they have the choices prime for the steaks. Our server is really nice. I forgot to take picture of the rib eye but my husband and son really love it. It's cook really well and the steak is soft. The Tomahawk is good. Good for 3 its HUGE.. for me and for my 2 girls. 4. EVERYONE that is SERVER is WITH MASK AND FACESHIELD AND GLOVES. 5. the place have dividers on each tables.

First time here. I had the organic steak... it was BOMB wonderful service. The resultant is open inside and outside on the patio. They have an impressive wine & tequila selection, as well as whiskey . The veggies were grilled to perfection. They serve the steak with onions , garlic & great sauces. My organic steak was wonderfully cooked & juicy. They have wagu beef & hamburgers everything! I recommend !

First time going here! My family who lives in tj love going here and it was my grandmas birthday so they wanted to go there. My uncle made reservations at 8pm! We got there and got sat right away. When we got there I noticed right away prices were not listed in the menu! How are we supposed to know how much things cost??? From there I knew things were not going to be good. I started off with some strawberry virgen margarita, bf got a coke and a tamarindo Margarita, mom got a tamarindo Margarita, grandma and sisters got piñas coladas, uncle a glass of wine and my other uncle a beer! For appetaizer we got the pulpo preparado and 8 empanadas 2 of each of them! They brought complimentary bread which was bla bla!! The appetaizeda were really good the best part of the entire dinner! My favorite one was the spinach empanada and also the corn empanada. I ordered raviolis with Alfredo sauce. Sister got the fettuccine Alfredo and add chicken to it. Mom and uncle got the steak breaded! My grandma and bf got the rib eye and my other uncle got a steak as well. We ordered a chaser salad, potatoes and guacamole as the sides. To be honest steaks were not good at all very dry!! The food was bad bad bad bad!! I couldn't believe how bad the food was! I was expecting way more than this!!! And they knew it was a birthday celebration and not even a complementary something!! Not even something small!!! I had to ordered a dessert and ask for a candle! We ordered the flan and some ice cream. This is the interesting part! When the bill comes!!! 5045 pesos for what we ate wow!! Almost 300 dollars that was way to to much for what we ate and for the quality of the food!!! It was a joke to be honest!!!! Not coming back unless my family really wants to go

We got here late and was looking around for a restaurant that still opens after 11pm , we decided to try this place out, best decision ever . The atmosphere is dim and romantic eating, i was here with the bois tho. We ordered signature steak and fries, octopus , bone marrow , Everything was yummy and had its own unique taste. Guys if you come here give this place a visit , definitely coming back next time we are in TJ from Ca

We decided to try this place because of the amazing Google reviews!…read more but boy, were we wrong! Hear me out. From the moment we arrived, we felt rushed to our seats. We asked to move outside to catch the game, and while the server accommodated us, it was clear he wasn't too thrilled about it. We started with drinks, which were actually great; so good that we ended up ordering three rounds plus shots! For appetizers, we had the grilled bone marrow and empanadas, followed by a New York strip loin (recommended by the server) with creamy spinach and truffle fries. The empanadas and fries were delicious, but the steak was completely bland, definitely not worth the price. We asked for a spicy salsa, and the server brought one out "on the house," which was amazing. I even asked to take the leftover salsa home. Now, here's where things turned shady. Throughout the meal, the server kept upselling us on everything; which we didn't mind since we were having a good time. But when the bill came, we noticed he charged us for the leftover salsa that he originally said was complimentary! It wasn't about the money, but the principle. We asked him to remove the charge and told him to forget the salsa. The manager noticed what happened, took care of the charge, and even packed the salsa with our leftovers. The server, however, never returned to the table after that. The ambiance and cleanliness were fine, but overall, the experience left a bad taste. VERDICT: I will not be coming back.

Both the mocktails and the cocktails were delightfully tasty. Our waiter Fernando was exceptional, going as far as to bring us the various cuts of meat when we have questions about what to order. The meat! The meat! The best steak my wife and I have had I'm recent memory! She had the Bite de Lomo. I had the arrechera. We both couldn't have been happier with our choice. We're already talking about making a trip down from San Diego to have dinner here!

I had a friend visiting Tijuana so we went for dinner the last day he was in town…read more Despite living in TJ for a few years now I have not been able to try any Argentinian restaurant yet. The only I did try was "El Tucumano" which was located in downtown TJ, but that was over 5 years ago when I was living in San Diego. At the time we left feeling that the overall experience was mediocre at best. Anyway so this time we left Playas de Tijuana at 830 pm and heading to Rosarito. We were not aware the the restaurants there close at 9 pm so best case we could get there 5 or 10 minutes before the time they would close. Giving the time restraints we called a few places just to make sure we were going to be fine. The first place we called was restaurant "El Gaucho", they said they close at 9 pm every day and they take orders till 845 pm. Since it was 842 or 843 pm they said to look for another restaurant as they were not taking us. Then, we moved to the next place we found on Google, that place was Patagonia. Although they also closed at 9 pm we thought we were unlikely going to be accepted, but the hostess on the phone said that they were going to accommodate us, she just asked if we knew what we wanted to that they could get started as the kitchen was about to close. Since we knew what we wanted to order we could order on the phone, making things easier for everyone. We got there exactly at 9 pm, we sat down, got a soda and a glass of wine and by the time we got the drink the food was already there, just out of the grill. Timing was beyond perfect, it could not get any better. We got a parrillada for 2, but indeed, the food that comes with it its for 2 big eaters, to be honest this would have been more than enough for 3 average eaters. The cuts were really tender and flavorfull, without significant fat pockets. It was really tasty, similar to the parrilladas you would get in good restaurants in Argentina. It came with 2 or 3 different steaks; flank steak, skirt steak and short ribs. The parrillada came also with corn on the cob, chorizo and morcilla as well as a side of fries . We also got 2 empanadas to start with and for dessert we got an alfajor (we were stuffed but we could not leave without trying a dessert). Overall we were were happy, I am Argentinian so I can definitely appreciate a good quality parrillada and it's not that living away from home for 25 years made me forget the standards I developed when I lived in Argentina. I was happy with the food, the generous servings we got along with the fair prices we paid and mostly with the fact that i could proudly show a Mexican friend how good the Argentinian parrilladas are. A few years ago I visited Mexico and they proudly took me to different places to try Mexico's best cuisine and I ended up getting nothing but their finest. Now, despite the limited options Tijuana has I was still able to catch up and get them to sample some of Argentinian's best beef. I could not be happier with the overall experiene at Patagonia in Rosarito.

Enjoyed this restaurant! Due to the outstanding reviews on Yelp, decided to trek on down from the…read moreSan Diego border to Rosarito to check this spot out. Patagonia is located right in the heart of downtown Rosarito, within a short walking distance of the beach and well-known Papas & Beer nightclub. Was slightly hard to find at first, though there is a small red sign from the storefronts on main street (Hwy 1) indicating where the restaurant is. The restaurant is actually located in a charming garden court slightly off the main street, co-located with a few other restaurants and shops. Got to the restaurant a little before 1:30 pm on a Friday, not too long after they opened for the day. Only one other set of customers was there at the time so I was able to be seated immediately. Was surprised by how small the spot is, almost felt like you were walking into someone's home rather than a restaurant, though I very much appreciated the old-school, "homey" feel and decor. 4-5 tables inside, another 4-5 tables outside, with the kitchen right in the front of the restaurant where you can see all the food being prepared. A couple of cats randomly roaming around the restaurant also added to the charm, LOL. Seems to be a family-owned restaurant judging from the size, decor, and the fact that the waiter who took my order was also helping in the kitchen. The waiter who greeted me spoke pretty good English so language barrier was no issue. I ordered the 16 oz grilled ribeye steak (Bife Patagonia), which comes with your choice of french fries (which I chose) or salad. There's not an extensive drink list here - mostly some wines, sangria, juices, and water - so I just went with some mineral water rather than the usual beer I would get at this type of restaurant. A few minutes after ordering they waiter brought out a few pieces of complimentary bread with homemade sauces. Small portioned, but very tasty! They then brought out the french fries before bringing out the steak, which I thought was a little odd (these are typically brought out at the same time), but wasn't a problem for me. The ribeye was very well-portioned, juicy, and damn good. Wouldn't say it's up there with the best I've ever had, or even the best I've had in Mexico, but it was good. At 695 pesos (~$35 dollars) I thought it was great value relative to comparable steakhouses both in Mexico and the U.S. Altogether with the 2 mineral waters I ordered (50 pesos each), my total bill came out to 795 pesos (~40) which was actually much less than I was expecting to pay going in. Patagonia does accept credit cards and they have their own free wi-fi. While most people who go to steakhouses like this dress up nicely, there is no dress code here. I was very casually dressed when I went here, as was the waiter and all the other workers who were there at the time. Very charming restaurant with good food at a great price! Definitely recommend checking out at least once if you happen to be in the area!
