Red Chili Lime Shrimp Bowl. Very good.
    Mike S.

Good food, served fairly quickly. They have a good selection of bowls and salads where you can assemble the items to your liking. The shrimp was very good, but the chicken was a little dry. Everything was very flavorful, and we will go back..

My favorite spot for a health fulfilling lunch. Plenty of parking at this location. The staff are friendly.

Great counter service! And so Worth mentioning, I was greeted as soon I walked into The Original Chop Shop Lakewood. Why haven't I stopped in to try Chop Shop's green curry tofu bowl before today? Clearly, i do not have an answer. But I will return for the super fresh roasted vegetables, which were broccoli & cauliflower florets, sliced carrots and roasted baby Bella mushrooms (I believe Bellas), placed over quinoa, all were perfectly seasoned too. Minus the snap peas. I asked Michael at the counter how were my tofu prepared. Without hesitation he replied grilled lightly with salt and pepper. Fresh ingredients do not require much, very simple seasoning but extremely flavorful. The entire bowl was warm, drizzled with a light green curry sauce, just good and good for you ingredients. Next visit I will request the sauce on the side. In my opinion, this green curry sauce Unified all the flavors into a glorious bite. The decor is bright and cheerful. Indoor or patio dining are available. In addition to my bowl I ordered hubby a take-out chicken teriyaki bowl no onions.

ChopShop is one of my go-to places when I need a quicker, healthier meal. Don't get me wrong, DFW has some amazing food options, and plenty of them, but sometimes it seems difficult to find anything I would consider "healthy". Enter ChopShop. Moderate prices, fresh ingredients, quick service, and I can fill up a without regretting it later. I haven't had anything I've disliked and I continue to frequent the place. Their fresh drinks are good too, though a bit sweet for my taste. If you've been searching for that healthier option, you've found it. Go ahead and give it a try.

Spicy Korean Steak Bowl GF w/ Sweet Potato Hash & Forbidden Rice

This place is such a cute chop shop. I love the location, the vibe, and the amazing counter service. I also love the fact that there are several alternatives to each individual bowl, so there's also something new to look forward to. This go around I ordered the spicy Korean steak bowl with sweet potato hash and the forbidden rice. It was my first time trying the forbidden rice and it didn't disappoint. The flavors of everything really came together and made this bowl a delight. They pack the bowls pretty full (steak and all) so you know you're getting your money's worth. With such a full bowl, they should consider adding more of the sauce so that it makes for a better blend. Still a solid bowl though. ALSO... have you guys tried their Chocolate Coconut Cashew cookie?? I personally have never seen a combination like that before so naturally, I had to try it. Thank me later.

Wow, this place is incredible but is really a hidden gem. It is so beautiful inside and out and the decor is arranged so nicely. The cashier immediately acknowledged me when I walked in even while attending to another customer. She also answered all the questions I had very gracefully which is a big one. Then the food, I ordered the red chili like shrimp bowl with a lemonade and sweet tea, while the friend I came with got a Moroccan sandwich. The rice had a sweet and spicy chili paste and it was good but I wish the paste was a little bit thicker so it would stick on the rice more, but other than that, I quite enjoyed it. The sandwich got finished in 5 minutes so I'm sure my friend enjoyed it as well. It was a great way to spend my Sunday, I will definitely come back!

I really enjoyed coming here! I got the grilled steak sandwich + the daily detox juice (I love fresh juices) both were really good and my bf got the chicken teriyaki bowl, which was tasty too. Service is great and it's really a nice place to grab lunch! There's alot of seating too. They have a variety of options. Everything fresh! It was definitely getting busy when we walked in. I will be back to try more.

This was my first visit to a chop shop after seeing a location here and there in the DFW area. This restaurant is geared towards those who are more health conscious and they have a lot of fresh ingredients. The staff here are friendly and the service is fast. I could not decide what to get, but I saw their chicken teriyaki bowl is recommended here. You have the option to choose your base for your bowl and I chose brown rice. The pricing on this bowl came out to about $14/$15 which is on the pricier side. The main item on this dish is the chicken and it was really dry. I enjoyed the flavor, but it was disappointing. For $15 on a bowl of chicken rice, I would like my chicken to be good. The reason this review is 4 stars, is the flavor was good and the service was great.

Very cute modern inside, located In a moderately busy shopping center . I opted for the viral Grinder sandwich and a lemonade . It came with a pickle ! Next time I'll try a protein bowl!

    Club sandwich! Yummy
    Zoe M.

Came in here right after working out and was craving a healthy but delicious lunch. Very easy to find and park. Right away, I noticed the strawberry ginger lemonade. This was so good, you have no idea. The ginger gave it just the touch to make it unique, sweet but not too sweet and delish. It looked and tasted fresh. Definitely not like other places where artificial flavors are the norm. The club sandwich was really really good, but my favorite part was that the bacon was crispy. I say this with such excitement because rarely at a restaurant you get a club sandwich where the bacon is crispy inside the sandwich. This was such a surprise. The sandwich was fresh, the bread was multigrain and not overpowering, had just enough of everything. You can see it in my pictures. I loved the pickle too. The customer service was very nice at the counter and everyone was very friendly and fast. I work in the area and didn't know about this place. Now I need to come here and try one of their bowls and salads, which look amazing! Until next time!

We were huge fans of Meddlesome Moth(which had closed a few months prior). The beer list didn't excite me(I'm a beer snob) but the bar vibe and the great staff quickly made me forget about that. We eat there twice a month now and when we don't get in on a regular schedule, we really miss it. I'm a huge fan of the steak frites and my wife loves the weekly pasta dishes which never disappoint. The cocktails are great and they're made by the friendliest barkeeps in town(Matt, Christine) Christopher keeps the place flowing and Brittani(owner) is great and always welcoming. The overall vibe is comfy and totally unpretentious. Goldies is a hidden gem but has quickly become a popular spot. Great spots like this don't stay hidden very long. Highly recommended! Carter L

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.

I ended up only ordering a drink and an appetizer because I was so disappointed I didn't want to go further. $23.75 Joey Martini - just a simple dry vodka martini w Kettle One. But the description lured me in with the promise of a fantastic martini with an "extra martini on the side". What I received was a half of a martini with the rest of my martini in a shaker next to it. The martini was fine but nothing special. Not the first time I've overplayed for a drink but I do feel a little funny about the way their menu sold me then undelivered. $19 Hummus - The food was an issue for me though. When I order Hummus, I expect to receive hummus. Like the dish should be 70-80% hummus with some light toppings and some good pita bread. What I received was a pretty plate but very little actual hummus and a disaster of pita. First, they made a pretty plate circle of a small band of hummus then filled it with extra stuff to make it APPPEAR as if the center was filled with hummus yet there was zero hummus except for that small outer band. I estimate 49% hummus and the rest tzatziki and garnishment. Don't get me wrong, very aesthetically pleasing and tasty "extras" but the menu item isn't titled "EXTRAS with a little hummus". It's titled "Hunmus". And the pita... oh boy, what a mess. Proper pita is lightly grilled - served warm with a nice sponginess yet bite friendly approach. This pita was way over saturated in their butter/oil, and crisped up to the point there were burn marks and char on every piece. Horrible pairing with hummus and JOEY should know it. I feel these other reviews may be fake honestly as the prices are insane and the execution quite poor. Be careful. $45 for a $15 meal isn't worth it. Go somewhere else - I'm including a pic of the "hummus" reveal so you see what I'm talking about

We wanted to be up there but in 3 digit degree heat in Dallas, we were not going to stay out there lol. Downstairs was regular dining. The great thing was that they were accommodating and let us do happy hour downstairs. Parking: the lot was super full and I thought we couldn't park in the open spaces in front of the stores since they looked reserved, but we got confirmation that we were good to park there.

The staff provided us with recommendations as well as they were accommodating to my food allergy. The drinks and food were delicious, I recommend coming to their happy hour, where some drinks and food specials are from 4-6 everyday. The cheeseburger, fries and Caesar salad were delicious. I will definitely be back soon!

The staff was very welcoming, and the other guests I encountered were friendly and sociable. The drinks were excellent. On my first visit, I had the Hugo Spritz, which was mixed to perfection. During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas. Between the atmosphere, welcoming service, and well-crafted drinks, it's definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in town.

The patio was pretty empty when I arrived at the end of happy hour but quickly started to fill with post-work patrons. My server, Jesse, was great! Super attentive and friendly. I tried the Texas Heat Flatbread ($8 on Mondays) and the Tater Kegs. They were each very tasty. The portion sizes were large enough that I could box half of it up for later. You could easily split a flatbread and an app between two people. **Girlies, I know where you need to be "girl dinner & yapping" on a Monday night** The restaurant's proximity to the White Rock Lake trails is also a perk. I was able to take a quick post dinner walk along the water. I will definitely be coming back for a post-walk "rehydration" break at a later date.

Jesus. Might as well P!SS in my glass and call it beer. I need to go back to brewing Brit beer recipes and holding a gratis Friday happy hours and game time back at my house for the miserable excuses of brewpubs in Dallas.
