For a quick pasta fix, there's no other place than here to get some good spaghetti. It seems like their recipe has been the same for several decades. Garlic bread loaf is always soft on the inside with just slightest crunch on the outside. Alfredo is very good also, but the house special and maybe a few meatballs will go quite the distance. Service is efficient. The restaurant has been the same "look" for quite awhile. It's clean, but I don't patronize places for the ambiance. I ordered the baked spaghetti with marinara and veggies (mushroom, peppers,onion) for take out. The service was fast and pleasant. It is a no frills type of place, and to be honest, it wasn't bad. It was clean and reminded me of the mom and pop shops that use to be all around before the overrun of fast food and chain restaurants. The 4 stars was because there was a a cluttered area after an ac issue. Overall I would eat here again. Their prices are good, the portions are pretty big, and I like the nostalgia of the place. read more

Back in the 80s when we were cruising the Wabash wearing argyle socks and ISU preppy sweaters, this was the go-to for a bucket of spaghetti and bread. That's all we ever ordered here. But they have so much more! On a Homecoming visit stopped here for a hot sub, and it was delicious!! The meat was fine, the tomatoes and banana peppers were fresh, but the fresh bread roll was incredible! Some of the best bread I've ever tasted and yet it was served in a clamshell takeaway box. Local owners and their family members run the place. Lovely husband/wife couple were super nice and provided excellent service. I will stop here again for sure. read more

This place is great! I passed this restaurant tons of times but never stopped until last year as I didn't know much about it. So I stopped on my way from my residence in Indianapolis to my parents home in Vincennes. Got a to go order of a bucket of spaghetti with their sweet Italian garlic bread. It was a big hit for all of us. For one, they give you a lot for the money. It can certainly feed a family of four for just $14. The sauce is plentiful and very robust. However, the biggest hit was the bread. THE best garlic bread I have ever had. It tastes like Kings Hawaiian but it is a garlic loaf. It looks burnt on the outside but don't let that fool you as it certainly is not. Perfectly cooked. The outside of the place may look old, outdated, and ragged but don't let that deter you and stop here! read more

I've had other items throughout the years but those are my go-to's. The bread. Heavenly. It's been that way for as long as I can remember and I've been eating there for the past 30+ years. This place is like going back to 1986. The prices, the decor, the staff! No frills good Italian-American food. My son loves the spaghetti and meatballs, along with the generous portion kf garlic bread they serve with it. I must say it is some of best garlic bread I've ever had, and it's cheap! The place is small, but you don't go for the ambience. It's cheap eats that will leave you satisfied. I always get the Deluxe Pizza Bread. So effing amazing! My son and I ate for under $15! It's a tradition for us now. I grew up a couple of blocks from here and loved it on the 80's and 90's. Nice to roll in town and still get the same great food that doesn't dent the wallet. read more

I'm seriously upset with how the establishment conducted their business. I ordered a bucket of spaghettI, meatballs, 2 loaves of bread and a half order of Alfred. A 40.00 meal. When I receive my bucket the noodles were freezing cold. I immediately went back inside to question why my food was cold. And the answer I got was "if you mix the cold noodles with the sauce it should warm them up." they didn't offer to exchange the noodles or give me something that was more fresh. I'm very disappointed with the service. read more

I have not been to the restaurant for quiet some time and I won't be going back. The bread was good however it has been cut down to half the size for the same price. The meat sauce on the spaghetti was so watered down it literally drifted in a little stream across my plate and had very little taste to it. This could be a great sub shop if they could get the execution right. They put raw onions on a philly cheese steak. The onions ruined the sandwhich. They should be grilled on a flat top and translucent. Not sprinkled raw on the top. Their bread is also far from an Italian style loaf. It had the consistency, color and flavor of a challah loaf. It was stale enough to fall into pieces when we tried to eat it. The mushrooms were the over salty rubbery out of a can variety. All that being said the beef and cheese were very good. Fix the other problems and this would be five star sub. the service was quick and friendly. read more

I got a veggie pizza bread it was 3.99. It was good but nothing really special about it, that's what would you expect from a cheap place like this. The place is small, it wasn't crowded when we went there. If you're a health freak, get away from this place. If you're looking for cheap delicious Italian food, this is the place for you. read more

This place serves large quantities of food for a decently affordable price. They have a deal where you can get a literal bucket of spaghetti that will serve a family of four. The pasta is kind of bland but their garlic bread was good. The building is clean, but pretty bare. read more

We stopped going about a year ago because they changed several of their recipes and now the sauces are watery and bland and the garlic bread is plain. Those were the two things they had going for them. I hope they bring them back. Every time I drive by no one is there. I'd hate to see this place go out of business after all these years. Please bring back the old recipes and then advertise that you've done so and we will gladly come support your business again read more
