These, almost 200 year old buildings have so much charm. They take up the whole block. You can tour the bootlegging tunnel beneath the main building. Our bartender, Mitchell (who seemed like he really loved his job), was super friendly, attentive and gave us info on the bar's beginnings as a brewery. We started with the fried mushrooms and house made horseradish sauce... Delicious. Ordered the ribeye and it was cooked as ordered and seasoned perfectly. The baked potato and veg were tasty, but just barely warm. Great beer selection, only one brand of wine, and a full bar.

Cool little Irish pub... Dropped in while traveling for work; recommended by a friend. Pretty chill pub... Cool vibes, great food, and good service. Mogger's has a really nice outdoor beer garden, so I'm guessing it's the place to go on the weekend in TH. A bit on the pricey side ($35 for lunch)... I'll stop back again though if rolling back through town.

Stopped in at M Mogger's and went with the plain tenderloin and fried mushrooms. The tenderloin was thick and juicy which is normally the opposite of how I like them, however, it was exceptionally tasty. The mushrooms were crispy while also being juicy. Wonderful tasting meal. Will continue coming back for this combination

Moggers was chosen by our GodSons Moms as the place for a few (6) of us to celebrate his birthday. Lets start with good. We were sat at a round table in the corner. We had lots of room and no one was sat right beside us. Our servers were very peronable and did an excellent job. They had a limited menu today because of local area graduations. Ours orders included spinach and artichoke dip, spicy cheese curds, tenderloin and frys, chicken fingers and frys and pizza. The spinach and artichoke dip was really good and chunky. The spicy cheese curds were SPICY! I like spicy but they were too much for me. So be warned. Pizza was good not great. I liked the thin cracker crust. Toppings were a good amount. Could have used a slightly longer bake. Tenderloin was delicious as well as the frys. The not so good. No staff I saw were wearing masks. Most of the customers walking in didn't have on masks. I found the bathroom to be a bit gross. Just install nice white porcelain why beer kegs. I know a lot of people just went on and on about the building in their review but, to me, it's just old and although may be clean the age of the building came across as dirty. If this were a place closer to home I don't think it would be a place we would frequent.

Mogger's is an incredibly unique spot to eat a tasty meal or enjoy a cold drink in Terre Haute, Indiana. I ordered the Cheese Curds appetizer for the table to start. These spicy, lightly breaded Wisconsin cheese curds are served with marinara sauce. For my main dish I ordered the Mega Cheese Burger. HOLY COW! There is a lot of cheese on this burger. The Mega Cheese Burger is topped with bacon, spicy fried cheese curds, cheddar cheese, and fondito queso. Step inside this unique old building and check out the fabulous decor and antiques.

Service was great. Hostess was the best! Food was good. History of the building was great. Wasn't all that great as a whole.

Food wasn't as good as I imagined. Paid as much as I would have for steaks at Texas Roadhouse. Kinda stuck up waiter.

It's dated in the best possible way: dim lighting, worn-in character, familiar faces, and that unmistakable local hangout atmosphere where regulars clearly outnumber first-timers. The highlight here is the Tweety Burger, and honestly, that's the reason to come. It reminded me immediately of the classic Midwest style you'd find at places like Minor-Dunn in Highland, Indiana. The patty is smashed thin and cooked flat on the grill, giving it those crispy edges and deep, savory flavor you only get from a well-seasoned griddle that's seen years of use. It tastes homemade--not engineered, not trendy, just a straightforward burger done right. You can tell they take their time with the food. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. The burger comes out hot, flavorful, and satisfying without trying to be gourmet or overcomplicated. No towering Instagram presentation--just a solid, honest burger that delivers exactly what you want from a local pub. Service matched the vibe perfectly. The staff were personable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly in that small-town way that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest stopping by a neighborhood spot. Charlie's isn't flashy. It's not modern. And if you're looking for upscale dining or trendy décor, this isn't the place. But if you want an authentic mom-and-pop tavern experience with a burger that locals clearly treat as a tradition, it's worth the stop. Best advice: stick with the Tweety Burger. Don't overthink the menu. Order it, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience a piece of local Terre Haute character. Not a destination restaurant--but absolutely a solid local classic you should try at least once.

Not only are dogs allowed to dine inside, but they offer water bowls AND a good doggie dining menu! This is especially great when the weather is cold (or too warm!) There were no complaints from my pup as she downed her 'Lucky' meal. Our waiter, John, mentioned that all of the doggie dining menu options were actually named after the owners current dogs! Cute touch! Service was warm and attentive (thanks John!) and they were incredibly accommodating on our food substitutions since I don't eat meat. I was also excited to see that they had a good sized menu with a variety of options-- sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, hot dogs, and desserts. I wouldn't say it's a full 'dinner' restaurant, but great tasting, fresh, AND flavorful meatless options which are great for vegans/vegetarians. They had dedicated parking, patio area, an upstairs (I'm sure is amazing in the summer!) and clean restrooms. I even noticed signage in the women's restroom that encouraged safety for 'Angel shots' in case anyone felt unsafe and needed to communicate safely with the bartender for a ride home or the police! They also have live events, music, and great drink specials. It's right on Indiana State University campus so it could be missed, but don't overlook this gem! -- 5/5 from this Pup Mom
