Growing up eating Tommy's all over LA and Orange County, CA my whole life I know the Tommy burger, chili fries and the chili dog taste. Just moved here and Tommy's in Henderson is nothing like the Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburger. The chili is subpar, nothing like the REAL chili. I will continue to get my Tommy's fix in California. read more

So I grew up in Southern California ( hacienda heights). I used to drive into downtown Los Angeles for a tommy burger at the original location on Beverly and Rampart. The burgers are amazing and so much chili on the burgers was so much, what a great burger. So when I moved to Las Vegas how happy I was to learn that there were Tommy's here. I visit the location on St. Rose in Henderson. In the past the amount of chili that was put on the burger reminded me of the one downtown Los Angeles. Well on my last two visits to the Henderson location there was hardly any chili on the burger so much so that you didn't even need a napkin. What a disappointment. So last night I had the same burger with hardly any chili. I spoke with the manager on duty today and she told me that I needed to ask for extra chili. In the past that was never necessary. I told her that I had asked for extra chili and still wasn't like the past. So after the disappointing response I called corporate. The lady I spoke with was friendly and attentive and told me she would contact the regional manager and they would contact me in ten days. So before I completely decide never to eat there again I'm going to wait to see if the regional manager takes care of the lack of chili on the burgers. As for now I'm completely disappointed and saddened that I may never have another Tommy burger. read more

Not sure what's going on at this location, but the last two times i've gone the food has been absolutely DISGUSTING. I will not be returning any time soon, which is a shame because Tommy's has been a long time favorite place to stop and get a reliable burger and chili cheese fries. Not anymore. The employees don't give a damn about what they're serving and it shows. I refuse to spend the money on slop, especially since the prices just keep going up. Managers/owners should be concerned about who they're hiring to prepare food at this establishment, because they'll lose a loyal customer base if this sort of thing continues. Bun wasn't toasted so it felt like I was biting into a cold sponge, chili has definitely changed, patties in the burgers are paper thin, soda is flat, they skimp on the fries, and everything is thrown together without a single care in the world. read more

I've been to this location about four times in the past two weeks. and I'm just now finding time to make a review. The logic behind my three star review is the fact that this particular location is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a four-star experience & sometimes you get a two star experience. Hence the three stars. If you ever ordered or seen their chili cheese fries you know that they are not aesthetically pleasing /photogenic. With them being served in a box light container with a lid filled with fries, a slice of cheese and a large scoop of chili plopped on top. But what they lack in appearance they make up in flavor.... Usually. I don't care for the burgers. So when I order it's just the chili cheese fries with extra cheese. Because the standard amount of cheese is never enough. Taste wise I would love to see this location become more consistent. Then they'll surely be on their way to a five star review. read more

I will try a Tommy's in California because I've heard it's good but you're straight up lying if you say you enjoy the chili at the one here in Vegas. The chili looks like dog poop. Literally. I'm not even being funny. Looks aside, it has the texture of a can of Hormel chili. It basically has no flavor. It's pretty much what I imagine prisoners eat. It's just mush and pasty. First of all I am from LA and the best Tommy's is the original Tommy's on Rampart in LA so if I'm going to another Tommys, I kind of expect the same so I ordered my meal which was a double cheeseburger fries well done and a root beer the french fries were not well done the chili cheeseburger I ordered didn't even have enough chili on it. This is probably the worst fast food place I have been to. I came in prior to 7pm. The place was empty. There was one couple inside the restaurant. Drive through line was not crowded either. I stood in front of the counter for at least 5 minutes and not one employee greeted me even when they saw me as they were preparing food. I would have understood if they told me there would be a wait. The employee then proceeded to wipe the counter with a wet rag she got from a pail of water then put on gloves and started preparing food again without washing her hands. I ended up walking out at that point. I will not come here again. I will get my Tommy's fix in LA or Barstow. read more

I went through the drive-through and ordered chili cheese fries with a chili cheese on the side. When I got to my destinations we noticed that it was still incorrect after they attempted to correct it through the drive-through. I contacted the restaurant as soon as we noticed a discrepancy and was told to return on the weekend for a corrected item. However when I got there today manager refused to do anything to correct the situation. Talk about poor customer service. I've been coming to Tommy since I was a little kid in Los Angeles. So me and my lads were heading to Canes on New Year's Eve, sad to see that it was closed. Right next to it was Original Tommy's. I ordered a number 2 plain cheeseburger and I was sad to see that I spent $8.00+ on a anorexic patty and some freezer French fries. What I will give them was the size of the drink, it was ginormous, probably to make up for the fact that there was no patty. The chili was just there, didn't really add to anything, got grosser the farther you ate it. One of my lads ordered a breakfast burrito and the egg looked horrid, extremely shameful for a business that's been opened for 6 years. I know this place is supposed to be all about the burgers. But for me, it's all about the hot dogs here. The chili cheese hot dog, of course. Sure, the chili isn't all that great. But it's above average. And when you put it on a hot dog, it gets 4 stars. And there's no skimping on the chili and other toppings here. Don't even dream of picking up this hot dog and eating it. You have to knife and fork it. The chili is lathered all over it. It is awesome. And when asked if you want everything on it, say yes. Don't question what other toppings they could possibly be referring to, just go with it. It all totally works and tastes awesome. If I could give it negative stars I would. I came into Tommy's today at noon for lunch. As I came in the door the man behind the counter (white, heavy set, mid 40's) told me that the dinning room was closed only drive thru, even though there were 4 people sitting in the dinning room. As I walked out to get into my car to drive around the drive thru an old man was walking in. When I pulled up to the window, I noticed more people were inside dinning even though I was made to go eat elsewhere. I remember when this place finally opened here in Nevada. I no longer had to wait to go to California to get a Tommy's hamburger and was super excited. So chili is what they are known for, its a very specific taste if you compare it to other chili burgers. Their taste is unique and that is why the secret is so guarded. This time I ordered via drive through, it was a very busy time. Only two guys were working but service was prompt and friendly. I do like that they use gloves while preparing food. Super clean location to the point of almost sterile. Not much traffic to this location. Good if you like a nice quiet meal. The flavor is there and the taste is there. But you don't get to enjoy the vibe like eating it standing up in dirty LA smog filled environment to really put this burger in perspective like you would at the original location. That's what made this burger the best of what it is at 2am ;) I get the Original Tommys burger with chili, cheese and onions. Also chili cheese fries. This is what's great here. My boyfriend and I got double cheeseburgers and chili fries Today. By the time we got home the chili looked molded together and weird. The first bite tasted off and just a sour after taste. My boyfriend convinced me that part is probably normal since it's a slight off taste. He just wanted to eat in peace I'm sure lol. After moving here from LA, I was craving Tommy's so I drove to this location. The staff was friendly, the place itself is clean with plenty of parking. The chili is pretty good, but I think the ones in LA are slightly better. Fries are delicious. Waited a little long for the food, but it wasn't bad. Place does get crowded on weekdays for lunch. Should have known when we pulled in to the parking lot, there were only 2 cars in front while the Canes and other restaurants were packed. Waited 10 minutes to order because it appeared that only 2 people were working. Placed our order and waited 15 minutes for it to be done. Went to the counter to pick it up and saw that they put chili on my grand daughters hot dog. When I told the manager chick that appeared out of the back to help the others that we didn't order it with chili. After she huffed at me and threw it away she copped an attitude with the cooks. We went to Tommy's for the second time ever tonight and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Our first time going we were satisfied with everything and were convinced that the food was good but this time proved us wrong. My wife ordered a double chili cheese burger and received no chili, I ordered the chili cheese dog combo with chili cheese fries and discovered that I received probably the worst hotdog that I've ever had and to top it off the chili on the hotdog as well as the fries looked old and like it had been sitting for who knows how long and the food was not even warm despite our 20 something minute wait. I usually go to Tommy's about once a week to get food for my boss. And i occasionally partake in the feasting of burgers or dogs. I mean can you really go wrong with chili standard on EVERYTHING! One thing I can't recommend however is the "Tamale boat" my toilet paid dearly for it couple of hours later. The whole day with Muddbutt didn't help either. So glad we don't have to drive to Barstow to enjoy Tommy's anymore! We love having a Tommy's here and the new "Caliente Burger" is delicious! The only thing is the location is hidden behind St Rose Hospital so I don't know how many people know it is even there. They do give the employees at St Rose Hospital a discount. I can easily eat just an order of "Chili Cheese Fries" for a meal but if you have a bigger appetite you can order the "Mega Combo" priced around $10. They serve Cherry Coke!
