I order from Capriotti's once a week. They messed up my order and I received the wrong sandwiches on my last order. I called and let them know and they said I can provide my name for a free sandwich next order. I order a week later and the employee cussed me out and told me I'm trying to get a free sandwich. I truly enjoy Capriotti's! I am from the East Coast and this shop reminds me of D'Angelos (if you are from the East then this will ring a bell). The sandwiches are always delicious. It's the bread that always keep me coming back (true "hoagie" rolls). The tuna is my absolute favorite. It's always freshly made and you can tell that they use a high quality of tuna. My Bobbie was burnt!!! I bought a toasted and have never had it made like this. Usually the cranberry sauce is added afterwards. It was hard and crystallized. Nasty. Had a terrible experience at this Capriotti's. Ordered online and added special instructions to have no mayo on one of my subs. I also ordered another sub that was hot. So I go home and find mayo all over the sub, which had no mayo right on the receipt. So I had to go back and have them both remade since my hot sub was super cold. Then I heard one of the employees telling his co-workers to make sure they repeat the orders back to make sure they're correct. He seemed like he didn't believe me and looked up the receipt to make sure it said no mayo, and seemed surprised that it did. Then was like oh it looks like the medium one had no mayo.. I then said they are both medium. Also he said we can remake them but ONLY if I return the others. Could have let me keep them for the trouble, since they are just going to be thrown on the trash. Just sounds like they don't know what's going on. One modification isn't that complicated.. I worked in a similar type of restaurant and made sandwiches for 10 years, so I understand. And if we messed up and wasted people's gas and time.. I would always let them keep the mistake items if they wanted. Also I ended up waiting for them to remake them for like 15 minutes, while watching 3 customers leave with their subs before me. Plus both times they put a hot sub in the same bag as a cold.. made the other sandwich all warm when we wanted it COLD. Ruined my dinner. Never coming here again. Definitely smaller portions than what they used to be. at one point in my life I would have highly recommended Capriotti's. However by my last visit to this location and prior disappointments I don't even want to go in for the free sandwiches that were offered. They need a change of staff and people who actually put meat on their sandwiches. The sudden growth of this chain has drastically changed the service ambiance and food quality. I much rather pay more for my food and get better service and the old style sandwiches instead of covering up the cost by charging for double meat! That's an embarrassment! This is my last sandwich. We had family come into town and they were amazed at the quality, size or the sandwich and they can't wait to eat it again. Found out there was a 46th Anniversary deal going on for a BOGO Bobbie sandwich so I placed an online order for one cold and one hot sandwich, cranberry sauce on the side. Advised it would be 18 minutes to pickup time and I arrived 5 minutes early to find my order sitting on the pickup shelf so I am out the door! Arrive home 5 minutes later and the "hot" sandwich isn't any warmer than the cold sandwich and the "turkey" sandwich was more of a "stuffing" sandwich as the only signs of the fresh in store turkey were the few shreds as seen in the photo. Amazing how this sandwich is regularly priced at $10 when it wasn't even worth the half off discount to $5 (unless you prefer a stuffing sandwich with a garnish of turkey).
