I have been wanting to come here for years. As a local, I drive by often when I pass into Boulder City. My husband and I were early for an appointment so I said please can we get a hot dog!? As we pulled up just before 11, Denise the owner was still setting up. We asked if it was a drive thru or if we park and walk up - she said we could do whatever gets us to the window. While she was setting up and taking our order she chatted with us and gave us some history. She told us she also baked cakes and brownies. We ordered 2 Chicago dogs and a frozen lemonade- which she said is from Rhode Island. Our hot dogs came with our name wrote ontop with mustard. Denise thanked us for stopping by and said as her first customer of the day, she gave us a free mini cake and brownie. What a fantastic little hotdog stand in Boulder City! Denise has a simple, affordable, and delicious menu. The hotdogs are of high quality and she uses buns from a local bakery, just adding to the great taste. She typically has small home-baked cakes available, but when we went she had brownies instead that were so dang good. I LOVED the fun little surprise of having mine & my husband's names written on our hotdogs with ketchup & mustard. Such a cute experience. This is mainly a drive-thru type restaurant, but there are 3 tables outside if you want to eat on site. Note that even if you are walking up, you order from the same window that cars order from. We passed by Mom's little hot dog stand and on a whim we decided to try it. It was one of the BEST decisions we've ever made. It didn't look like much, but, the little hut itself is pristine, clean and inviting. Denise greeted us with a huge smile and is so sweet and kind. Finally made it to Mom's and we were not disappointed!! Denise was awesome! Loved talking with her! We tried the chili cheese dog, a Chicago dog, a plain dog with ketchup only and lastly a dog with sauerkraut, mustard and onions. Denise even wrote our names on the dogs! My daughter loved that little extra touch. And the lemonade! Love love LOVE! When it gets warmer and we go walk the railroad trail, I'll bring my large water bottle and fill it with the lemonade!
