Thank you for your attention to detail and level of care - we are overjoyed with the results! EXPERIENCE - We interviewed a few photography companies to compare prices, offerings, and aesthetic appeal; we ultimately decided on OW because they offered the best rates for videography and photography packages. From the beginning, the customer experience was favorable with multiple opportunities for touchpoints and planning. Their pricing is transparent and straight-forward; the add-ons will be tempting, and it will cost you. However, we appreciated that our interactions with the office staff weren't sales driven; they shared the options for add-ons without it being pushy. All communication and planning details are handled through a personalized portal and its the easiest way to ask questions and relay changes to the photography team. If you are someone that is not particularly organized, you'll love this feature and the imbedded questionnaires. They'll serve as a guide to crafting the look, identifying highlights to be captured, and a space for notes to the team working with you on the day of. During the wedding day, everything went smoothly and everyone was professional and personable. Their presence didn't feel intrusive and they expertly worked around our timeline to maximize efficiency. RESULTS - Our gallery was a fantastic mix of curated moments and candid memories. Each cluster of photos creates a timestamp throughout the day and it was a welcome reminder of all the small details of the wedding that can be easily missed among the shuffle of it all. In our package we stuck with 8 hours of photography and videography; electing afterwards to request the raw footage for an additional charge. I believe the quality of the photos and videos is phenomenal for the price - something similar may be double the price, especially if you're looking for more aesthetic/Instagramish vibe - we went traditional and it exceeded our expectations. SHOUTOUTS - I have to give special kudos to the team that worked directly with us. For planning and logistics, Sarah and Gabriella were attentive and quick to respond to questions. Sarah was very sweet and made our wedding feel like a priority and not just one of many they're juggling. I appreciate her collaboration on capturing the specifics to ensure even the smallest details were relayed to the team; and the results speak for themselves. The true heroes of the day were Pricilla, Sanaa, and Collin; they were the team tasked with documenting the magic of the day in a fashion that captured our essence as a couple. They quickly became a highlight of the experience - we hit it off immediately and their energy was uplifting and reassuring. We are eternally grateful for their patience with our families and the lighthearted approach they took to dealing with grumpier relatives. After a lot of research, we chose Sound Originals for both photography & videography of our wedding in February 2024. They have a competitive combo package for both. We picked the 7 hour package, added an hour to the service, so that it would cover the whole wedding, and added the full-length edited video. Our wedding was in Fallbrook, CA, so I was happy to find a company that was based around the area. We had a pre-wedding planning session with Sarah. She helped coordinate & take notes of all the ideas we wanted for the wedding. She was a pleasure to talk to, and very detailed. Day of the wedding we met Samantha, our photographer, and Alec, our videographer. They arrived on time and were extremely pleasant from the very start. They came with notes from our planning session, and started work immediately. They had a great eye with using our venue & setting to capture some really beautiful memories and kept in mind our notes when making shots. We opted for a first look, and we are so happy with this decision. It really takes the pressure off the first meet and it made the moment intimate & more private. Since weather & area permitted, Alec came through with the drone shots & was excellent with keeping up on all the motion captures. Throughout the day, I feel like Sam and Alec were really great at being in the moment with us, showing their presence for suggestions on a shot, but also allowing us to feel like all the moments were private and not at all intrusive. This is can be hard to accomplish when you have a team with cameras on you. We chose the classic, light & airy edit, and are super happy with how the photos came out, not to mention, their turn around time was fast & it was so nice to view the gallery with all the photos available for download so that we could back them up on our end. Overall, we had thorough and beautiful coverage from beginning to grand exit, and I'm so glad we chose this company. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering photo & video coverage. We rarely find the time to leave reviews but feel that we have to share what a wonderful experience we had with Original Weddings' services! We booked the Ruby package (2 photographers & 1 videographer) for 11 hours (very big day with multiple events) in Atlanta. Shout out to our lead photographer Abby, who was PHENOMENAL! Some criteria that we used to narrow down our final choice to capture our special day and how Original Weddings exceeded our expectations: Communication: Very prompt responses from the planning team via the Client Portal, which was easy to navigate. It was so great to have all the messages, questionnaires, and details all in a centralized location given how chaotic wedding planning can get! Professionalism: We cannot rave enough about our photo & video team! They were so fun and hyped us up throughout the day. Our lead photographer Abby was incredibly detail-oriented and provided cheery guidance to make our vision come true! We could tell that the team was on the same page and had spent time looking through our wedding Pinterest board beforehand. Amazing team work! Quality: We just got our photo gallery, and we are completely blown away by how beautifully the love and pure joy were captured. It's been about 3 weeks since our wedding, which is SUCH a fast turnaround time especially for 11 HOURS of footage. We could not have asked for a better photography & videography experience. Even though there were 2 photographers, the style and editing were standardized so that all photos blended seamlessly. We didn't have to worry about any potential differences in photography styles! We could not be happier with our experience with Original Weddings. Photography was one of our top priorities, and choosing their highest photography package was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. It was important to us to capture all the memories of the day, which is why we wanted full-day coverage and a second shooter. We are so glad we did. Nothing was missed. From different angles during the ceremony to candid guest reactions we did not get to see in the moment, every detail was captured, both big and small. The engagement shoot, which was included in our package, made such a difference. It helped us learn how to pose, allowed our photographer to get to know our personalities, and gave us the chance to be creative together. By the time the wedding day arrived, nothing felt awkward or forced. We felt completely comfortable and had a lot of fun. We also chose to receive our photos in all three editing styles they offer, along with black and white images, which gave us so much variety and made the gallery feel incredibly thoughtful and complete. Even more impressive, we received our full gallery back in just four weeks. Getting our photos back so quickly made the experience even more meaningful. It allowed us to share them with my husband's grandmother before she passed away, which is something we will always be grateful for. We have friends who were married a month before us and are still waiting on their photos, so this level of care and turnaround truly stood out. We love our wedding videos!! We chose the package with the full ceremony and toasts included, and we are so happy we did. Now we have this beautiful memory together with the people we love, and we know that these videos will become even more precious with time. Jason was our videographer for the day, and he was excellent to work with! We got married near Mt Rainier, which is a bit of a drive from the Seattle area. The venue is outdoors and spread out through the woods, so I reckon it's more physically challenging for a videographer than an indoor venue might be. It was also an extremely hot day!! Jason was unfazed by any of this--he was warm, professional, and flexible, and we felt very at ease with him. We asked day-of if we might be able to add an extra hour, and he was not only up for it but enthusiastic. He & the Sound Originals team created a beautiful highlight reel that captured the spirit and vibe of the weekend. And more than this, we're also able to revisit our whole ceremony and time spent together with our family and friends. The Sound Originals team was super accommodating, flexible, and chill the whole way through. Their approach seems to be something like, "We're here to make things easier for you. We'll take it from here, seriously don't even worry," and we didn't. We asked if they could include the music our friend played at the ceremony and the band played, and they did (!), which is so special to have. Finally, I somehow missed *all* of their emails after the wedding letting us know the videos were ready, but they kept following up to make sure that we were happy with them, which we ARE!! Sound Originals and Dan far exceeded our expectations as the photographer at our daughter's wedding. We felt like we were looking at magazine prints when we saw the photos, they were so perfect. Dan knew exactly where to be to get the best picture. On our fifth viewing of the ceremony recording, we actually watched just him in the background. He was a master at work, stopping occasionally to survey the scene in order to maximize the shot, taking so many photos in such rapid succession. At one point, he turned his camera to our special needs daughter, about 10 feet away, who was watching in her chair under a shade tree, too anxious to be closer to the ceremony taking place. When the photos came in, there was a wonderful picture of her relaxing and seeing her older sister get married, plus pictures of her responding to a fist bump from the groom and an intimate moment with her sister. We will forever be grateful for these precious photos. We look at the pictures and think, "How in the world did he get that shot?? " Due to covid-19, the venue had been changed from Lairmont Manor in Bellingham to a small backyard next to a lake. It was a non-traditional, thinking-totally-outside-of-the-box kind of a wedding. When the bride and groom changed into bathing suits and planned to jump into the lake to celebrate and cool off, he got into a neighbor's boat (with mask and sunhat) and took INCREDIBLE photos of them mid air, faces ecstatic, jumping off the dock, and then landing in the water, every frame captured. I highly recommend Sound Originals for wedding photography based on the communication, organization, value, and most importantly, the final product. Gabriella was always very responsive and clear in the messages sent via the online portal when we had questions. I was a bit hesitant to book this vendor because I didn't know anyone who'd used the company before, but I'm glad I did. We were lucky to get paired with Jared as our photographer and immediately felt comfortable with him on our virtual planning call. On the day of our wedding he was prompt and had plenty of ideas ready to go, but he was also very open to any ideas we had. He never made us feel rushed at all as you could tell he wanted to take his time to get the shots right. He was patient when necessary, efficient when necessary and always reminded us to let him know if any poses didn't feel comfortable or natural. We didn't have a second shooter but you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at our photos as Jared managed to get great variety in the angles during the ceremony and reception. The photos are beautiful and we are looking forward to framing a few. We got the sneak peak within 2 weeks and the full photo gallery not too long after that. The only critique I have is that the florist we used was incorrectly tagged on the sneak peak instagram post, and wasn't corrected even though I reached out via direct message and comment. The flowers were beautiful & the correct florist deserved the credit. Overall, I would definitely work with Sound Originals and Jared in particular again in the future. read more

We are beyond thrilled with Original Weddings!! Communication was always prompt and thorough; they answered all our questions and Sarah was super helpful in the planning meeting. They clearly have this process down pat; they had us fill out a few forms that saved us in terms of staying organized and on-time on the day. Our team the day-of was absolutely fabulous. Kamil, our lead photographer (who we were also lucky enough to work with for our engagement photoshoot), is amazing. He has the eye and the technique to get gorgeous shots and, on top of that, he is absolutely hilarious!! He made sure we were relaxed and laughing the whole time, which made for an amazing experience and beautiful photos, too. He is great with giving specific directions, so you'll never get that awkward feeling like you don't know what to do with your hands. He gave such good directions and was so wonderful at creating a light, fun atmosphere that he put even my super camera-shy husband at ease. His assistant, Michael, and our videographer, Dan, were absolutely fantastic, as well. Having Kamil and Michael tag-team made everything flow so smoothly and efficiently. I'm so glad we went with Sound Originals for our wedding photos! Both photographers and videographer were awesome. Booking was easy and I love their online portal - they asked all the right questions and made sure everyone was on the same page with the vision for the day. We were able to have a planning call to "meet" our lead photographer, Carly, before the wedding day. I really appreciated that so we could go over some details and feel a little bit more comfortable going into the big day (husband and I are not huge picture people). Carly and team were right on time and I can't say enough good things about how comfortable they made us feel and how hard they worked to make sure we got every shot that we wanted. It rained on our wedding day so there were some pictures I was disappointed about not getting, but Carly got out her phone and was tracking the weather so we could take advantage of every single break in the rain - even if it was only a couple minutes! We ended up getting every picture that I wanted and I'm so grateful! We got our picture gallery back ahead of what was stated in the contract and it's everything we hoped for. Dan was our photographer and videographer for our 8/04/19 wedding. When I first searched him up after stumbling upon him on Google, my husband and I were blown away by his amazing photos. We could tell he knew how to capture the magic in every shot he took. He also has such a great sense of humor and made us feel so comfortable. During our engagement photo shoot, he made us laugh so much making the whole process so easy. We loved that he is so chill yet so professional. Not once did we feel pressured or rushed. The wedding photos came out unbelievably well (and quicker than we expected!). We could tell that Dan spent a great amount of time editing. We were so impressed with how many beautiful moments he was able to get! The video was also amazing! Everything that we wanted to remember was in it. My husband and I had a wonderful time working with Sound Originals for our wedding photos/video. We purchased a package that included 2 photographers, 2 videographers, and access to all the digital photos after the event, which was a great deal compared to other photography services that we were comparing. We were given the opportunity to complete online surveys and to speak with our lead photographer in advance of the wedding, which was all very helpful in visualizing the day. She took the time to ask us questions to make sure she understood exactly what we were looking for from the photography team. On the day of the wedding, things were a bit chaotic with all of the logistics and moving parts (as things tend to be), but the photography team were experts at navigating the scene. They fit right into the present moment -- while we were getting ready, during the ceremony at the church, and later at the reception -- doing their job well without in any way hampering the moments. The team members were all very polite, easy to work with, and directive. I was impressed with the quality and turnaround time of the photos (just about three weeks!), and I'm excited to see the videos soon. Just got married in Seattle at a chapel in Seattle with reception at the Chateau Lil. Sound originals was the perfect choice to capture the day! The pricing for what you get was the best I found. We did only photography, no video. I also liked that they have multiple photographers on call in case the one you were assigned has an emergency and can't make it. Communication was great leading up to the day, and they answered all my questions in a timely and helpful manner. They have you provide a "shot list" of specific photos you want to make sure all your groups shots are completed. I also liked that you could select your editing style. On the day of, our photographer was perfect. They brought two photographers who were on time, and very professional throughout the day. My partner and I have never done a photoshoot, but our photographer made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She captured all our moments without being in the way or in our faces. For the posed shots, she positioned us for all the photos and also listened to what we were comfortable with. We were also unsure how many hours we were going to need, and they checked in throughout the night to see if they should stay or head out. I just got the photos for the day and couldn't be happier! We met the Sound Originals team at the Seattle Wedding Expo. From the first meeting at the expo, they seemed to be very organized and very knowledgeable. I could immediately tell that this was not their first rodeo (unlike some other vendors). Communication - I had some initial questions before pulling the trigger on a videographer. The team at Sound originals got back to me same day and fully answered my questions. The contract was sent via email and was very easy to understand. About a week before the wedding I forwarded the timeline of the wedding day. Sound originals got back to me very quickly with he name and contact information for the videographer. Day of - on the day of the wedding the videographer showed up on time, introduced himself to myself, my wife, and our day of coordinator. After the introductions, I did not notice the videographer for the rest of the day until he told me he shook my hand and told me he was leaving. He did a great job of hiding himself thought the ceremony and reception. Product - Better than what I could have asked for. Not only was the quality phenomenal, the video got back to us very quickly. This was such an important vendor for us to choose and a bit nerve wracking to ensure we chose correctly. This was confirmed immediately upon our initial communication with the team. They were SO extensively helpful, excellent communication on expectations, frequent (but not too much) on reminders etc. We were lucky enough to have our engagement photographer (Jeff) be one of the 1 photographers assigned to our wedding so we had an established report with him and really put us at ease that much more. We elected for a package with 2 photographers and 2 videographers. We received all photos and our highlights video back within a few weeks of the wedding which was SUCH a nice surprise! The personalities and engagement of everyone on the day of the wedding that we worked with were really spectacular. They were patient when needed, assertive to gather the crowds, open to our requests and flexible to us giving them complete 'dealers choice' on what they wanted to shoot. I am very, very happy with our decision in choosing Original Wedding photo and video for my wedding. We got married at Calamigos ranch in Malibu. They were there from 2 PM to 10 PM. We got to do all of my bridal shots, my close and detailed shots of my ring and my dress, bridesmaid shots, groomsmen shots, and so much more. My husband and I had a lot of traditions we wanted to be emphasized, and I can't begin to describe how amazing the photos turned out. We had a military sword arch, private vows, and Jewish traditions, and they were all captured beautifully.I asked the photographer if they could take subtle photos of us reading our vows together because we wanted to do it in private, but I wanted to still capture the moment, and they were able to give us our privacy while we read our vows. At the end of the readings, we thought they had left because they were so quiet! However, they were hiding behind a plant and the photos turned out so raw, emotional, and beautiful. It was exactly our vision. Not only was their whole team very easy to talk to, but also they were very nice and very attentive.
