The owner of the company has an attitude and looked the other way. He took advantage of my elderly parents and was also way overpriced. Since we did not, only still images, he told us he would do nothing about it. We requested a copy of his insurance which he refused to provide. One of the driveway slabs of concrete near the fence had a buried tree stump that prevented them from completing the job. Totally understandable. Kevin told me if I get rid of the tree stump he'll come and finish the job and give me a good deal when I'm ready. Again totally understandable. I foolishly paid him the total balance for the entire job even though they didn't do everything that was promised with the expectation they'd come back and finish the job they were paid for. Big mistake. I've been contacting Kevin for now over a year and half trying to get him to do the right thing and finish the work. He has upselled me on a new cost to get the remaining job done after I have already paid him. I reluctantly agreed because of the position I'm in and he still hasn't honored his commitment to completing the job despite me agreeing to pay him twice for the same job. He called me on the phone in November and gave me his word he would make it right. Still nothing. Just a repetitive cycle of ghosting and poor communication. The driveway is chipping already and flaking to the point I will have to pay for repairs on top of trying to get the job done. This job was done in July 2024. Very frustrating and downright insulting that this company doesn't honor their commitments and disappears on you. I paid 12k for the entire project and it is devastating when a contract company can't deliver on the work they promised but have no problem taking all your money from you. To these companies 12k may not seem a lot but to the everyday person like me who works a normal job this is a huge amount of money to spend that is taking me years off to pay, all with the job undone. All you ever ask is for people to do the right thing and this company hasn't. If I were a new customer I would have them sign a binding document that holds them to the entire scope of the project otherwise they might disappear on you like they did with me. Review # 529…read more Tuesday, 12/30/2025 My review is based on a referral from a reliable Roofing Company I've known since 2005, to have Resurrection Brick Business view, estimate and to replace old worn layers of bricks on 2 chimneys near tops on My 35 year old colonial home. This year in April was a damaging wind and hail storm that ripped off, the backyard upper roof and family room area of shingles. Finally in August the roofers completed the 10 hour job and we kind enough to point out in camera photos of the two cracked brick areas on 2 chimneys. After 3 days I called Resurrection Brick for a Free Chimney inspection since they use a Drone camera as well with overall details. History: I have attached several photos explaining this professional brick business with help and approval from their website called "Resurrection Brick, Family Owned & Operated, Licensed & Insured." From the start with Sales Rep Matthew, he was kind and detailed with his conversation that was slow and not rushed plus explaining the process of brick replacement, employees and workmanship. He even brought over several Brick Samples to match up the next day for a 35 year old Colonial Home. The Contract was written up and in one day I was approved for their financing with U S Bank. I was relieved since the roof replacement claim and deductible wiped out my cash flow and 2 other unplanned Summer projects. :-( This company is on Google, Facebook and Now YELP with My Review! They offer discounts to Seniors, First Responders, and Military. Workmanship: Brick Replacement, Pavers Patios, Porches, Chimneys, Tuck Pointing. Buckle up. This is going to be a long one…read more If anyone needs masonry/construction done, stay far away from this company. I needed some work done on my front porch. They charged the hell out of me. Almost $7000 to replace some outer bricks, remove my old steps and place new ones, and do a little tuckpointing under my window. I thought the work seemed good but when I initially posted it on Facebook I had several people tell me the steps weren't up to code. I called Chris, the project manager to express my concerns. His response was "which people? Who are these people?" When I told him some people on social media told me they are not up to code. One of them being a former city inspector for city of Detroit. Chris told me he could look at it but that they were up to code. Not too long after that, an inspector from city of Dearborn gave me a notice that the work had multiple violations, being that the steps were not of equal heights, no permit was pulled, no four foot footing was installed, and that they were not even licensed to work in the city of Dearborn so they were getting a ticket for that. Chris stopped by my house that evening to tell me city of Dearborn called him and in order to correct the work I needed to reimburse them for the permit and would need to pay them $1000 for the four foot footing. I was a bit taken aback but soon realized I should not pay for a violation that they committed. I wanted to speak with the owner instead I got Brittanie the operations manager who told me to "calm down" and "you would just have to pay $1000 for the four foot footing." She told me they are a licensed residential builder and that they are licensed to work in the city of Dearborn. The city inspector confirmed with me the next day that they weren't licensed to work in the city of Dearborn so she lied to me about that. I decided to have a different company correct their work. I wanted it done legally and with the way they did the steps, they were a tripping hazard and I didn't want to get sued. The other company pulled the permit and corrected their work. Unfortunately when Resurrection Brick did the work we financed through the bank they use to finance which is US Bank and the finance company is Wisetack. I tried to dispute it with them but they told me there was nothing they could do. I spoke to a lawyer who told me the bank shouldn't have given them the lump sum and they should have had me sign off that I approved of the work. I asked the finance company about me signing off on the work and giving my approval. I never did that after they were done. They explained that when I applied for the loan I checked off that I approved the work they did. How can I approve something if I never saw it? I asked the bank to send me proof of that and they told me they couldn't send me any proof of that. So there are issues with the financial institution Resurrection Brick chooses to use. Resurrection Brick also never gave me a copy of a signed contract. Now, I am going to be taking this to small claims court

They're all over gp and my friend got a quote from them in the Bloomfield area so they seem to cover a lot of area. I think she said she talked to a Christopher and he sounded busy and next 2 times she called he was out of town, she ended up going elsewhere. Growing up we always had Darrel visiting and he was the most helpful guy. He really knew his stuff and went the extra mile for customers if there was a problem, always super helpful even if they couldnt get through at the office, he answered and seemed to like his job. Vern did the best christmas lights! Hope hes still around... honestly the best. A girl Jenna? Jen? Did them once when he wasnt available and they were sloppy. The secretaries never seemed to know much. The younger current guys always seem rushed and unhappy and the lawn crew has been off their game the past couple years and they always make a mess. My parents said they recently have had nice guys come by... a middle eastern/Lebanese? guy and a bearded guy who are great... not sure on their names. Not service like they used to have. Two installers finished the job in just over 3 days. Fantastic work! We will definitely be using Ultra floors to purchase and install new carpeting this fall for the upstairs in our house.
