Tom gave me a suggestion for an alternative solution and I liked his idea for the application. It was suggessed that I do a resin based application rather than tile which can come off overtime. I was intrigued with that approach as I had previously had a fiblerglass pool in Chicago area and had 2 small tiles fall off. Luckily, they where easy to reapply so it was not a big issue. With this resin application I could have any mix of colors and it was trowled on the walls leaving as very nice permanent border. Tom was even able to apply it to both sides of my hot tub and spillover area which I really wanted to dress up a bit. And the price was reasonable. It has minimal depth and didnt stick out but a fraction of what a normal 1/4" tile would. I ended up selecting a medium aqua blue varigated with white. black and a lighter aqua color. Matched beautifully with my aqua colored pool The application took Tom just 2 days to complete start to finish after draining my 35' pool/hot tub combination. He did a fantastic job on the application and cleanup too. I waited a few days to fill the pool as I was waiting for my pool light bulbs to arrive then installed them. After which I was ready to fill the pool. I can't tell you enough how beautiful of a job Tom did on the waterline. It truly is beautiful and just what it needed to spiff it up. I am very grateful for a excellent job & cleanup that Tom did in record time as he was kind enought to squesse me in earlier than expected. His Team knew exactly what needed to be done and they started work early to beat the heat. When questions came up, he would always have a direct answer quickly. The Team worked like an 16 cylinder engine, always working in synchronicity and never wasting time, always working towards completion and thinking what the next step was going to be. You certainly get what you pay for in this case a beautiful remodeled pool. Our pool was a plastered pool over 30 years old and was in desperate need of a redo. The job starts with Mike Jr. coming out to measure and answer questions and returns an estimate the next day. After our decision was made the whirl wind began, I mean that in a good way. I enjoyed the entire process from jack hammering out the old plaster to watching new pipes being rerouted to picking out tile and pebble sheen and designing our new baja shelf. There are not a whole lot of options for an older pool as far as the cap tile is concerned unless you want to rip out all the old deck and use stone which can get pricey, we decided to go with a new cap tile and selected brown with a blue/grey/brown waterline tile. We were not sure how this would turn out but I am so glad we went with the choice. Our backyard is earthy and natural and this looks soo classy, we chose a lakeside blue for the pebble sheen and Mike Sr. put some extra bling in there for me and I LOVE it! We also added a baja shelf and a couple turtles to the bottom of the pool. Mike Sr is very communicative, patient and answers all questions via text right away and even put up with my indecisiveness about the depth the baja shelf and held an Adirondack chair in the air where it could possibly go to show me a visual. He figured out the issue with my POOL! I recently had it remodeled. And Garcia Pools (owner Yoshi) crappy customer SERVICE for an owner of a pool service and at this point dishonest - never replaced my caps in my pool!! By keeping my caps, it guaranteed my pool would not work. Well, come to find out those caps hold pressure in the pool so it works properly. They wanted to charge an additional $600 to fix air leaks in my pool, but in reality, if they had just returned my end caps... The pressure in my pool would have held. David assessed each of my pop-ups. Three needed to be replaced. He was a trouble shooter. So if you have had long time issues with your pool, and specifically if you have a self cleaning pool that you are having a hard time troubleshooting I highly recommend David to come out and look at it. He's a smart guy and honest. He did the hard work to figure out my mystery. I had one pop up that wasn't working at all and so no water flow was going through it. And that's when he realized that I was missing all of my end caps on my pool which regulates my pressure. The same end caps.... YOSHI removed but never replaced. Thanks David. You did an great job. Had an estimate from another company that was very high, and then I remembered Superior and asked if they also did concrete coverings, cool-deck etc, and they DO! Their estimate was MUCH less and they did MORE. They completely removed the old cool deck and painstakingly prepared the patio surface (we had already removed the old tiles ourselves) and the new cool deck around the pool and completely covering the patio came out fantastic.
