However, our patio really needed attention, it was covered in saltillo tiles, which were cracking and aging badly. Had an estimate from another company that was very high, and then I remembered Superior and asked if they also did concrete coverings, cool-deck etc, and they DO! Their estimate was MUCH less and they did MORE. They completely removed the old cool deck and painstakingly prepared the patio surface (we had already removed the old tiles ourselves) and the new cool deck around the pool and completely covering the patio came out fantastic. We worked with Tim on our pool resurface. Tim was great as well as the staff. We were doing this from a remote location so we had to trust that the work would be completed well. Tim not only helped us narrow down the selections of surface material and tile selections but his staff sent photos of the progress along the way. The pool looks great. I vetted 8 or so pool resurfacing companies in the Phoenix area. Superior offered the best mixture of great reviews, ROC license, long tenure in the region and an incredibly competitive bid. Pool resurfacing is one of the most expensive expenses a home owner will have to budget for, so you have to consider the providers reputation when thinking about their ability to service the 10+ year warranty. The pool looks great. Of course, the Dolphin Pools superintendent will be by Monday morning to to give his expert opinion. The only reasons I deducted a star was because they were hard to communicate with, as none of the crew were fluent in English (luckily my girlfriend is fluent in Spanish) and one of the crew members was smoking in my backyard. They have done my pool now 3 times all because of poor workmanship. They also leave your property a mess. I have had to email them back and forth numerous times due to their incompetence. It's now been 2 years since the first pool plaster, and it already needs to be redone. Imagine how much value they have cost me due to jackhammering out the pool plaster each time. Last time, they clogged up the pool pipes with plaster due to not properly covering the holes for my in floor cleaning. Avoid them at all cost! Ask whoever builds your pool if they use Superior as a subcontractor as many pool builders do. Had I known what I know now, I never would have used my company. read more

Are you serious?! We called for the estimation to redo our pool. Dominiq came to do the measurements, invited us to visit the showroom to choose the material, sent a quote by email, gave a time frame for the project... We took a time off from work, went to the showroom and met Jill (we were the only ones in the showroom for 25 mins, no one else came in at the time we were in the showroom) who showed us a product. Everything went well, we picked the material for our project, and we were very happy. "Great" we thought.... We made our plans, requested the time off from work to make sure someone is home when the project will start; and... in 2 hours received the emails saying that they are dropping our contract 'due to the further consideration they will not fulfill our contract". What?! I called the customer service and spoke with Barbara who said, - "we decided to drop the contact because you visited the showroom unannounced, and Jill was very angry and upset by that". Hold on... we got invited by your rep into the showroom!!! People! Do not waste your valuable time with these ungrateful snobby schm.cks, they do not respect you, your time and money. Do not make yourself disappointed with the lack of common sense and ANY respect to the customers! You can find better companies, we did. When we bought our house, the pool was a nightmare! It had to be drained and it became immediately apparent it needed resurfaced. We got a few quotes, but Marc's professionalism and willingness to answer all of my questions really stood out. We got a few bids, and the way Marc explained the whole process to me, and the possible hidden expenses put Superior Pools above the rest. There are certain things they cannot know until they chip the pool which other companies did not take the time to explain. Superior's pricing was right in the middle of the other bids, but their product appeared superior to the others. They gave me options with both plaster and pebble tech, and provided options on the tile and pool light we needed to repair. After moving forward with their bid, they put me on the schedule, and everything happened on time. The crews that came in were timely, professional, and did a phenomenal job. Each step of the process was smooth, and the work was great. My only knock is the clean-up. Chipping a pool is very messy, which I understand, but the amount of debris left behind was significant. I'm still picking plaster up around the yard. The new surface is awesome, but there's bits of blue all around the yard as well. The clean-up is the only reason for not having five stars. Everything else was great and the pricing was fair. We are very happy with the end result, and will enjoy our pool for years to come. I will use them again if I need to resurface. read more

Highly recommend. I vetted approx. 10 companies over several months. I chose Superior for a variety of reasons. Good Registrar of Contractors review, good Yelp reviews, good Google reviews. They are licensed to install the real Pebble Tec and do the install for a number of other companies. Why pay a middle man when you can get work directly from the source? Called Tim on Monday. Came out on Tuesday, went over estimate for accuracy, signed contract and picked out tile and pebble tec finish. Chip out,removal of slide and diving board, tile, new lines, light, pebble tech, inspections, acid wash and pool fill. About 3 weeks. On time, cleaned up mess, questions answered either same day or next, written time-line, excellent communication from start to finish. Finally, they are reasonably priced. My 10 estimates ranged from $14,000 to $27,000 for exactly the same stipulations. They were near the low end. read more

I wanted to write and say how much I love the resurfacing of our pool. It is so much better than I could have imagined. On top of that, Marc's service was outstanding throughout. Absolutely a horrible company. Very poor workmanship. They finished the interior work and 4 months later my kids, including nephew (visiting from out of state) could not step in several areas of the pool to play basketball, because the ground "felt like stepping on nails.." as the kids said. Upon personal inspection, I discovered the floor of the pool to be very uneven and there are many decolored areas where pebbles coming off. I have no words to express my disappointment and displeasure with this company. read more

The reason I gave 4 stars is because this app doesn't allow for 4.5. The reason I didn't give 5 rather than 4.5 is that it would have been a nice touch if the company had hired some landscaping guys to come in behind the work crews to help clean up the yard afterward and help return it to a bit closer to what it was before work started. There were no major issue, that just would have been the cherry on top. Otherwise.... the rebuild of our pool by these guys was.... well..... Superior. I had thought we had a relatively minor job and called Dominic on a referral from someone else. He came by and assessed what needed to be done. As the inspection went forward he explained everything he was finding and had me look at each item personally. Apparently the company that we hired 13 years ago did a shoddy job and some of the work required this time was a result of that. Our job became quite pricey but I understood everything that was being done and why. SPP (Superior Pool Plastering) was committed to sticking to the timeline provided to us. When an unforeseen issue arose that required re-building the existing entry steps they worked on the weekend to keep everything on schedule. The stated completion date was 12 days from start and even with the delay caused by that issue finished 13 days from start. During the process Dominic was always available for any reason I'd need to contact him. Just a phone call got me an answer. He visited our house many times during the work to insure we were satisfied and personally kept us in the loop of anything out of the ordinary. We are completely satisfied with our pool and would highly recommend Superior Pool Plastering to anyone in need of major pool repair. Superior resurfaced our pool and cool deck. We had a divet in the "cool" decking they made while finishing our pool. I contacted them but Marc said he had a migraine and would get back to us which he never did. We couldn't get them respond after we paid them. The contract also said hand rails which we never got. Thank you for the excellent customer service and assistance in helping me to locate repair for my pool. Marelena and Jeff have been wonderful with Jeff even coming by to see if they can assist in any way. The issue is with the tile I chose and wanting to make sure whoever I hire to replace it knows what they're doing. I chose beadcrete as my surface in 2005 when it was very new. The only issue I've had was from the start having some blotchy areas that despite efforts at that time never really resolved. However, the beadcrete surface texture has held up amazingly well! Jeff said they made improvements on the color process so I can imagine what a phenomenal product it is now. No doubt I would hire Superior Pool Plastering and have beadcrete again. I highly recommend beadcrete but nothing less than 6 inch tiles (lesson learned). read more
