The apple turnover (not sure if that's what it's called in the store...husband brought it back for me) was literally the best I've had in my entire life. The pastry was fluffy, airy, and crispy and so good. We also shared the cinnamon roll which was SO good!! Wanting to try a few things, we also got the custard pastry and banana Nutella turnover and they were okay. With that said, we are going back tomorrow on the way to the airport to get some treats for our flight. Try them out! read more

I was visiting my parents in Marco and my mom informed me that she found a bakery that also made gluten free items and that people raved about them. She ordered me some buns and assorted muffins and cookies to try. Holy cow. That was the best blueberry muffin I've had in a long time. Honestly, my gluten-consuming husband even thought it tasted great. The cookies were delicious and the dinner rolls allowed me to feel like I was taking part in my family's Thanksgiving, despite not being able to consume gluten. Not good. My mom and I both got sick from eating here. Food is terrible. Wanted to try out this place for a while now, and was truly disappointed. Ordered the Cuban sandwich and the chicken that came on it was rock hard and had all the fat bits still attached. It lacked flavor and I didn't want to take any more bites. My mom ordered the BLT, and they somehow managed to mess that up as well. Didn't even have mayo... bread was soggy and cold. Coleslaw was foamy. The service was great. The staff was so warm and welcoming even with long lines of hungry customers. For how busy the place was, the food came out quickly and at the right temperature. Our family loves Ori's so much we went 4 days in a row while vacationing on Marco Island. It's great for all ages and has a large menu with so many tasty options. We particularly loved the empanadas (Mac n cheese, eggs and sausage, spinach, and street corn & jalapeño), chocolate croissant, almond croissant, Dubai muffin, cinnamon role, and pina colada loaf. We had the tiramisu, dulce de leche cheese cake, apple turnover, all different filling empanadas, maizena alfazors, chocolate croissants, mixed berries crumble coffee cake, cinnamon crumpets, and we also had their iced latte, Iced caramel macchiato, and iced mocha. We love this bakery so much we ordered the whole tiramisu cake and variety empanadas home with us to Charleston, SC. The service was fast too and we like the cleanliness and friendliness of all the people work there. We tried to talk the owner to open Ori's in Charleston but no luck lol. This place also sells sandwiches burgers, and salad. If ya'll visit Marco Island then Ori's bakery and cafe is a must visit bakery for sure! read more

First, the good news: baked goods were fantastic and perfectly done. I think they are the best on the island. I am give giving my opinion on the following with hope that they can make a few adjustments that can make this place even better. Secondly, the average news: we ordered a cappuccino, 2 mochas, and a caramel latte. None of them were close to hot. They were all about 125 degrees. I have a great LaSpazielle home machine and have worked in coffee and both my sons were high end baristas and we all do latte art etc. The barista at Ori's made some basic mistakes which made the coffee just ok. She didn't steam the milk to a higher temp and that is 4/5th of the drink so the drink temp was poor. She also wasn't holding the carafe sometimes when frothing with no thermometer in it so how could she know when it is the right temp if she wasn't even touching it. Every time she got rid of the puck out of the portafilter she just started putting ground coffee right into the portafilter. She should have wiped the old grounds out of the portafilter to get rid of old coffee oils that get burnt if never wiped out. This made the espresso a bit sharp/bitter and old. My thought is that they need to retrain for quality control and then adhere to the roper protocol. Quite honestly, I wanted to jump behind the counter. lol. I will go back tomorrow and give it another shot. Hopefully another barista will be there as their equipment is really good read more

I don't know why I ordered a breakfast platter when I hear the pastry and sandwiches are excellent but I will get to that in a moment...Cute eatery with a "Panera" service model. Exceptionally clean and the pastry and sweets was beautifully presented. Open-air baking with 3 employees paying close attention to the decorative details who can be viewed by patrons and a wonderful coffee bar. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the breakfast platter: The homefries are deep fried, the sausage patty was very greasy and standard quality, and the scrambled eggs were flat and overcooked. I closely compare this breakfast to an express style hotel complimentary breakfast buffet. Platter and a water was nearly $20 and I will not order this again. I will return for a sandwhich and try it out...I do like the feel of this place. read more

It had started to get pretty hot outside so we tried to find someplace to stop and cool off. Their service was very friendly and helpful. I got their peanut butter cookie and it was a little too brittle and dry but still tasted good. My sister got the chocolate croissant and really enjoyed that. My mom also ordered an unsweetened ice tea and not only was it good but it was served in a cool cup. They also had free wifi which was a bonus. I ordered the apple turnover, the cinnamon roll, and also ordered an apple chai as well. I am a huge apple turnover girl and man, this had to be the best I've ever had. Have had two sandwiches here, choripan and a Cuban. Choripan is an Argentine sausage sandwich. It was delicious, but was just a sweet Rolland sausage, no condiments or anything else.
