This service has been cleaning our house for a couple of months. It took a couple of months for the house to really get to their clean standards. I would call it "hotel clean". It's the clean that you see when you go into a hotel room. I have seen some negative reviews. I think that Vince over promises what they can do the first time. It takes a few times for them to get the house really clean to their standards. I would highly recommend that you talk NICELY to Vince. He has been very open and working with us. The two gals that Clean our place, Celia, and Carol, work hard and fast. It's almost like a tornado going through the house. I'm shocked by the poor reviews on here. I say give Orkopina a shot and decide for yourself. Vince was very nice and professional, and he called me afterwards to follow up and make sure I was happy with what I'd gotten. He came off as very direct and honest. My house is spotlessly clean now. The reason I hired Orkopina wasn't so much picking up and making the house look 'nice' as it was a deep cleaning and dusting to help alleviate my wife's allergies. Vince caught and pointed out the fact that my A/C filter was dirty and that after they cleaned, it would just blow more dust into the air. He recommended I change it (and I did! Thank you, Vince!). My point is that he was really looking out for my best interests based upon the scenario I'd given him. The cleaning crew was detail-oriented and efficient, making my home spic-and-span in a matter of a few hours (the same amount of dusting, wiping, and polishing would've taken me an entire day). Typical bait and switch BS. On the phone it's 54 an hour for two people. The day of cleaning he shows up. Oh no it's 54 an hour each person and I'm sending three people. I told him the carpets were vacuumed and the carpet cleaners come at one. Goes what? They vacuumed ALL carpets yet again! Then, guess what? He was over the allotted time because...... Get this!!! Not recommended. For $110.00 they did a move out clean of a small master bedroom and bathroom. Since two people were coming for an hour I asked that if they had time could they do my front bathroom also since I didn't think there was enough work for two for an hour. I was devastated when I got home to see how dirty things were and when I contacted Vince he got defensive and when I sent him pictures he never contacted me again. He was a very nice man when I first set this up but he got ugly when I pointed out what a horrible job they did. I got three bids for this job and definitely picked the WRONG one. My husband found Orkopina Cleaning Service online and was given a quote over the phone. I'm so glad I didn't read the Yelp reviews because they're awful! I rely on Yelp and probably wouldn't have gone with them? I am happy to share that my experience was great! We hired them to clean our windows and the guy did a great job! Inside and out were washed, the tracks and screens as well. We requested our appointment to be no earlier then 9am (we were adamant about it) the guy was 30 mins early and I definitely wasn't ready for him to come in yet to get started...he was really nice about it and said not a problem he'd go grab a coffee and be back at 9am. Worked out Perfect! Knowing how many windows needed cleaning, including the 2 story ones...We were told it would take about 2 hours and were quoted $159.50 (which honestly sounded a bit low?) Again, the guy did a great job! When the owner called to settle the account he said his guy mentioned that the job was much more than anticipated. He said the windows were very dirty (of course they were that's why we hired them) he proceeded to ask me how long it had been since we washed them? Almost like saying it was our fault or something? :o\ I didn't appreciate the approach. Anyway he wanted to know "if we could work something out" because that the job was bigger than what he quoted us for. Other customers might flip out for that. And most people want something for nothing...While I was truly fine with paying a little more, his customer service skills irked me! I don't believe in taking advantage of hard working individuals and it was a messy job well done! He asked me what I thought was reasonable, I offered $40 more. He was so appreciative and thanked me. I'm quite shocked to see the negative feedback. I've used Orkopina weekly for the last 2 years and before that I had used them in the past as well. Vince is very easy to get in touch with. My house is always cleaned nicely. And if something does happen that's not 100% Vince is the first to jump up, apologize and remedy the situation. I have a busy schedule and 4 children. We hired Vince and his crew to deep clean our beauty salon in Burbank. Th place truly hadn't been been given much deeper cleaning attention since our big remodel 5 years ago. I didn't know what to expect but when I got here the next morning the place was sparkling like a diamond. This company has helped me out of several challenging situations. I had an over cluttered house that as a result needed some cleanout, organization and deep cleaning. They have been to my house 3 or 4 times, have been very good to me, non-judgmental and very helpful. The amount of work these girls did was overwhelming, and not easy. They made the best of a challenging situation and cleaned as best as they could for the amount of time i hired them for. I i've never done a review before I thought this one was necessary. I have used a few cleaning companies in the past and never had a problem with deep cleaning . I did this for my daughter for her move in. There was nothing but problems with this company. I Was told that everything I wanted clean for a move in would be done . When I returned after they said they were finished with some rooms, I checked them and none of it was done. I called Vince the owner, and he assured me to give them a little more time that it would all be done. I gave them another hour which I paid for to do the things I had originally asked for. Again I checked everything and it still wasn't done. There was a crew of three workers. I expressed my concern to them when they finished and they said "no English " It's been over a month and as time goes by I am seeing things that I did not check right away. For example the space between the stove and the counter completely covered in filth And crumbs. Another example underneath the attached microwave of the oven covered in grime and grease. I could go on and on but rather not. It was just a very disappointing experience. I completely understand that the charge is number of workers x the hourly rate . I Was quoted one price and ended up paying a lot more. Although I was told it was an estimateAnd could be more I was told by the three employees that it would need no more than 2 1/2 hours. I ended up paying for well over that. I would use any other company that knows how to clean thoroughly. I was sent an email from Vince of everything to be cleaned. When I was explaining to Vince the problems and everything that was not done, all he did was defend his employees saying oh I'm sure they did fine and I'm not gonna argue with you. I even expressed my concerns to the crew and pointed out everything they did not do. They apologized and could not tell me why it was not done. This was a gift for my daughter and family for her move in . I had to hire another crew to come and redo everything. They ended doing great . If you want light dusting or light cleaning they might be ok . Vince is very dishonest and not to be trusted. The way he spoke to me with such disrespect was unacceptable, and did not even care to hear my concerns. I now understand the purpose of reviews . If I could save just one person from going through what I went through with this company , this review will be worth it. I'm so sorry to leave such an awful review but this should not happen . Do not use this company! Orkopina deserves zero stars. I hired their services to clean a large amount of glass at a job site after we did installation. Their crew scratched every single pane of glass! The contractor that hired me was kind enough to have me replace only the ones that were scratched the worst, but I'm out money on the glass and labor cost! I asked Orkopina to pay for the cost only of the few panes of glass that we had to replace. I did not even seek payment for the extra labor costs. I've waited almost a year to write this review in hopes that they would do the right thing and come through with the payment, but Vince Orelli refuses to pay! Even though his company was at fault! Had a appointment today, I was nervous because I had to chase the owner down to confirm the appointment which I found odd. I checked here on Yelp to find these awful reviews, based on the behavior of the company I told the owner I was nervous about his company coming here and wanted to make sure they were going to do a good job. So instead of guaranteeing his work, he first tried to explain I was hiring his company for only 2.5 hours, so I explained to him I was only having his company do 1 bathroom, the kitchen, and the living room and that 2 people should have no problem getting it done right in 2.5 hours and that the Dustaway maids had it done on less. He asked why don't I go back with them, I said because he had a carpet cleaning service also and I was looking forward to having it all done in the same day. Keep in mind I was paying separately for that service and allowed for an extra 2 hour window. So basically he wanted more than 2.5 hours to merely clean a small kitchen, small bathroom, and mop wood floor of a living room at 100 dollars an hour and wouldn't guarantee a good job. So after waiting over 2 weeks for a service he basically said he was going to do a poor job on he cancelled it becasue I wouldn't agree to over 2.5 hours. I called my old service and got it for 129.00 which is 60.00 less and the carpet guy that I called last minute to clean up this guy's hassle came in 20 min annnd took the carpets to wash and scotch guard for the same price. Tried Orkopina due to my regular cleaning service company being booked during the holiday season. I was hesitant but hopeful based on their higher than normal hourly rates. When I booked, the owner said he had time after 3:00pm. They didn't come until 6:15pm. Instead of a 2 girl crew he had 4 girls, which I was fine with (and assumed they could get a lot done quickly). Because of their high rates I asked them to clean as much as they could within the timeframe/budget I had, but to first focus on the floors and bathrooms. It was all a bad experience. The crew stopped working short of their time (and I know this because the owner was sure to point out the exact time, to the minute, that they started working). Instead of continuing to clean other parts of the house during the remaining timeframe (like I had asked them to do), the girls gathered at the front door, chatting. When I approached them to see what they were doing, they proceeded to push their mops over the same area of the floor for a couple of minutes. I was given a "discount" for the time they didn't work. But after the crew left and I was looking around more I found the bathrooms had barely been wiped over and our floors still had plenty of spots that weren't clean or vacuumed. I emailed the owner to let him know of my dissatisfaction, but never heard back from him (which at this point is probably for the better). For the rates they charge, I would expect excellent cleaning and excellent service, both of which did not happen. Never again would I use this company. read more

was in the yellow pages and found what appeared to be a reputable cleaning service. the first walk through the owner of the family owned business is very nice and will do what ever you ask for an extremely high price. did this once, said it was a "spring cleaning ". this took 3.5 hours and cost 820.00 !!!! the house was clean. however, next time after, different crews show up, they are in and out. they never do what was originally agreed upon for weekly services. In addition the house was as dirt as when they got there. the next week there crew spilled bleach on brand new hardwood floors and denied responsibility. Seeing that people have accidents we gave one more try only to have the same dirty house except this time the owner was rude and unprofessional! I was extremely unhappy with their service. They arrived 2 hours late. They did not call me to notify me they were running late...I had to call them after they were 40 minutes past their agreed upon time of arrival. 5 people spent 50 minutes in my home, but you would never have known it!
