In the past I've had some scary experiences with house cleaners such as theft, not cleaning what they agreed to, showing up late etc. It's with great honor that I write this review. This is hands down the best house cleaning service I've ever had. They were on time, extremely professional, fluently bilingual, went over and beyond and even cleaned areas I didn't ask to be clean but needed it. To top it off they even brought their own equipment which is HUGE. The value they provide truly doesn't match their price as I've paid significantly more for much less than they provided. The quality of service I received from the individuals who came to my home was superb. The quality of customer service was deplorable. The office staff is next to impossible to reach. They don't call back. They have you store multiple credit cards on their site but then tell you that you owe them money. They change your schedule without notice and then get angry with you if you politely question them. They accused me of giving them 1 star and the last review I gave them was a 5 star review well after my last interaction with them if I could give them a negative rating. I would give zero for the owners unprofessionalism. The screen shots of his texts are below. In August they were very late for my regular weekly service with no call. This had happened before. The owner apologized and offered a free cleaning if I ever came back. Today he sends me "see ya" when I tried to collect his reasoning was that his client base had grown and he didn't need me. I phoned around to different cleaners to see who could come before the weekend when I had a guest visiting. Maid VIP was more expensive, but I booked them because I wanted the service done at by that time. When I called, I was quoted $389 which was very expensive, but the rep on the phone said she would send "Two of our best maids for 4-5 hours" so for 8 hours of service, I thought my place would be immaculate after. I was sent 1 individual from 9-12, so 3 hours of time. He only did a standard cleaning. Advertised on their website for deep cleaning is cobweb removal, base boards, wiping cabinets, etc. Everything on the deep clean list wasn't done. Some areas in the bathroom were not done and the counter in the kitchen wasn't fully done so it didn't seem right to get charged that much. There was damage to the stove, too, but I didn't make an issue about it because it wasn't in great condition. I emailed them explaining the deep clean charge wasn't appropriate since a standard cleaning was done. Plus, 3 hours VS 8 hours is vastly different. I did not receive a response, so I called. I also mentioned if I booked through the website, the total came out to $359 for a deep cleaning ($229 for a standard cleaning), so that was something else that didn't seem right. After being on the phone for 33 minutes back and forth, they said they would send someone out to finish the deep clean job within 7 days. I explained I wanted the deep clean for the guest over the weekend and I have already been doing all the extra cleaning myself so this wasn't an acceptable resolution. I said if they want to do a 2nd standard cleaning in 2-3 weeks, that would be acceptable. I was told it had to be within 7 days per their policy. I was deeply annoyed by this point and expected better service and resolution and was trying to give them the opportunity to handle this fairly. I said what would be right for a standard cleaning would be a $229 charge and, even though it was higher than other quotes I received ($150 range), they did do it by the weekend, so I would have been okay with that. They said no. So, I will dispute the charges with my credit card company and wanted to write this review to let people know my experience. The cleaner was cool, by the way. I wish I could give NO stars .I booked a reg cleaning because I just renovated and it was totally clean already with new appliances just an empty 1700 SF house that needed floors and surfaces cleaned , First the Booker person Charm quoted 329. which is high but ok ... then she upped it to 489 ... then once the Maid got there who was supposed to notify me 1/2 hour before but didnt , called in and the said it was 679.00 dollars for a basically clean house with brand new appliances and already clean windows . I'm quite dissatisfied with my experience with Maid VIP today. While they were very quick to respond and confirm the booking, they were somewhat annoying to work with. First of all, we were paying $279 to clean our 4-bedroom house. When my mom asked them to clean the light bulbs in one bathroom, they insisted that that qualifies as a "deep cleaning" which would cost an extra $199. So silly. We just wanted the cleaners to dust the light bulbs a little. I asked if they could just clean the light bulbs and NOT do the full "deep cleaning" package. They claimed there were 50 light bulbs that would cost $1 each to dust, and so as a result, they would need to charge us $50 for the light bulbs. I bit the bullet and paid an extra $50. In reality, there were only 34 light bulbs in the house (we counted after the fact). Furthermore, my mom didn't even ask them to clean one of the bedrooms since my grandma was sleeping in there...so why couldn't they squeeze a few light bulbs in without charging us more? Anyway, it felt like once they were at our house, they were nickeling and diming us. We've worked with many other cleaners before and have never experienced this before. I mean, we ended up paying $329. That's a lot of money for a "not deep cleaning" service. I also don't know if the cleaners get the money. We paid $329 to the COMPANY...not the cleaners. I'd recommend finding local cleaners and paying them directly rather than going through this company. read more

**CAUTION ** YOUR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS WILL BE BROKEN! Used Maid VIP for about a year. Quality started to decline related to dust accumulating for months in some areas, putting dirty dishes into a dishwasher of clean dishes, etc. etc. I notify them and tried one more visit - the dusting improves at the expense of other new deficiencies. Hopeless LAST STRAW - my $300 motion sensor simplehuman trash bin doesn't get a refill bag in it and suddenly stops working (from the lid being forced open). They deny reimbursing me unless I can PROVE their person broke it.... Apparently - worked fine in the morning, housekeepers come, doesn't work now - isn't good enough. These people are truly awful. At first I thought it was just the ladies they sent us (one of which was actually lovely, but the other was absolutely awful), but then dealing with the owner was a whole different level of deplorable. First, we let them know we had pets and paid extra for that inconvenience. However, as soon as Betty showed up, she started complaining. I kept the dogs with me in our office with the door closed so they were out of the way, but Betty still rudely insisted they be moved. In response, we moved them into our bedroom since they were cleaning in the kitchen. Not even that was enough, she insisted they be kept outside! We asked that they clean section by section because a) we have dogs and wanted to make sure we could keep the dogs in one area out of the way while they worked in another (we have a 15 year old pug that cannot be kept in the heat for long - it was over 85 degrees) and b) we just moved in so there were boxes and blankets, which we wanted to move around to allow them to work around them. Betty refused. She said it was "her process" to do everything at once (aka have her cleaning stuff spread everywhere throughout the house with all the doors open making the house completely unusable as she randomly did one thing in one room and then something else somewhere else). At one point, my boyfriend had to walk down the hall to use the restroom and asked her to move her vacuum cleaner. She rudely huffed at him and refused to move it. On top of that, they insisted they could only clean the closets if there was nothing on the shelves, so we had to take things out and put them on the floor. Then Betty complain that things were on the floor - if they can't be put away and can't be on the floor, where are they supposed to go?! Moreover, she rudely complained the whole time about how dirty the place was. We hired her to clean! All of this would have been annoying but whatever, but after the team left, we noticed that one of the rooms was still unclean. There were major cobwebs still in the corners and she broke my boyfriend's pull up bar. Then the issues with the owner began. I guess he had issues with my credit card. When he emailed me about them, I reentered my card information and checked with my bank. All should be fine, but just this evening, I received a nasty email stating that he was going to take me small claims court. I responded telling him again, that the credit card info was updated, but that at this point, I did not think we should have to pay the quoted price since things were not done as stated (one room uncleared, bed unmade ... etc). So please, save yourself the trouble and use Handy. Everyone I've used there has always been lovely. I only tried this because I needed more of a deep clean. Not worth it at all. read more

We were excited to hire Maid VIP. The two housekeepers who showed up were very friendly and kind, but they failed to complete the basic deep clean that we paid for. We paid almost 400 for a deep clean of three bathrooms, one small kitchen (not including inside cabinets or floors) and interior windows. That's it. When they left I checked the bathroom. There were still dead flies in the bottom of shower. None of the stains on the tiles were gone. They didn't clean shower walls, but just poured water on them. They literally broke my electric gate and the guy in charge of it didn't issue a refund. Instead he was personally insulting about it and told me the security camera footage I had wasn't good enough to prove the lady from the cleaning crew did it. The gate was good before they got there and then you have a frame with her in it and the gate broken. No one else came to my house. They didn't even offer me a refund and they don't clean animal cages or do laundry so you can pay them 125$ to break your stuff costing a $500+ dollar repair and stay for about an hour job in 1 room and the kitchen. To Chris: I literally can't believe how you conduct yourself as a business owner. It's no wonder people keep saying your response is all they need to know to avoid your service. Do yourself a favor and get a personal housekeeper, don't go through a service especially not this one. But it turned out my house even not cleaned as a simple house cleaning. The table on the entry way still with full if the dirts. Master bathroom even worse. Wow! These guys are simply the best around! I contacted them earlier last week to set up a cleaning for this past weekend (I'm expecting family in a few days from now). I quickly received an email from Chris who, let me say, has been extremely prompt and responsive to any questions or concerns I had throughout my experience. Concerns no more! Their maid showed up Sunday morning to clean up my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condominium. After speaking with Chris over the phone to confirm the appointment, I felt the company was trustworthy enough to leave and grab some breakfast with a friend while they got to work. Amazing experience, from booking down to George & Daisy coming to clean. The owner, Chris, is extremely responsive. It's incredible that he answers every time I emailed or texted - I just had a good feeling after dealing with him. I only need one floor cleaned, and Daisy and George went above and beyond - they cleaned things that they didn't have to clean either! They were extremely pleasant, even with my pesky dog. Above all...I am a stickler about floors and the "stickiness" that cleaners leave behind. I've had services in the past where it felt like too much cleaner was used, and I would always have to re-do wiping the floors, etc after the housecleaners left. We moved to the area two months ago and had someone come in to clean the house before we moved in. Lets just put it in simple lament terms the person didn't ever do their job and I was cleaning the day of move in. I was looking for a place that offered monthly services as well as the option for a deep clean. I went on Yelp, I found Maid VIP and saw they had stellar reviews and decided to give them a shot. They just got done cleaning my home almost two hours ago and our home looks fabulous. The house looks spotless and is just absolutely gorgeous. I'm quite particular about how my home needs to be cleaned and I've gone through housekeeper after housekeeper and cleaning service after cleaning service at my previous home. I am literally beyond ecstatic to have found Maid VIP and to have them come into my home monthly for a clean. I'm even more excited that I don't have to go through the tedious task of going through the rounds of finding the cleaning crew that hits a home run their first shot. I had maid VIP clean my house and while the cleaning crew did a very good job, the customer service received out of the office was less than courteous. The issue here was that my credit card was declined on the cleaning day which was Saturday, I had given him a debit card that didn't go through, it was an honest mistake and sometimes credit cards have issues, doesn't mean the person is broke or unwilling to pay. I live in a very nice home close to North Ranch, absolutely no reason it looked like I was trying to back out of paying, other than I had not replied to their text message from Sunday, we're talking over the weekend, it's easy to miss a text on Sunday from an unknown phone number. Early Monday AM I get a text stating if you don't pay us today that we will be filing against you. Now in my opinion that is poor customer service, I have never not paid a contractor for services rendered, I didn't get to where I'm at by behaving that way. What followed was a negative exchange and at that point I didn't want to give them another credit card number because now we have a trust issue. Any business that resorts to name calling customers through text, I have to question. In addition, they said they wouldn't take a check from me and would rather send me to collections. How much sense does that make, you're going to pay a collection company to take a check from me because you won't. I've been writing checks to contractors for years, literally never had someone say they would send me to collections but not take my check. In the end I figured out why the payment didn't go through, made a simple transfer and they were paid. After seeing how impatient and quick to conflict these people are, I'll be moving on. I noticed they mostly have good reviews so I hope you have a better experience with them than I did. Hey Chris! When Jorge left he said everything was good, I figured the card went through otherwise why would he have left without a check. And I guess it never occurred to you or Carla that maybe some people aren't obsessively checking their phones 24/7 on Sunday and are actually enjoying themselves with their family, which is something I strongly recommend for you, because to be so bitter at the world it must be real hard for you to relax. For the record I never received one real phone call from this company, just two texts messages on Sunday and a threatening text Monday morning. I've written several reviews of cleaning services over the years, but Maid VIP probably deserves the highest praise of all of them! We've been clients for a while now - months over months - and I'm so continually impressed with the level of customer service that Chris provides, and furthermore the actual quality of the clean itself, namely by Jorge and Daisy. They are fastidious, hard-working, coachable, unfailingly polite, and frankly two of the kindest people with whom I've had the pleasure of working. If I could afford to have them come every week as opposed to every two weeks, I absolutely would! Note that it's not the cheapest service around, but I've discovered with cleaning services in general, you get what you pay for (so it probably shouldn't be)! Though I pay a bit more than several of my friends, I reconcile it by keeping in mind a few key things: 1) Their dedication to showing up during the appointed day/time - EVERY time... 2) Their incredible work ethic, and fortitude to make every experience a great one (even when they have their work cut out with them, with my messy house!) ... 3) All of the little touches: folding my daughters blankets neatly, taking out the dishes as needed, even cleaning up our children's toys without being asked, etc. ...4) The fact that I trust them. If you read some of my other reviews as to what's happened in the past to our family... This can't be overstated. I trust Jorge and Daisy implicitly, and welcome them into my home as though they're members of our extended family. UPDATE: Chris S. Thank you very much for your prompt response. I am sorry that a portion of my review left you troubled, especially since we had already discussed the issue of the lack of cleaning. Your response was rashly made and honestly just an example of mud slinging. We were utilizing your home cleaning service because incase it needs further explanation (as the name implies) we needed help with keeping the home clean. Stating our home is "filthy" and "I wish I could post pictures on here to show the level of filth we had to walk into each time" is just rude and attempting to take focus off the issue. I think anyone that is looking for a home cleaning service can agree that their home is not in perfect shape either, that is the point of the service. I do hope that anyone that might read this thinks twice before allowing your company into their home after you state taking photos of my "filthy" home and wishing to post them online, as well as how difficult it was for you to walk into my "filthy home". My home is by no means perfectly clean but it is far from filthy. Thank you for addressing the issue of the cats and again the level of filth of my home, that is greatly appreciated and reaffirms our decision to no longer request your services. Having two blind cats I stated from the beginning that was not necessarily a room that someone else needed to clean other than myself, as we expressed that many times. And as for the 2 positive company reviews I submitted (that amazes you as to why we would continue the services even after the issues), I believe I addressed the cleaner that did do a nice job and specifically wrote below we would in fact utilize her again. But I am thinking you did not actually read my entire review before immediately resorting to making my review sound unfounded. And as for the not wanting to pay for the additional services, we both know that was not the case. We did not need those services, because again although you'd rather portray my home as utter filth that was not the case. Again, thank you for your prompt response and solidifying our decision. I truly hope you have a better level of professionalism with your current and future customers than you have displayed here. We began our cleaning service with Maid VIP which initially began on the right foot, and signed up for automatically scheduled visits every other week with automatic payment directly from our bank. The first visit was as we had expected, the home was actually cleaned. Every visit there after seemed to be less and less desirable. Although we were told specific cleaners were to come to our home usually it was someone else entirely that had not been to the home before, typically then requiring us to yet again go over what we needed. The cleaners had even gone as far as informing the company that they were "deep cleaning" our home on a regular basis which was completely false (when not even moping any of the floors during the cleaning process how is that deep cleaning). We were able to move past that with the company and decided to remain with Maid VIP, realizing that maybe just having them clean the kitchen, living room, master bedroom and one bathroom would be a better idea. That lasted one, maybe two visits. Ultimately we were placed in a situation where we were expecting someone to come and clean our home before a holiday party. We were informed shortly before their expected time that they were unable to arrive, which now placed us in a bind of getting things in order for the party as well as spur of the moment cleaning. We allowed this to role off our back and at that time stated things happen sometimes, it is in fact (although extremely irritating) not a big deal. Until we came to our next scheduled visit; again we were informed that the member to clean our home would be unable to do so yet again. Even after the previous incident, we attempted to maintain a trusting relationship with Maid VIP and allow the services to continue. Called and Spoke with Chris who was very professional and on point. We set up a time for a cleaning the next day for my 1 bedroom apartment with 2 dogs. The next day the cleaner showed up and was very professional and personal. I took my two dogs out and let her do her thing, came back to find my place spotless!!
