These guys were fantastic! I arranged a move with them about two weeks in advance for a Friday afternoon. They called on Wednesday to confirm my move for Thursday. Ohh man, I completely whiffed and gave them the wrong day. Uggh. Looking back on the email, it was completely my fault. And of course they were booked up for that Friday. I had people coming to town to help me unpack and needed to have beds so that they could stay with me. This had disaster written all over it. Alex handled it beautifully. We agreed that I would call around to see if any other company was available and he would call around to see if he could find another truck - did I mention they were already jammed packed for that Friday? Of course I could not find another company (Friday at the end of the month) But Alex came through!!!! He found a truck and he and another guy showed up that morning on time and ready to go. About the move itself, they were great! I had recently had experience with another company in Chicago (the official movers of the Chicago Bears). These two guys ran circles around that prestigious company. They were extremely careful, using a ton of moving pads, tape and plastic wrap. Even though they were being paid by the hour, these guys humped it. When I was in the best shape of my life, I could not have kept up with these guys. And they were doing it in heat of Orlando. They would not even take a break for lunch. In addition to just a quality move, they went above and beyond in helping us move a huge hutch that the previous owners left. This thing was a monster, they had to disassemble it and handled it like pros. They disassembled beds and other furniture when appropriate and all was in perfect working order when they left. They charged a fair hourly rate and were professional in their attention to time. These guys took more care and paid more attention to detail than if you did it yourself. Where to start? From quote to closing the door to my storage unit this has to be one of my best moves yet. Five stars! After reading a lot of review here on Yelp, I decided to use Express Movers for my move within Orlando (From a 3rd floor apartment to a townhouse). I wanted to write this review to help decide future movers. I contacted them via phone and they gave me a quote which did not change when the job was done. No hidden fees. They charge hourly (the charges vary depending on the job I guess, but one time transportation fees is charged separately, 99 for me) and I think they were very reasonable among all the movers I researched. Bobby and I think Alex were on the moving job that day. They came on time, they were very polite and professional. They did not waste a second and started loading stuff on the truck. I think most people think of moving as one of the most awful experiences of their lives. I was def one of those people until a few days ago. First off, I had to change my moving time from Saturday to Sunday and they don't even normally work on Sunday's but the owner accommodated me anyways and showed up right on the dot, 10am. Booking Orlando Express Movers through Yelp was great - they offered very competitive rates, they were responsive, and they were able to accommodate my move with just a few days notice. The two guys came right when they said they would (8-9am window) and went straight to work. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. Our move entailed first emptying a storage locker, then an apartment, and finally to a house. Once the truck was loaded at one destination, they were ready to go to the next and do it again until the final drop off point. They handled everything with care and made sure to check where we wanted everything to go. Even with the summer heat and some rain to deal with, it was no problem and they maintained a good sense of humor. Absolutely phenomenal job by Alex and team. I scheduled a delivery on a Wednesday for a Sunday pick up without a problem. Alex told me all the details as far as what they offer for packing/protecting my furniture. Very clear on pricing. They provide very detailed instructions of what they ask for to set up the service which is very minimal (email detailing the addresses and items being moved) The company calls for confirmation the night before to ensure nothing has changed. I used the online quote system and got a response back quickly. It wasn't a move but just transferring a large table and chairs from one place to another. Granted, the flat rate is probably determined as if they are driving from their location and not your particular needs so be prepared to pay for an hour more than you think but it's worth it.
