Don't waste your hard earned money on this company! The owner is not true to his word!! I moved over six months ago, and his crew broke several expensive items of mine including a backyard fountain, my son's computer screen and my mother's antique dishes. The owner Trey left his young crew to do the entire move unsupervised. Towards the end of my move it started raining, so his crew put most of my second-story items in my storage shed. The next day my cousin and I had to move these boxes upstairs. The owner, Trey and I have had several conversations in which he's promised to make it right and to refund some of my money. At first he was waiting for insurance, then he said he had to pay to get an insurance payout (yea, it's called a deductible) and over a month ago he said the proverbial check was in the mail. I can't say enough about Trey and the crew at OMC. With moving being such a stressful time for anyone, Trey and the guys at OMC put me at ease. My main concern with booking movers is that I would get some guys off of the street. I'm very happy that Trey's crew were actual professionals. All of them - Trey, Kyle, Torrese, and Andre knew what they were doing. Again... PROFESSIONAL was the key word (I wish I could have said the same about the clowns I hired to unload the trailer at my destination). Trust me, you want PROFESSIONALS handling your things. I had them load a 28 ft trailer for my move back in December and I can't imagine anyone else getting it as fully and efficiently packed as they did. My things were all the way to the top of the trailer, but packed safely and efficiently (boxes on top of solid items, and all were strapped in nicely). Trey was in constant contact with me through the entire process. I appreciate that I wasn't calling a call center or some corporate office. Trey was even a part of the loading, doing an amazing job of "directing" the guys (like I said... it was EFFICIENT... no stalling or moving slow at all). Again, can't say enough. This review is going to be short and sweet, as I don't have too much to say here. I've got zero complaints. They explained their pricing options and process very clearly over the phone. They arrived on time and were friendly, personable and professional. They brought everything that they needed for my move, including protective gear for my furniture. Everything was done within a reasonable timeframe and all of my goods arrived intact. I did have one broken bowl, but that was due to a packing mistake on my part and had nothing to do with them. These folks are top notch. Their rates are pretty competitive relative to what their competitors charge, and they're worth every single penny. My boyfriend and I just moved to Baldwin Park. We looked on Yelp for movers, because we both used a company (2 guys and a vehicle... if you know who I mean)... We both had a great experience with them, but we wanted to find others for prices. We read a few recommendations on here, so we decided to check out OMC. Moving two apartments from East Orlando and Downtown to 1 apartment in Baldwin Park. 2. Move in a month 3. Price - Under what the others guys provided. Trey gave me a quote, that was below or just around the others. I decided to give OMC a try due to their reviews, and BOY AM I GLAD I DID!! From the day before our move, I could not have been more pleased. From emails and voice mails, to text messages, I was updated on everything. When they will arrive, how many people will be there, answered questions I had, and they came prepared. The guys did an awesome job. They came in to both apartments, wrapped everything securely, were very friendly and personable, fast (damn fast!!!), careful (very careful), and unloaded everything in record time. When the guys left, they called the office for a revision to the bill because they were done early, and I received over 300$ off of the quote. I guess my move was less intensive than expected. For that, I will not complain. Overall, I can't say how great the guys were. Actually, yes I can. I asked the guys if they wouldn't mind moving a couch from the 19th floor to the 12th floor to a friends unit. They did not hesitate and said sure. They brought it down, and spent time trying to get it into the apartment and put effort into doing something outside of the scope of their arrangement. To me this meant so much, because they were going above and beyond what others would do!! THANK YOU!!! Trey, what you wrote is NOT true!! Your movers used several hours to move things to their own houses and charged me!! Further more, you stated that they were alter based on items left in those alcoves in the pool table room; funny, the only items in the alcoves were the chairs and they were still there. Movers were almost done when I left and ironically, it took them three more hours to move things for themselves. We hired these guys to move us from Winter Park to Altamonte. They had to stop at 2 different locations to pick up furniture prior to unloading at our new residence. The team was led by Arnando. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of the other 2 gentlemen he was working with but all 3 were outstanding. They were on time, wrapped every item carefully and did not stop moving the whole time. Wow!!! Trey and his team really did and amazing job getting me and my son moved into our new home. Not only did he move my things from our huge 10x15x30 storage unit, but he had the tough job of sifting through the terrible job that the previous moving company I used when putting my things in storage. I sent a message to Trey on Yelp about a week prior to the move to discuss details and pricing. I explained the mess the storage unit was in and he put me at ease saying it was not a problem and they could handle it. Boooooy did they ever!!! Although my move took quite a bit of time, it was completed with their " Spirit of Excellence." I didn't feel rushed and they were always professional. Trey and his team are by far the best moving company I have used! Everyone was incredibly polite and positive. When we added items last minute their only question was "Can I put it on the truck now?" Trey went above and beyond in our move to Atlanta from Florida by taking the items up that day to arrive early the next morning! This is an amazing company with an even greater staff! Unfortunately, I did not have the funds to hire professionals for my move as I am a recent college grad in Orlando and am making a big move to Los Angeles. Fortunately, the owner of OMC, Trey, and his team so kindly offered to help me move everything out of my storage unit and into my PODs container at NO cost. They completely packed my entire 16ft container, generously giving me moving blankets and straps to secure all of my belongings. I could not thank these guys enough they were my guardian angels that day! If it weren't for the Orlando Moving Company I would not have received my belongings in such pristine condition after it's travel across the U.S. These guys had absolutely no obligation to help me. Hello, let me first say that I have just as many great things to say about the company as I have some major concerns with them. As many other reviews have stated, they were prompt, professional and kept in contact leading up to move day. When they arrived, the guys got right to work. I was moving out of a 2 room condo into a 3 bdrm single family home. I had 2 bdrm sets (1 mattress because the other was disposed of), a sectional, dining table +chairs, and miscellaneous boxes. My master bdrm furniture has a canopy that appeared to give the guys a bit of a challenge to disassemble causing the process to go much longer than expected. After a while, I started to become concerned about the price increasing as a result and began to contemplate whether or not I could still stop by the storage unit to pick up the items from there. We ended up taking so much longer to complete the pack up at the condo that I canceled the intermediate trip and decided to head straight over to the house. I believe that it was much easier to unload into the house over the condo (no stairs, etc). However, for some reason, I guess the set up of the beds again seem to stall out again. My miscellaneous boxes were brought in and placed where instructed as well. After the move was done, I was flabbergasted at the price. I have moved a few times over my life, using movers and I have NEVER spent $1000 to do so!!! I have moved far more for a whole lot less. With virtually the same level of performance. They did good work and were very friendly but I believe their youth and inexperience may have cost me a lot extra. If I had any idea the move would take me 5 hours (and that was without my intermediate stop and the items I moved on my own) I would have chosen other methods to get the move done. I still to this day cannot find my red Bluetooth portable speaker that I spent $150 on. Not to mention that there were so many other items that I chose to transport on my own that I wished for that price I would have MADE SURE that they took EVERYTHING on that truck!!! I attempted to reach out to Trey by phone and left him a voicemail, but unfortunately I did not receive a call back. Perhaps because the move was completed, they were a little less interested? Customer service is not so much the PRIORITY after the money is in the bank.....Idk. Excellence??? I'm not sure that's the word I can use. Not only did I get the best price from OMC, I also received a detailed proposal, outlining all costs. The check that I wrote exactly matched the amount on the proposal. There were no hidden costs or added extras. The eight person crew arrived exactly on time. All were well groomed, dressed in clean company t-shirts and jeans. Every member of the team was courteous, polite, respectful, professional and efficient. No time was wasted and we finished on time, exactly according to schedule. All furniture was padded and wrapped for protection and securely loading into the trucks. Not a single item has any damage. OMC has truly made my mom's move very fast and easy. I got an estimate very quickly and was pleased with the customer service given. Trey is extremely polite, respectful, and caring. His team came on time and immediately had a plan of action and got to work. At first, I was hesitant as to how the team would perform since we were moving into a 3rd floor apartment (no elevator); especially in 90+ degree weather! But man was I surprised. Trey's team tackled the job and carried everything up those stairs like it was nothing. Everything that they moved they protected with shrink-wrap, cloth, boards, tape, etc. Nothing was damaged.
