In A Zip was a mixed experience. I have been trying to get a receipt from the move with no success. No one responds to my emails. The movers took a long time to move my things for my studio, but they did have to disassemble and assemble furniture which they did well. They weren't able to take anything not boxed so I'm still having to move things between apartments after my move like ironing board. I would've liked the upfront notice. The movers themselves were very nice and professional and obviously trying their best. If I was writing about my impression of them it would be 5 stars, but getting a receipt shouldn't be this hard. My husband and I recently moved from Davenport, FL to Winter Garden, FL and had a fantastic experience with In A Zip Moving Company. I created a project on Yelp and Genevieve from In A Zip reached out to me. Right away, I appreciated how upfront and honest they were with their pricing, and I loved that they are a family-owned and operated business. We scheduled our move about a month in advance, and they only required a very reasonable $100 deposit to secure our date. The day before our move, Genevieve called to confirm everything was set. She also let me know that the foreman would call the morning of the move to confirm their exact arrival time, which made the whole process feel very organized and stress-free. On moving day, I was introduced to our team: Richard (the foreman) and movers Aaron and Dylan. I showed them what needed to be moved, and from that point on, they took complete control in the best way possible. They worked efficiently and professionally, and it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. We were initially quoted 5 1/2 hours, but the job was completed in just 4 1/2 hours. Even better, we were only charged for the actual time it took--not the original estimate. That level of honesty is so refreshing. Richard and his team took excellent care of all of our belongings. Everything was wrapped in moving blankets and secured with packing tape, and all items arrived at our new home in the same condition they left our old one. I truly cannot recommend In A Zip Moving Company enough. We also learned that they offer out-of-state moves, and with several of our family members planning moves from California to Florida, we will absolutely be referring them to In A Zip. Tried coordinating with an individual on the phone. I was told that they would give me a call by the same day but never received a call back. I never received what my quote would have been to even possibly use them as movers. They also asked me if I could move my day which I was willing to do however it was have to be during a specific time as I had a doctors appointment in the morning. I told them I didn't not want to waste their time if they couldn't tell me if I could have one of the two days we were discussing which is what prompted them to tell me they would call me back with a confirmation on what day. I'm sure they are great movers but might need some help with coordinating their calendars and follow ups. read more

We booked In A Zip based on reviews we found on Yelp - for a local move in the Orlando area. From the start, commutation with the team was excellent. Providing answers to questions as they arose as well as contact with us for the day of the move. The move was not an easy one as the movers had to work with an apartment complex that did not have an elevator for the unit being moved into (on the 3rd floor). Price was a bit more than other quotes I had received however cheaper doesn't mean better (and In A Zip had a substantial number of positive reviews). Cost of move did end up being higher than quoted, but due to the logistics of the move, it took a bit longer than the original estimate. From start to finish, In A Zip Movers made what could have been a stressful move--from Central Florida to Tampa for both me and my mother--feel easy, organized, and even enjoyable. The crew showed up right on time, worked with incredible efficiency, and treated our belongings with so much care you'd think they were moving their own family. They packed, loaded, and unloaded everything with precision, and nothing was scratched, damaged, or misplaced. What really stood out was how kind and respectful they were toward my mom--checking in often to make sure she was comfortable and happy with where things were placed. They even went the extra mile to help rearrange a couple of heavy items after unloading, just to make sure the space felt right for us. The pricing was very fair (especially for the level of service), and there were no surprise charges--everything was exactly as quoted. I needed a 10×15 storage to storage move, was quoted $350, ended up paying $560 for 3 hours. Won't be using them again.

Moving companies basically hold you hostage till you pay once you're loaded. If the final estimate is a lot higher the original, then you have to pay up or lose your stuff. Make sure you get a walk through and written estimate is done for everything being moved, with packing etc. These people screwed me over. I still haven't recovered financially. read more

The crew at In A Zip Moving is awesome! I got quotes from a few companies and their pricing is more than fair for the service they provide. The packing and unpacking add-on is by far the best I've seen in any of my moves for work, and definitely worth the investment. I watched the amount of detail that they put into making sure all my things had the right amount of packaging to stay secure for the journey to our new home, and they worked with me in the new place to make sure everything was where I needed it to be. Seeing the care they put in their work really reduced a lot of the anxiety I have about moving. For sure recommend for your next move. read more

I'm a senior lady who made a Yelp request for quotes for VERY small moving job (queen mattress & box spring) and a few boxes. Michael responded with, "we would love to help you," but when I asked for a price, he refused to give me one and called me rude. I have left a voicemail for the owner (Richard Orcutt) telling him how badly Michael treated me. Now I see I am lucky to find out how bad this company is before I got tricked into hiring them like the other unfortunate senior lady did. Seems like they are bad people (or at least Michael is in my opinion) who want to rip off or be mean to old ladies who are looking for help moving their things. Terrible. Edit after response: You should get rid of Michael. I have the entire text thread to share with anyone who wants to read it. Anyway, after reading other reviews from seniors, I would NEVER use this company for ANYTHING, especially if they keep someone like Michael around to be mean to senior ladies. The only thing I would've liked was a confirmation call, text or email the day or 2 days before our scheduled move. However, I called and confirmed the day before and we were exactly as scheduled.
