My girlfriend has owned a 2007 Mini Cooper S exclusively since the day it rolled off the lot. She is a very easy on the vehicle in contrast to myself as I am more aggressive on my cars. This Mini, and the ownership that comes with it, has been a bit of a learning experience for me as I have only ever owned American or Japanese manufacturers. When a service is needed or something needs repairs, I never settle for anything other than the manufacturer's service departments to insure that the vehicle is serviced by experienced and knowledgeable mechanics that are familiar with all the nuances a vehicle may have. I will NEVER go to the Jacksonville, FL Mini Service station again as nearly all the service that has been provided was slow on implementation, misdiagnosed (for over a year), communication skills to the customer borderline disrespectful and finally difficult to coordinate around a very ridiculous schedule. (Mechanics with bankers hours practically!) Orlando Mini was a breath of fresh air almost immediately with our service liason Adante Cameron. I unfortunately have HORRIBLE scheduling, do not always get across all of my concerns in one call due to unforeseen circumstances or request additional information as a service progresses. Adante answered "ALL" or "RETURNED" every voice mail that was left with him about our service visit. I can place our call quantity around 4-8 calls in one afternoon over the span of 3-5 hours. Every call I made revolved around service cost quotation and updates, mechanical knowledge and alternative perspectives regarding the service options available and finally education regarding Mini specific mechanical issues. EVERY TIME I talked with him he provided me an answer that satisfied my concerns and was also a correct assessment regarding the vehicle as opposed to the Jacksonville Service Team's diagnoses. If it were not for Adante and his coordination with his mechanic servicing my girlfriend's Mini (I truly wish I could remember his name to give him credit as well), her engine would have literally blown up. Those of you that are not familiar with engines and mechanical function, please find someone to trust, and I find this dealership to be that place. This engine's timing chain was on the verge of breaking and had been misdiagnosed as, "Requiring more oil", for over a year. The charges for labor and parts for a task like this is indeed not cheap per se, but had this part failed while the vehicle was driving at highway speeds, it would be an entirely new engine, and not a simple part replacement as had been executed there at the Orlando Mini Service Department. So for this initial engagement where I became more involved with communicating with this Mini Service Department, I say thank you to Adante and his associates for saving my girlfriend's car from a very costly misdiagnosis. I will always make the drive from Saint Augustine, FL to Orlando, FL from now on to have this vehicle serviced. read more

we bought the tire service and the dent repair services when we purchased our mini clubman. After a whole year, they stills don't have the paint for the repairs (it is not an-unusal color, pearlized grey). about the dent service they only provide it on Friday from 2-5, and the tire repair from 10-11 on Thursdays! read more

From the moment I inquired about my car the staff were very friendly, personable, polite, respectful and patient. The place is dog friendly..(I saw the cutest little pug in there!) they had many different flavors of coffee to choose from including my favorite (French vanilla) as well as ice cream and cookies, I mean who doesn't love that?! Sam and Alden were extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process. Alden bent over backwards to get me into the car I wanted. Took my Mini in for service due to the engine turning off. They gave me an estimate for a valve cover and told me my air conditioner needed to be replaced. estimate was $2400.00. Took to another mechanic and got the car valve cover fixed for $900.00. No problem with air conditioner. read more

I don't live close.. Called the parts department to have a simple engine coolant cap left for me at the main desk. I get there and was told the parts department was closed and I had to come back in the morning. It was 6:05 and NO ONE was able to resolve this simple issue. Not happy at all! read more

We recently bought our third MINI, and the second from Orlando MINI. Jim and Brittany both made the buying process painless and personal. Most car dealerships make you feel like a number and if you aren't buying a car that day they want nothing to do with you. Jim has gone through the looking process several times with my husband, and he has always been patient and polite. This time he found the car that he wanted and we were able to make a deal. My Mini is 11 years old and they treat me just like the person who bought a new mini. They've always been great about getting my car sorted and back on the road in a timely fashion. Never have tried to up sell me on anything which will be the reason when I'm ready for a new mini I will visit them. I purchased my Mini from Carmax. Thankfully, it has been well maintained by a Mini dealership all it's life. I have continued that care since it's been in my hands. Recently, my thermostat failed and the dreaded check engine light lit up. I made an appointment with Orlando Mini and took it in. Now, I had another issue to address also, and without placating me, Anthony, the service manager always was my voice of reason. He assists in every way possible when I call or come in. I picked up my car two days later from service and began to drive away. Low and behold, a mile down the road I get an alert, Engine Overheating! I thought, this isn't correct. So, drove it back to the dealership, and left it overnight. Anthony called the following morning and not only had they taken care of something that was associated with the thermostat repair, he also provided me with a spark plug change. Mind you, I had just spent $1167. Anthony is the man, Orlando Mini has a great reputation and I will continue my service at this location. read more

Everytime I take my MINI to be serviced at Orlando MINI (oil changes, tires, fluid checks...) the whole expierience is always a pleasant one. I am never "surprised" by any charges or repairs that are unnecessary, in fact the staff is so honest they have let me know of parts/service that could hold off for a bit...we have all owned cars and we all know that is a RARE quality to find in the car buisness of any kind! I will never use your services again. I totally trusted you - followed your advice on whatever services you said we needed for my Mini and felt so good about the car and your service department. That all changed when you would not honor the two year warranty on a 150.00$ battery. Told us we would have to have the car towed in so you could check to see if the battery failure was our fault. The car was in our garage and we live on a tiny dirt road so it would be difficult to tow to say the least even if we thought it was worth it. Do you really think we trusted you to say the battery was defective? I am still trying to figure out how to get this information to other mini owners - your warranties are not worth the paper they are written on. So sad that you have decided your word is not worth $150.00. Even called the national office and they were really snarky. read more

If you're going to treat me like I'm stupid, you'd better be darned certain that I am first. I brought my 2016 Honda CR-V in to trade. I was interested in a Mini Clubman, but after sitting in the back seat I immediately knew that it would not work for my elderly mother. My wife wanted to try the Countryman, because I have been interested in a Mini for a long time. I will try to condense my story. It turns out that the housing for the electrical on the front seat creates a sort of wing that was digging into my thigh (I am not a large person, either). The salesman brought pointed out a car that had been brought around shortly after we arrived at the dealership. He said it's a new car that had been driven by an executive so it has 6,000+ miles on it, but it's still considered new. I sat in it and it was more accommodating so I asked for a deal to be written up. After about thirty minutes the salesman came back with some story about not being able to use the Corporate Partnership Program because while they consider the car to be new it technically isn't. So he showed me the numbers and told me that because I couldn't take advantage of the corporate discount they discounted $1600. Their starting price was the price of a brand new vehicle and higher than the list price online. The payment was well over the payment he quoted me for a brand new hybrid that was listed at $10k more than this car. And when I asked if the vehicle is considered to be brand new why would it have a sticker that says "as-is, no warranty" he said it was because of the excessive mileage on it. Buddy, you can't have it all here. Decide whether the car is new or used. List it & price it accordingly. And never assume that because I'm a woman I'm stupid. Huge mistake. Big. Huge. Anthony in service was excellent with a small problem that had to be fixed. Everyone followed through to make sure I was happy. I will say the first mini I had I had terrible problems with the service dept. and not fixing a problem I had. I had to go to another repair shop to have the problem resolved, that mini kept saying wasn't a problem. But now they seem to have revamped the service dept., all around. No one is too busy to talk to you, or to return your phone call. You now get texts asking if everything is okay. Great customer service and well done. read more

I have had the most wonderful experiences at this Orlando Mini location! I visited this dealership two years ago for a battery issue, and just went back today for an airbag issue and their team remembered myself and my car. My airbag light was on, and after they took a look at it they stated there were no issues with my airbags, and the light would turn off soon. They did not charge me. They also vacuumed and cleaned all of the bugs off my car in the process, which was a huge perk for me! It's a really fun atmosphere and they have free coffee, water, ice cream, muffins, and donuts while you wait. I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone who owns a Mini. read more

This will be my opinion, and experience of purchasing a car from Orlando mini, I want to begin by stating that me, and my girlfriend look young and are often not taken seriously by car dealerships (I walked out of 2 dealerships prior, i have no problem keeping my money in my pocket if customer service is not up to par). Upon arriving to Orlando mini we walked the lot to look for a car that I saw online, and within 10 minutes we were greeted by Romane (great sales person... 5 stars ) he brought us inside and went and got the keys for us, no BS. on the test drive he explained all the features, but most importantly he asked what we usually drive, I told him a Mercedes, and gave us his honest opinion about the differences, what we would like, and what we would be sacrificing. Since he drives a mini as his car he gave us real life stats for him, how much he was filling up and interior space, what features he used, and what he didn't. and he let us rive the countryman just to see the difference between the two models. Overall great experience working with Romane Orlando mini was able to work out a deal with me and i brought the car home, this is where they lost a star, after purchasing the car (mini certified keep this in mind ) I reached behind the seat and saw mail, and confidential information from the previous owner that the dealership should have cleaned. Also after taking it back to Gainesville and driving it for about 2 days the tire pressure sensor light went off, no big deal, took it to our local bmw dealership to have the investigate, they checked it and ensured that there was no issue filled it with air and sent me on my way. well a few days later i received another notification from the tpms and stopped into a local tires plus and asked him to check it for me. I told him it was the 2nd time this has happened. so he took the wheel completely off, to check, there was a nail that was imbedded into the tire that could not be seen unless the wheel was removed and was slowly leaking the tire. While I cant prove that this happened at the dealership or in my care, I did have an issue with the quality of review that was given before this car was listed as certified and thats what bothers me about buying a new tire not a week after buying the car. As the rim was also damaged (they did offer to repair the rim but i don't live in Orlando so making it to the dealership for this repair has been a challenge. rim still not fixed, I work 8-5 mon - fri and the guy who repairs rims for them only comes in on Fridays. bought car in August its near the end of October, still not fixed, not taking off work, to fix what you did). Summary of experience Great sales team, nice lobby, good experience. Great contact after purchasing car in terms of answering questions. However more care needs to be placed into cars before listed for sale( at least throw away the mail with the guys information). read more

Here's my story with Orlando MINI. Today I bought a 2016 Clubman S from MINI at Wesley Chapel. Before doing this I went to Orlando MINI because it's the closest dealer from me. When I arrived I was approached by a salesperson. Courteous enough he offered to help. I told him I had an appointment and had built my MINI online, he told me they had no access to what I had built because when you send the result to the dealer it somehow gets lost. I explained what I was looking for and he said I had to order it. I suggested he could show me what he had in stock and maybe we could find something similar, I really needed a car right away. He took me to the parking lot and pointed at about 4 Clubmans parked outside which I was not able to open or really see. As we walked back inside he asked me where I was from and I said I had just moved from Puerto Rico after accepting a job offer in Orlando as a physician. He reacted by saying I probably didn't have credit in Florida and that I might need a cosigner to make a purchase. This was REALLY confusing because I'm a homeowner with outstanding credit (790). He proceeded to ask if I had a Social Security number, not if I knew my number, rather if I had one. I had never been asked this before so my face turned into disbelief. At this point I was already annoyed at his inattentive behavior but I let him run my credit. It came back with that 790 score I mentioned earlier and things got a little friendlier. He had mentioned they could exchange vehicles with Daytona but never sat to show me any of their options, I mean, show me pictures and try to sell. Well, the next day I was on the road and on my way to MINI at Wesley Chapel and now I have a car. I did send a feedback e-mail to the person who made the appointment at Orlando MINI and I'm yet to get a response. No apologies needed here now, "we're sorry you had this bad experience with us but..." was due when I sent them that feedback e-mail. I went to have my new mini serviced last week. My service writer was an awesome lady named Tiffany and she was so nice and informative. She helped with my tires and oil change and explained everything to me in great detail and didn't talk to me like I was just another customer. Everything was prompt and efficient and she got my car back to me as quickly as possible while keeping me updated on the progress throughout AND had it washed for me! I've had nothing but good experiences with Mini including purchasing my car from there as well. First, if you are looking to buy a Mini, please reconsider. I have never owned a vehicle with more problems then the one I have. I genuinely wish that I had spoken to more people and done more research; I would not be in the stressful situation that I am now. Second, if you do decide to get a Mini, consider taking it to another place for service because this place is awful. My mini breaks down about every 3-5 months so I have had to come often to their service department. I always walk out with the problem temporarily fixed or not fixed at all. How does a professional look you in the face and say "I don't know why you lost pressure in your brakes and half the fluid is gone but it seems fine now; just come back if it happens again." Seriously? I DONT KNOW. It's a phrase that rolls off easily for them. Like when they told me I don't know why your windshield had that huge crack in it or I don't know how those grease and scratch marks that goes from one end of the bumper to other got there... Is there any way I could pick up my car and it NOT be in worst condition then when I left it? I DONT KNOW. UPDATE! Guess who's car broke down five days after bringing it to Orlando Mini for service for the same problem? Mine! You weren't really surprised were you? What was the best part of bringing the car back? The rude service! How hard is it to say "thank you", "your welcome", or even "I'm sorry this is happening, we will definitely make it right"? I was treated as an annoyance where the service manager would not even address me or even look at me. Wow! If you don't want to deal with problems like these then there is a very simple solution: fix the car. Treating your paying customers like enemies when you make mistakes is really not the way to go, either! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Hubby and I are visiting from Texas and decided to do some research on a new Mini Countryman S. We popped in and a salesman greeted us..wish I had gotten his name, but I didn't... So I will describe him for any of his managers that may read this. He was tall and skinny..brown hair...and an all around A-hole..in fact we will refer to him as A.H. Do you remember the experience Julia Roberts' character had in Pretty Woman with the snobby upscale store that refused to serve her..yeah...huge mistake! Like I said, we stopped in to do some research and test drive a new Countryman... A.H. greeted us and we asked for Larry Taylor (the manager who was referred to us from sweet Andrew at Fiat)...A.H. Asked if we had an appointment, and we explained that we were doing research and that Andrew had sent us....we waited....and waited...and AH came back and says this, "Larry will be out in a little while...but I'm a salesman and I'm assuming you are going to buy in Texas..and I get paid on commission, so if I help you and I don't make a sale I don't get paid...you understand?". So he refused to tell us anything about the car...refused to even offer to let us look. He then came back around the corner where we took it upon ourselves to look at the Countryman in the showroom, and said, " its started raining and no one is going to want to get out in that for you to test drive". Rudest experience I've ever had at any dealership. This guy should be fired. read more
