I needed to purchase a replacement key for my Mini. I pepaid the $700.00 fee (approx) and picked up the key last week. There is no hook to put the key on a key chain, nothing. apparently paying $700.00 gets you the casing but not an actual full key that any normal person could use. WTF Mini, how do you expect me to carry this thing. One set of keys and the stupid fob in another pocket??? Called parts and was told in so many words, sorry, it sucks to be you. I gave a 1 star because a star must be given. This dealership's service department seriously took advantage of an elderly couple. Told them repeatedly that one thing or another would fix the Mini Cooper S to the tune of more than 7k and the car- still not road worthy- and they were told "oh it needs valves/heads" - and a few more thousand dollars- for a 2013 Mini that is worth maybe 4k. Great first experience at Orlando MINI. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon because we'd been thinking about a MINI convertible for our 2nd vehicle. Was helped by Elizabeth Ferguson who showed us our options. Didn't take long since we quickly learned that finding a MINI convertible (new OR used) isn't all that easy... Despite the low inventory, the first one we saw was pretty much all I could have asked for. Great color w/ bonnet stripes, black wheels, and an upgraded sound system. I was a little taken aback at the price since it was a 2018, but a quick comp of other vehicles confirmed those suckers really hold their value so while I was able to get them to knock $500 off, that was the best I was gonna get. So while I didn't plan on buying the first one I saw, I fell hard and fast for my little convertible and took her home. The whole process was easy and painless. Brittany did our financing and she was a pleasure to work with. things started ok, I needed a battery, oil change, and the timing chain inspected because my Mini has 92000 miles. I left the vehicle overnight to ensure plenty of time to get things done. The timing chain was in good order and the other service items completed. As we left the dealership the " ck engine" lite came on so we returned. apparently one of the connectors had not been properly installed. once fixed we continued home. I reviewed the paper work to find they used a W0-30 oil for the oil change ( a 92000 mile car in warm weather climate needs 5-30 ). I was never asked what I would prefer. How ever my call back to the shop I was advised this is the only oil they use. The car remained in the driveway overnight where residual oil from the MX leaked on my new driveway . Over all I am not as pleased as I could have been. I do not like to do or redo. yes the work was done but it could have been better. read more

I am grateful and pleasantly surprised that I received a refund of the money charged from my last, disappointing repair visit.

And here we are simple repairs gone OH SO WRoNG! Replace Catalytic converter, Replace Ignition switch. DID not replace any of sensors. So car still runs like crap. RETURN car to Dealer.. Order New Sensors but wrong ones. You'd think tech would double check?! The woes of getting my mini sorted right have gone from BAD to just y'all suck! NO communication, Failure to complete diagnostic repairs ( only fix the codes that showed on first scan) Now they hold my car hostage and scam me out of even more money! Run from the service Dept at this location as it appears they can't build a wet paper bag. Shame to for my results in the past where acceptable. For the amount of money spent to get things sorted proper I'd been better off to do the work at home and DIY . Moving forward will use the recommended Independent Shops that actually know what they are doing. Shame on you MINI And another call from service rep. Part did not arrive today.. (SAD excuse) 2 weeks to fix issues that could have been covered in at most 2 days... So many lines of BS to the customer. A lot of lip service but results... what a joke! Knocking my review down to one star because we continue to have communication problems and lies. It turns out that Orlando Mini can't get a stock part for our broken radio, which they had assured us the first time we visited they fixed. Our warranty for our car is up in a few days. The warranty company suggested mini Give them a call before the warranty is up to start a claim, and then whenever the part comes in, it will still be covered by the warranty. We spoke with our service advisor Adante on Friday who ASSURED us he would call that day. Today, Tuesday, we called the warranty company - he never called. We are literally trying to call Mini this moment and it just rings, and rings, and rings. No one answers about half the time. The other half when we have spoken with someone, they keep saying "he will call you back" but he never does. So to recap: - radio was going out in May 2021. They said they fixed it. They did not, it kept going out. - service advisor Adante said reach out to him directly before our next visit so he can have a loaner car ready. - emailed multiple times in June or July, took more than 40 days to get an answer. - ended up booking online because we never got a response to an appointment where they'd have a loaner ready. - no loaner on next visit. - got a call that our car was ready. On receipt, no work was done, they verified the radio was broken, and they can't get us another one. They told us none of this on the phone and we expected to arrive to a fixed radio. - they lied about calling our warranty company (they never did as promised on Friday last week, nor over the weekend, nor yesterday, nor today). - they never tell you when the car will be ready. - expect delays - they don't answer the phone or emails Avoid at all costs. Also, they have our number and know which car this is, but they keep replying they'll reach out and never do. You never know what you are getting into the first time at any auto shop. We took our 2009 Mini Cooper to be serviced at Orlando Mini for the first time last week and were so glad that we chose them. The car was towed in because of an overheating problem. Shortly after we arrived, the car was on the rack and they found the problem. Then they brought me into the shop and showed me what they found. I was out of the place in about 45 minutes in a loaner! The car was ready the next day (I had them replace the original clutch) and all was done. Tiffany, the service advisor, was exceptional. They had set it aside, not put it in the system, and forgot about it. Took them about a month to get the issue diagnosed. I took my 2006 Mini Cooper S to this dealership on the afternoon of July 13, 2017 for service on the 14th. When I made the appointment with the service advisor, Tiffany, I explained that one of the services I needed was a replacement ignition key. She said it would have to be ordered and they come in next day. I asked if it could be ordered on the day I dropped the car off so it could be received in time for me to pick the car up on the 15th and she said it would not be an issue. When I arrived on the 13th, Tiffany was not there because of a personal matter, so I dealt with the service manager, Anthony, who advised me that what Tiffany told me was wrong. The key could not be received that quickly and I would need to leave the car for when the key arrived to have it synced. On the 14th, I received a call from Tiffany to discuss the service needs for the car and the key issue. She told me she could ship the key to me when it came in on Monday, July 17, 2017, and she could walk me through syncing the key over the phone. On July 21, 2017, having still not received the key, I called Tiffany to inquire. She said she would look into the matter and call me back. I never received that call. On July 25, 2017 I called the dealership and asked for Anthony. He informed me the key arrived late in the day on Friday the 21st. He did not have an answer for why it didn't ship out that day or even on Monday the 24th. I asked Anthony not to ship the key since my wife would have the car and be near the dealership this afternoon, which is 40+ miles away. Anthony said he would get the new key synced right away when she arrived. Upon arrival at the dealership Anthony said the key would not sync and likely the reason the new and old key would not sync is an issue with the receiver in the rear view mirror. I asked for a quote to replace it. While waiting for the quote I asked my wife to go to the parts department to inquire about a price for a replacement antenna base. I believe the price given was $128 which is more than 35% over list price according to the MINI online parts website. Anthony then returned with the quote for the mirror and that was $280 without installation. This is 25% over list price according to the MINI online parts website. I will now order both parts with shipping from another MINI dealership, that sells for 10% over invoice, for less than the cost of the mirror from Anthony and the Orlando MINI dealership. Thankful I have no further need or desire to do business with this dealership. Back to the locally owned auto repair centers that appreciate a hard earned dollar being spent with them. read more

Do NOT get your car serviced at the Mini dealer in Orlando! I went in because of a check engine light, and I am not from the area so I didn't have a local mechanic. They quoted me $2000 in repairs! They wanted me to get a whole new thermostat unit (including a fully operational water pump, etc), AND recommended four new spark plugs and coils. I had new spark plugs 1.5 years ago. Coils are not maintenance items. In the mechanics video he stated I only needed one coil, but when I received the write up it noted four! When I questioned why the mechanic stated I only needed one and I had new spark plugs 1.5 years ago there was no response! Needless to say, I left without getting any work done. The light is off and the car (2015 Roadster) is working perfectly. Incidentally, a german auto care place in Leesburg quoted me $500 vs $1200 for thermostat repairs. Please look around--don't get ripped off there! read more

We didn't buy our Mini here, but it's our closest place to be serviced. From the moment we talk to the receptionist on the phone to the minute we walked into the service area, everything was clean and everyone was polite and accommodating. Is a good size waiting area, free 5G Wi-Fi, free coffee with tremendous flavors, pastries, water, and ice cream!!! Oil change was done in about an hour and they rotated are tires also for a few extra bucks which is always a great idea. And to top it off we got a complimentary Car Wash and it looks beautiful. Fast, friendly, and reliable service. What else can you ask for? Will definitely be back to Orlando mini we're all of our mini service. Great job guys! read more

My mini has no lights, turn signals, hazards or working windows and the part is under warranty but on back order for a month. I was told by the service manager and general manager that they only give loaner vehicles to people who have purchased their car at the dealership. If I don't live miles away from any Mini Dealership, I would NEVER go to Field's Orlando Mini. We bought our mini from Orlando Mini in April 2010. The SALES experience was ridiculous, they aregued over $100 in trade in value and at the end of the negotiation requested us to give them 10 points (full marks) for them satisfying the customer (us). They had the car in for 5 days, as I live quite a ways away was not able to take delivery till the weekends. The car wasn't ready for me when I arrived. I ordered black rims and they had silver ones on from factory and did not check to make sure the car was to spec. (I custom ordered mine) Service (Disservice): We had a warning light came on and arranged to bring the car in for service, per their Field's Matters they were suppose to offer us service loaners and we found out that we HAD to request for that and according to how busy they are, they may NOT have a loaner. So, I am DRIVING TWO CARS over 90 MILES for one car to be SERVICED because they can't accomodate THEIR own PROMISES? Oh, I am sure, they want a 10 for their satisfying their customers on their service request I think when I'm done with this Mini, I will not buy another mini anymore. This is my second mini, and I had more issues wtih their customer service being more ENTITLED than their customers. It pains me to write this, as I work in advertising; businesses' successes continue to grow more and more reliant each day on their online reputations. I don't relish being an individual that takes to the Internet to express my outrage, much as I help my own clients protect their own reputations from cyber-vitriol. However, what could have been chalked up to an honest mistake--from both sides--today, out of nowhere, became essentially (directed by the dealership to my wife and I), "You're more trouble than you're worth. We won't make enough money off of you. Here's a refund. Go about your life." I was seething. In spite of apology after apology by salespeople in the dealership last night, I never lost it. I never raised my voice. I was conciliatory even. Again, an honest mistake on both sides. But today's dismissive, cavalier attitude on the part of the dealership, I wasn't expecting. And I won't name the salesperson, because I do truly believe he was sorry, but in the end was forced to be the mouthpiece for the dealership management. All the same, I recall my days in an earlier career; the training was to say "no" only when necessary, and that when it was said, you were to offer customers the best alternative. Instead, with Orlando MINI, it wasn't, "Let us help you find another car." It was, "Go away." The past 24 hours have been frustrating. My left shoulder--no exaggeration--is currently tied in a knot. And the anger I felt earlier today is now compounded with disappointment, anxiety, and--physically--a headache from the aggregate of the day's challenges. So, of course, I cannot more wholeheartedly implore anyone living in the Orlando metro to steer clear of Orlando MINI. Not only have they assured themselves of my wife and I never buying a car there in the future, but they've locked in the same assurance for all of their owner-affiliated dealerships. I know that won't matter to them, but my hope is that if you do consider purchasing a car there, you will think twice. Just like many years ago when BMW then and now has a pretentious UN-FUN attitude it is clear to me that this dealer is BMW not the Mini I have grown to love in a short time. I tried to share the joy of roadtripping with MINI but only one person got it. The rest were just annoyed and judgmental of my enthusiasm. This week I purchased my first MINI, a Cooper S all in British Racing Green II. I tend to purchase new vehicles every two to three years, and while I don't pretend to like purchasing a car, this was by far the best experience overall. I was exiting a BMW 328i lease and wanted a car with as much pick-up and drive, but much better fuel economy. I visited the dealership five months before my lease-end to test drive the Cooper S. Jim L. is my sales rep and on a very busy Saturday, took me for a test drive knowing immediately I wasn't going to be purchasing a car that day. He instantly recognized my needs and what I was looking for, explained the ordering process, and NEVER pushed me to order a car. I left feeling not only incredibly informed about the product, but also that both Jim and Orlando MINI were conscientious of their customers. Three months later, I contacted Jim about ordering my first MINI, knowing the 2012s would be shipped after July. I had already customized my car with all the creature comforts of a 50-mile round-trip daily commute. After about an hour, I had ordered my car and the next business day received a production number. Joyfully, I checked-in on the progress of my new ride through the Owners site. Much to my surprise, my ride entered and exited production ahead of schedule and arrived state-side in less than 30 days. The phone call announcing my new wheels were here in Central Florida was exciting. A few days later, I dropped of my leased 328i and was taken across I-4 to Orlando MINI. I explained to Jim throughout the purchase process that I didn't want to "make a day" out of buying my new car. EVERYTHING was quick, painless, and smooth. I had my financing, monthly payment, docs completed, tag transferred, and MINI education session in less than an hour and rolled off the lot in no time. This has been by far the best purchasing process of any of my five vehicles I've bought. I would highly recommend not only the car, but this particular dealership. I have been coming to Orlando MINI for a few years now. When I first moved to the area they were the only people I trusted, and have pretty much stayed that way up until recently. Now I am starting to wonder if I'm naive and foolish for thinking that. Some of the people who work in the service department are nice, but recently they have been very unreliable. Quoting how long the work will take and then it taking WAY longer is the biggest problem I have. I genuinely mean this when I say it; EVERY time I have gotten work done here I have been told it will just take an hour, and then it takes over 4. I've been here at least 10 times. After typing that out I have realized that I am actually naive and foolish as mentioned earlier. Even the times where only one part had to be fixed/replaced and I asked to not have my car washed have taken that long. There's always some excuse, almost always it's "rusted bolts" which is amazing considering how frequently that supposedly happens. It's also incredible how long it takes them to deal with that considering how often it happens. If it's just taking awhile, tell me. I don't need an excuse or explanation that you think will appease me. If you're busy and it's probably going to take 4+ hours, tell me when I ask upon arriving. If you're short staffed and it's going to take awhile for them to start on my car, tell me. The way they lie so often about this has made me think that they're scammed me before and lied to me about parts and services I got.... I won't be coming here again as I can't stand to wonder any longer if I'm an idiot for giving them so much of my money. They get three stars for three reasons; facility is nice, the testing service/videos they send of your inspection are very helpful, and the sunbit payment option they have is very easy and helpful. I'm a bit sad to have to find somewhere else I'm comfortable with but this place is WAY too expensive to be taken advantage of! read more

Parts department sold fraudulent parts and then stole my parts and receipt. I bought a trunk latch for my mini here while i was getting an oil change in November. Then I stupidly failed to put in on until 2 months later at which time I discovered it was the wrong part (even though i gave them my VIN number). Ok no problem but since the dealership is an hour away i waited until my next oil change to talk to them about it (and of course forgot to bring it with me). The service writer was cery helpful and pulled the parts guy (who sold it to me out) and we talked about it and the parts man said he would trade it out with the right part even tho i threw out the box, great I thought, good customer service...wrong. So on my next oil change (today) i took the part and the original receipt with me and talked to my same service writer (who remembered the whole thing). But apparently the parts guy didn't remember any of that. So I explained it to him (totally being nice especially since he was doing me a favor for auch a late return) and he completely changed his tune from our last conversation and then said "thats not their part" he took it into the back room for a few minutes then came out and said they never sold me that part and that it was not even made by mini cooper??? I told him well thats what came out of the box you sold me and he said no the part number on my receipt is the right one (basically implying im trying to defraud him somehow because I apparently have a ton parts layong around that i like exchanging for mini parts??). So when I explained all that he said just said no but ill sell you a new one, which i had to do because again mines broken. And then he said well you can maybe sell it online in a mini forum or something. And im thinking, if im gonna sell it in a mini forum then its because it "is" a part for a mini then?? Also i looked around at the old minis out back and thats what it is for (identical to the 05ish minis trunk latches). So now i spent $144.00 for a "fake/wrong" part there and then another $130.00 for the right one. PLUS he asked me if my car was there, if so he could throw the new part in my backseat for me. I told him yea and also asked him to throw the old part receipt in there too. Well turns out he kept both my "old" part AND receipt. Super shady if you ask me and i bet someone else ends up buying that part again. Both my wife and i have minis, and we are both buying news (i was going to buy a jcw mini today after my oul change because i have already sold mine to my neighbor and was just getting this last oil change done so I could get the right part for her and install it). Then my wife was going to get a new all4 countryman next month. But there is no way we going to buy $40,000 cars there when they are willing to pull shady stuff like this over a $140.00 part. I would have totally understood if he would have just said i waited to long to return or i needed the original box (which shouldn't have mattered because it sounds like it was the wrong part in there anyway). But when he tells me they never sold that part to me and that its not even their part (meaning they fraudulently sold me a fake part claiming it was a real oem part). Then something is wrong. Beware of Fields auto group (they own orlando mini and bmw) this is what they are doing. And its a shame too because we got our previous minis there and were set to buy new ones but no longer. read more

Took my daughters mini in to get her keys programmed but they were not able too, however they did notify me of a recall her car had for the power steering pump and did the recall. Dante was my service adviser and had the tech inspect the car entirely. Glad they did, if not I would have never known how bad the water pump was. I used to be a tech when I was putting myself through college. And have all my tool and did it myself. But I'm grateful for the professionalism Dante and Orlando Mini extended to me. we bought the tire service and the dent repair services when we purchased our mini clubman. After a whole year, they stills don't have the paint for the repairs (it is not an-unusal color, pearlized grey). about the dent service they only provide it on Friday from 2-5, and the tire repair from 10-11 on Thursdays! read more

My girlfriend has owned a 2007 Mini Cooper S exclusively since the day it rolled off the lot. She is a very easy on the vehicle in contrast to myself as I am more aggressive on my cars. This Mini, and the ownership that comes with it, has been a bit of a learning experience for me as I have only ever owned American or Japanese manufacturers. When a service is needed or something needs repairs, I never settle for anything other than the manufacturer's service departments to insure that the vehicle is serviced by experienced and knowledgeable mechanics that are familiar with all the nuances a vehicle may have. I will NEVER go to the Jacksonville, FL Mini Service station again as nearly all the service that has been provided was slow on implementation, misdiagnosed (for over a year), communication skills to the customer borderline disrespectful and finally difficult to coordinate around a very ridiculous schedule. (Mechanics with bankers hours practically!) Orlando Mini was a breath of fresh air almost immediately with our service liason Adante Cameron. I unfortunately have HORRIBLE scheduling, do not always get across all of my concerns in one call due to unforeseen circumstances or request additional information as a service progresses. Adante answered "ALL" or "RETURNED" every voice mail that was left with him about our service visit. I can place our call quantity around 4-8 calls in one afternoon over the span of 3-5 hours. Every call I made revolved around service cost quotation and updates, mechanical knowledge and alternative perspectives regarding the service options available and finally education regarding Mini specific mechanical issues. EVERY TIME I talked with him he provided me an answer that satisfied my concerns and was also a correct assessment regarding the vehicle as opposed to the Jacksonville Service Team's diagnoses. If it were not for Adante and his coordination with his mechanic servicing my girlfriend's Mini (I truly wish I could remember his name to give him credit as well), her engine would have literally blown up. Those of you that are not familiar with engines and mechanical function, please find someone to trust, and I find this dealership to be that place. This engine's timing chain was on the verge of breaking and had been misdiagnosed as, "Requiring more oil", for over a year. The charges for labor and parts for a task like this is indeed not cheap per se, but had this part failed while the vehicle was driving at highway speeds, it would be an entirely new engine, and not a simple part replacement as had been executed there at the Orlando Mini Service Department. So for this initial engagement where I became more involved with communicating with this Mini Service Department, I say thank you to Adante and his associates for saving my girlfriend's car from a very costly misdiagnosis. I will always make the drive from Saint Augustine, FL to Orlando, FL from now on to have this vehicle serviced. read more
