We chatted briefly, he nailed down some foreign language details which you'd want from tattoo artist so you're informed and not getting wrong language. The most important thing if you're getting tattood, is Jim nailed the tattoo and concept. Really good artist. My husband also overhead a conversation between the front desk person and my artist regarding the pricing of my tattoo, and overhead the front desk person being surprised at how high my tattoo was priced. I am not sure if it was because I mentioned we were from California and tattoos are pricy out here, but it didn't sit well with me after hearing of the conversation. I got a tattoo from Jacqui Rose about a year and a half ago. She was instrumental in helping me design the tattoo and trying to make my image come to life. I would say we worked back and forth on the tattoo for maybe 3 months? Possibly even more? I really appreciated the amount of time she dedicated to my tattoo and I felt like with that extra time, I fell even more in love with the tattoo and its design. (On the same day she also added some stars and moons to my rib tattoo, which I love!) I also love that I got a little bit of her signature when she offered to add a flower to my tattoo and she used a lot of dot work, which I think she is also somewhat known for. Looking at the tattoo now, those are two of my favorite elements of my tattoo! On the day I got my tattoos, I came in by myself and Jacqui was immediately so so nice. The tattoo has a lot of line work and a lot of darkness, so it would have been easy to have slopey lines or to blow out some of the dark areas, but her lines were so so straight and she didn't blow out any of my tattoo. I am really happy with how the tattoo came out; it was fairly quick and pretty painless. Jacqui also had a conversation with me while she was tattooing which made me even more comfortable. The price was really fair for the quality of what she provided. I have since recommended her and her new shop to many of my friends, some of whom have received tattoos from her shop and absolutely loved them.
