** Fireplace Service/Repair Review ** Outstanding customer service and technical knowledge! Our gas fireplace hadn't worked properly for an extended period. On Friday, November 15 (2024), I called Orley's and was scheduled for an appointment in early December. To my surprise, I received a call a week later stating an opportunity was available and Dan could come by that day and fix the problem, and I readily agreed! Upon arrival, Dan repaired/replaced the ignitor, but a problem with the gas valve remained. Due to the age of the unit, he didn't have the component with him, but believed he may have had one at the shop. Although a new part wasn't available, a compatible valve was on hand and could be installed at a later time. After some conversations, Matt and Tammy very graciously agreed to come by after the close of business that evening, and replaced the valve! Our fireplace runs like new, and our living room was nice and toasty that weekend to spend time together as a family. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Orley's for your fireplace repair needs! read more

I purchased a Dream maker spa from orleys April of 2021..At this time spas were hard to find i order it out a catolog 7500.00 finance it .well it took until may 2022 to get.They did tell me up front it might tske 6 months.im one to complain but i cant make this up.when it got deliverd in may it came eith a cabana the person never installed one .so my Husband tried to put that together.The cover is ripping a light is out i have not had this 1 year They said the date of purchase is when the warranty starts It wasnt even made yet? I said well thats not right.He said thats why there not sellinh these spas It dont matter what i spent Orlrys dont care!!! We went in the store hoping to get answers about our Catalina swim spa. The fellow at the counter seemed really put off and irritated with our questions. He said Catalina quit making swim spas years ago and you can't get parts for them. We did purchase a small tubes of silicone hoping it will stop the leaks. My folks bought the swim spa 7 years ago and paid around $17,000. It felt like the people at this store are more into making a sale than giving customer service. It really irritated me because I worked for a spa company for years (quite a few years ago). We would have been fired with that attitude. Stay away! read more

Short with answers, difference of pricing from one sales guy to the next, different timing of availability, uninterested in what you are looking for, etc.. Found a different CalSpa dealer up north who definitely answered questions and was more professional. Placed order. Orley's is no good from the time you walk in the door. Don't waste your time. Went on a Tuesday and was ready to purchase a tub at a fixed price. Went back two days later and they drove up the price by 800 dollars. They blamed our national epidemic (Corona). Orley's you get no love. I drove to Klamath falls and was able to get the tub at the price I wanted. Orley's will treat you terrible. Guaranteed. My husband and I were looking for a Rais fireplace insert, which is crafted in Denmark and very high end. We went to Orley's to see if they carried it or could order it. The service was nothing short of rude. I mean rude, rude, RUDE. We left -- and will not go back EVER. Thankfully, my brilliant husband noticed Smokey's Stoves right Delta Waters Road so we went there and had ansolutely excellent service. Bought two beautiful Regency gas inserts, one for our great room and one for our garden room. We spent a lot to get what wd wanted -- and we're super-happy. read more

Service technicians were early, professional, and thorough. Justin was very informative and had options of what could be done with my existing fireplace insert unit. We went in to purchase a Ravelli stove and, as another reviewer mentioned, none of the employees were wearing masks. Nope nope nope. We'll purchase elsewhere. Now that Orley's decided to charge a whopping 3.5% credit card we will gladly take our business elsewhere. When I called to ask why they started adding this fee I was told it was due to cost increases. I told them they needed to let their customers know about their credit card fees and they said it's posted on their door and at the register. I told them they also need to remind people at the register because most of us not only do not stop to read notices on store entrance doors or at the registers unless their flashing neon and voice activated! We could have easily written a check or paid cash. Orley's would be far better off to adjust their pricing to include increased costs instead popping it on their customer's at check out! No one ever expects this because it's extremely rare! This is not how you treat your customers!! read more

I would actually call my experience negative star... I paid $11,300 for a spa on May 1, 2021 and was told it would be delivered "at the latest" by October 15, but , "I'm sure it will be way sooner than that" by the salesperson, Brad. Fast forward to September, when I made a few calls to check status, every time with a different story and always a promise to call me back with an eta, which NEVER happened. In October, after the alleged drop dead delivery date, I called again and was told the spa was "here, and just needed to be inspected." Not true. I called again in early November and someone named Dano answered and told me that he would take care of me as he is responsible for all scheduling and inventory. He promised to call me when my spa was actually available, indicating manufacturing was behind because of COVID, which I accept. To his credit, at least he did call back as promised and said he would call when my spa arrived in Medford to coordinate delivery. On Friday, November 19, Dano called stating they could deliver Sunday, November 21. I have an obligation that prevents my availability that day, and asked about weekdays the following week. I was told that California law prohibits deliveries on weekdays, which I find odd. At that point, I was asked if they could deliver when I was not home on Sunday, which I declined. The conversation got more and more tenuous, but eventually the idea of delivering today, Saturday, November 21 was raised. Dano said he had to check with his guys, but would call back- he did and told me that they can only accept cash and that the window was between 3-5 pm today, Saturday,, November 21. I agreed to that and confirmed via text and telephone, thanking them for accommodating me. I waited at home during the entire 3-5pm window... I had been told I would be notified "when they were on their way." I texted and called between 4-4:15 just to confirm that the delivery was still happening, with no answer. At 6:15, Dano called as if all was in order and said that they were " just loading up my hot tub and will be there in a couple of hours..." I stated that it was pitch dark out and that I was not comfortable receiving and placing an expensive item without being able to see what was going on, or the ability to inspect the spa. Dano got short with me (code for rude) and asked if I was "refusing the delivery?.. also stating, " don't have time to argue. I am late, but if you don't take this today, we will.see you at the end of December, at best case... I'll just tell them you refused" I had heard great things about Orleys, but have not experienced anything positive after May 1, 2021 when I paid IN FULL for a spa. Worst communication and service I have ever experienced buying a larger item in my life. Perhaps the owner would care to discuss this transaction- I have no confidence in a positive ending at this point, but am thankful that I paid using American Express, which affords me some buyer protection. COVID caused supply chain delays are real, but horrible service and attitude is unacceptable. read more

We felt so unsafe in the store, masks were not being worn. Then, the delivery of our spa was delayed by months. We were lied to multiple times over the phone about the process and timing of delivery. Then when the spa was finally able to be delivered, we received no advanced notice. This means we could not schedule anything with our electrician, so now our spa will sit unused for another month. Worst experience ever. We will not be purchasing from them again and we recommend you go anywhere else besides them if at all possible! read more

This place has got some major price gauging going on. They wanted a 1,000 bucks for the pump we needed for our above ground pool. First, we didn't even pay that much for our pool and two, we found the same exact pump at another Local pool store for 375 bucks. That's a savings of 625 dollars, they also wanted 45 bucks for a simple 6ft hose which we got the same one at this other store for 8 bucks. Unless you enjoy throwing money away, check out other pool stores in the area. They're sooooooo much cheaper. They're prices are a joke read more

I went into Orley's and gave them my information some one in the store wrote it down and they stated they would call me to give me an estimate on an inspection for my fireplace and a wood stove. I never heard from them so I called back and they stated they don't insert fireplaces and they don't have my paperwork. I will be going somewhere else for a new fireplace. read more

My wife and I purchased a Dream Maker spa from Orley's in 2015. The pump has been replaced two times and has failed every time. The plastic filter lid and grille have cracked and broken. Orley's claims operator error and refuses to make it right. They employ incompetent people who know nothing about the products they sell and nothing about water chemistry. When they delivered the spa, they were extremely rude and unprofessional. When they came out to replace the pump, one of the guys failed to unclip the clips on the cover and broke all the clips off the cover. The list goes on. I gave them an opportunity to make it right and change the story I tell about Orley's and Dream Maker spas, but they're bad business people that put the customer second. I'm sorry to say that I will never do business with Orley's again. read more

The absolute Rudest employee on the planet! We purchased our wood stove insert, spending quite a bit of money, at Orleys. A year or two later the fan stopped working so we stopped by while we were in town to pick up a new switch, which they said they carried per my call a day or two earlier. We walked into the store and approached the man at the counter. He was a tall, sandy haired man with glasses. Maybe in his 40's. My husband Very politely asked where we might find the switch. BUYER BEWARE of ORLEYS AND CATALINA SPAS! Catalina Spa's whom are sold by Orley's stoves and spas have manufacturing defects and Catalina will not fix even if your spa is in warranty. Only gave it 1 star as there is not any lower star rating. They are a negative rating! For the amount of money you spend for a Catalina spa, Catalina should make it right and actually fix the defects that are their fault!. If the spa has manufacturing defects such as the acrylic blistering, which is what mine is doing, Catalina should cover manufacturing defects! When I first called the distributor in Medford Or, Orley's spa, whom I purchased my spa from brand new, told me it must have gotten hot in the sun and not been covered, but my spa has always had a cover on it and is on a enclosed porch since I purchased it new from Orley's. Orley's delivered it and put it on the enclosed porch where I had a licensed electrician hook it up. And I have had it covered and filled all the time I have owned it. So...after contacting Orley's several times and sending them pictures etc....Orley's contacted Catalina and a week later after not hearing anything, When I called Orley's the girl I spoke with said Catlina had been sold and purchased by someone else so Catalina was saying that they did not make that particular spa because the present owner did not own Catalina when that spa was made so they will not cover it. What???? As far as I am concerned whoever purchased the name Catalina purchased the rights and purchased both good and bad of those. And so they should honor that and back the name!!!! They kept the name, they still make my exact same model of spa! I also emailed Catalina, and their response took another week or so in which they told me that spa's only blister within the first year, which is not true and I emailed them back, sent pictures of both the spa and the enclosed porch it is on. I did not hear from them for over 3 weeks and when I did hear from them they said they will cover the gel but not the labor. After 5 weeks we were finally able to get a quote from the one person that fixes these in the area. The labor is $750.00 the acrylic is $100.00. And while the repairman quoted $850.00 for the project, his quote has in writing on the bottom that it could be more than what is quoted????? What???? AND the Blistering can continue!!!! I asked him if more blisters will come up and he said it is quite likely, very possible. It is a manufacturing defect, there is air that got caught when they put the acrylic on when they were making the spa. Catalina spa's are not cheap to purchase, the cost of a cheap brand new car, but what I have found is they are not made properly and have manufacturing defects which leads to problems down the line. If it were a car with the defects in manufacturing there would be a recall on it and they would have to fix, But since it is not a car and is a Spa you are at the mercy of an unscruplous, deceiving company. Between Catalina and Orley's I got so much runaround and now it has been 6 weeks since I first contacted them. I would never buy another Catalina spa and will never purchase anything from Orley's and I will tell everyone I know to stay away from Catalina and Orley's because neither one backs their products!.One sells them and one makes them and they should back their products for the money they charge!!!! I highly recommend STAYING AWAY from Catalina Spas and Orelys Spas who sell them in Medford, Oregon! They do not back their product! I had the best experience with Orley's! 9 mos. ago I bought a woodstove there, intending to use it in the dream house my fiance and I were building. I ended the engagement, it was a nasty breakup and I had a woodstove that I couldn't use. Embarrassed and in tears I explained my situation to the asst. Mgr. at Orley's, really not expecting much after almost a year. But to my surprise, they gave me a refund and even reduced the restocking fee. AND I got a hug from the salesman, asst. Horrible and over priced is the only words I can think to describe orley's. I made the mistake of going in to look for a new fireplace when doing a remodel. Well my wife and I left after having a guy tell us what we needed to get instead of what we were looking for. Again I made the mistake of going in recently to buy a smoker brand they carry. They were able to order what I wanted but when I came to pick the item five minutes before closing time they all but ran me off with pitch forks and a mob. Since they had no accountability for the rude and unprofessional behavior I will drive hours to go to another dealer that carries the brand I want next time. read more

Love the way staff prioritize health and safety with sanitation and personal protective gear. We purchased a hot tub from them a year ago, and it still looks brand new. They were timely, very responsive, and it was well-priced! We absolutely love it and rave about it to our friends! I have several friends who have purchased both pools and stoves through Orley's, and they go back year after year for supplies. They get to know the sales people. One of my friends who purchased their largest pool told me their "guy" at Orley's hooked them up with all the things they needed! Another friend who purchased their medium sized pool told me the same thing - he goes to his "guy ---- at Orley's!" My parents-in-law just purchased the most beautiful pellet stove, and one day we hope to do the same! Do yourself a favor and go to Orley's! I was looking at buying a used wood stove with a couple cracks in it and called to ask about repair options. When I told the gentlemen about the make, model and asking price of the used stove he said that I better buy it today or he was going to buy it out from under me. He was laughing about it and saying that he wasn't joking and was looking on craigslist for it right then as we were talking. Condescending staff and way too over priced. Buy all you products on Amazon and save 75%. It doesn't matter how many times I go I there, I've never met a staff member that took the time to listen to what I'm saying. They cut me off, insist they know the answer, sell me something that doesn't work to clear up the pool. then when I go back, they change their minds, sell me something else (still refusing to test the water sample I bring each time which would probably be helpful to actually identifying the issue) and we do it again.
