Amazing seafood cicchetti! Lovely canal side seating near the old Jewish Ghetto. Attentive staff who are proud of their wares.

Here is a sopressa and radicchio panini-€5!!!

Great food and coffee and nice ambiance! We walked in to the ghetto area, and it was pretty quiet compared to the main tourist streets. They had a pretty long menu with different Panini's and pasta, but they were out of most of it. That was what made this place a 4 star restaurant instead of 5 stars. The sopressa and ham were both good and flavorful. I liked their zucchini on sandwiches as well. The coffee was strong and aromatic, and at a pretty cheap price, around €2 for a latte macchiato and a €1.50 for a caffe macchiato! Service was spotty since there was a language barrier.

Salami, Brie and rocket sandwich. €5 for a large. Delicious!

2 large sandwiches, 2 espressos, 2 Aperol Spritz= €20!! Food was very good and service was exceptional. English and French spoken by waiters. Good mix of locals and tourists. Grab a table outside on a sunny day along the canal. Highly recommend.

    Great cafe and great service

5 stars from us! Music was great, wine amazing and food just... oh my god! We had carbonara and…read morelasagna Bolognese and it was just the most tasteful! Highly recommend!

Tonight I ventured over to Osteria dei Sapori for dinner. I had walked past this place a few times…read moreover the last few days and finally decided to give it a try. Their outdoor seating area is spacious and every time I passed by it was packed. That's usually a pretty good sign that the food is worth the stop. Now one thing I still haven't found anywhere in Italy is good old Southern hospitality. I guess that's expected since I'm a long way from the good ole USA South. But I'm adjusting, and honestly I came here for the food, not warm welcomes and waiters calling me "darlin'." I ordered a Coca-Cola because as a certified water snob, I'm still searching for that magical glass of water over here. For dinner I ordered the Spaghetti allo Scoglio. Sounds fancy, right? If you know Italian, I'm sure it does. I was just thankful the menu also said "spaghetti with seafood" underneath it so I didn't accidentally order octopus eyeballs or something. When the dish hit the table it looked like Michelangelo himself had snuck into the kitchen and started plating pasta instead of painting ceilings. I grabbed the fork, rolled the pasta onto the spoon like a seasoned Italian for about three seconds, and took a bite. Bam. There it is boys. The best pasta dish I've had since touching down on this foreign land. The sauce was hot, creamy, and cooked to perfection. The seafood was fantastic and every bite was loaded with flavor. This dish absolutely hit the 5 mark for food quality. I'm giving the overall experience 4 stars because I had to ask for bread and they're still lacking that Southern hospitality touch. But the food was excellent, the outdoor seating was great, and this is definitely a place I may find myself back at again before leaving Venice.
