I love Oro! It's the best place for gifts and to treat yourself. They have such cute rings and a beautiful selection of vintage sterling pieces. The candles are amazing, too. I'm surprised at some of these reviews because the staff has always been so sweet and helpful. 10/10 thank you to the amazing workers here

This was a fun shop to browse. The crystals sell at a higher price point than other stores in the area and they don't seem to carry any tarot cards. It seems like they sell more crystals and decor. It's a beautiful shop though

This shop is so beautiful and I always find the best gifts for myself and my loved ones! Their staff is so kind and I always feel welcome and at ease to browse for as long as I want to and they are always happy to answer any of my questions. There have been multiple times they have gone above and beyond to make my jewelry dreams come true and make the most beautiful custom jewelry out of beautiful genuine gemstones and high quality metals. Their pieces are all reasonably priced as well. I love that they support so many women artists and that it is a women owned and operated business. Any time I need a gift or a new piece of jewelry they are my first stop! It also smells amazing in there! Highly recommend anyone from or visiting Portland to come here and support local art!

super cute and friendly staff! i particularly like their selection of bar soaps and pickles (when they have them). check your attitude at the door because Carlos the dog ain't taking no guff!

This is basically my favorite store in Portland. They have an amazing selection of new beautiful things every time I come in. I love that it's owned and operated by a Latina woman with a staff of amazing women. It's so welcoming inside and everyone is always incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely stop by if you haven't!

I love coming here to look at crystals and to admire the handmade jewelry. I've gotten a pair of earrings that were about $20 and I've also bought this beautiful Opal ring that was about $40-$50. They have great service. Usually saying hi to customers while they are coming in. I love the aesthetics of the store.

Rough rock and mineral specimens or polished slabs, shapes and spheres. Very knowledgeable owner. I think you call first so she can open the door for you. Beautiful old building, street parking not bad at all. Kinda rough old industrial neighborhood with bridges and lots of homeless folks camping about. Nothing serious at all. I think open till 7pm. So we called, we were told to show up, and to call again to enter as they lock the entrance. It's the other side of downtown, across the river, so it's pretty funky. But no problem! Expect street parking as well. Upon arrival, we called and waited outside, and less than 3 minutes later we entered. Its understandable that they let customers in this way as it's not the greatest of walkable neighborhoods. They've got a really great selection of rocks, crystals, and some fossils. I'm more into fossils than I am rocks/minerals. Pricing appears to be average to upper-average, but I'm not much of an expert as well tbh. I go for what looks 'pretty' and 'cool-looking' versus what's rare and cost more. "Amateurish" is the term for myself I guess lol! We did have good interactions with (I believe her name was) Taylor, who knew her stuff. Whatever we asked for, she knew where it was. I've been to about six other rock stores around Portland, but in comparison this place would be in the middle, about 4th best out of six, regarding what they have in stock. We'll be back someday.

There were several staff members circulating through the store and each one of them was determined to have a conversation with each of the customers. I found this distracting as I was trying to experience the energy of the crystals and am overall rather introverted. Despite my disinterest in conversation I had to repeatedly engage with additional staff members who wanted to show me the UV light on the stones, ask what I was looking for, talk to me about the store in general, the crystals in general, the reiki in specific, and comment on my way of selecting my stones. I don't really want to discuss my personal situation with strangers in a crowded store and the continual attempts to have long exchanges were draining to me. Is this a sales strategy? Because I definitely would have asked to see the moldavite behind glass if I hadn't already been talked out by the staff! Perhaps the store owners could employ sales training that is less aggressive and more consensual, and/or a way of communicating that a particular customer doesnt seem to want conversation. I wasn't going to leave a review but then I got an email from them - after being repeatedly assured that I wouldn't receive emails from them when I signed up for the customer rewards program. It's a little thing but the final straw for me in the pushy communication department. I'm sure this whole vibe works for lots of people but for a crystal savvy neurodivergent person it really could have gone better.
