I come here often I live up in Kelly Ridge and the service isn't that great to be honest they're not very friendly they're not clear there's never have a nice day there's never it'll be a couple minutes they just take your money and you stand around looking stupid today I ordered food and then I said can I have a little courtesy cup of ice or some water 75 cents you want to charge me for that after I just spent $30 he wants to charge me for a little cup of water while I wait just a little courtesy cup that's all I wanted oh 75 cents I thought that was terrible terrible for business if I was just somebody off the street asking for water they should still give you a crazy cup of water it's just good for business so like they say location location I think this business is in business primarily because there's nothing else up here as far as fast food goes and perhaps that's one of the few things they need a good idea about was to have it up here because I don't think it would be in great competition down there with the service the boots okay a little too salty sometimes it's a little scary when you go in you see the food sitting there with no covers over it and the flies all around and basically they just heat up your food for some of the meals prices are a little outrageous obviously 75 cents for a cup of courtesy water LOL that's it read more

I like eating their quesadillas with rice and beans with a nice cold coke and I like the people their and I love to come in the morning to have a bite after a bike ride up to the visitor center and down I like the crunch that come with the quesadilla with rice and beans. 2024: Still the best bet for street tacos, burritos and quesadillas. We have been going here for so many years and honestly, their food has consistently stayed so good. Always top quality & fast. 2023 UPDATE: Well, here it is, a couple years later and O.T. is still going strong. This place has become my ultimate favorite for carné asada street tacos. I have tried MANY others & have yet to find carné asada that is even remotely comparable. I have spent tons of time south of the border (T.J., Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo, Ensenada... all Baja California) and I can confidently say that the carné asada street tacos from Oroville Tacos are the closest thing to the ones I used to get down south! The carnitas is a close second. The guys who work there know my order and usually repeat it back to me before I even have to say a word. What can I say, I'm a creature of habit They are always, kind, generous and friendly. They recently answered my prayers & are open on Saturdays now (this might be a trial run to see how much business they get tho so don't come for me if they happen to not be open lol). 2021: After the pandemic stuff loosened up, I was so pleased that Oroville Tacos was still around! I went there to order dinner and everything came out perfect. While I was there, I guess they were in the process of cooking up a fresh batch of carné asada on the griddle and I can't tell you how GOOD it smelled! I decided that I HAD to try it next time (I usually go with the carnitas). When the gentleman brought my order out, he handed me a little package which, to my delight, contained a carné asada street taco...gratis! I was so impressed with the amazing flavor (not to mention the so very kind gesture), I ended up returning the same evening to order 4 more of those delicious street tacos. Let me tell you that we have tried street tacos ALL over Oroville & the surrounding areas and Oroville Tacos is, hands down, the best by FAR. So, just having moved to the area, I have been touring around Oroville and trying different spots. Toda I tried Oroville Tacos. Within like Oroville Tacos, I was hoping they would do tacos right. I ordered one of each of all of their tacos: 3" street corn taco, 6" soft corn taco, 6" crispy corn taco, 6" soft flour taco,6" crispy flour taco,6" fish taco, and 6" shrimp taco. First up was the fish taco. Super good. Charred fish, chopped with great seasoning on it. PLENTY of meat. I like mine a little more crispy but people that like fish will love this taco. Good stuff. The shrimp taco: again plenty shrimp. Definitely get your money's worth. diced onions, tomato, creme, green peppers. very good. Especially with their hot sauce. Almost perfection. I would like a little more sear on the shrimp but other than that, great. Crispy asada taco was pretty good. Pretty basic. Creme, Lettuce, meat, and a sort of salsa verde that almost hinges on avocado salsa. The meat has a fantastic season on it. no nonsense. awesome. Crispy Shredded pork. This one was pretty good. They definitely don't skimp on the meat here. It's a theme across all the tacos. With the amount of shredded meat on this one, was a little overwhelming due to the imbalance of other things on it. Creme, lettuce, a little guac. good flavor. Just alot of meat. The was seasoned well. I would have liked more salsa or creme on it The tortilla on the crispy tacos is amazing. so good. 3" street taco, carnitas. holy crap. the sauce on the meat of this taco is amazing. Immediately, hit me hard. so good. again, diced onion, cilantro. perfection, That's all it needs. Very good taco. 3" diced chicken taco. beautiful. cheese, onion, tomato, creme, soft cubed chicken meat. great stuff. All and all this was worth the drive and the money. I will definitely be passing up all the other taco spots for this one, in the future. I ordered everything mild with hot on the side. I definitely hit everything up with the hot. it was perfect. if you're in Oroville, skip all other taco places and make the drive. The only disappointment I have is in the pandemic. Only because I have to give them 1 star. The worst customer service all around! They are fast but rude!! They don't understand English very well. Oroville Tacos always get my order wrong! I never ever order carne asada at any establishment, and that's what they give me! I spend 25$ plus at oroville tacos and I brought my wrong order back. They argue, and tell me what I ordered. Got a carne asana taco lunch plate, and had horrible food poisoning! Some of the worst I've ever had. We went back to the establishment later in the day, as my boyfriend wanted to kindly give them a heads up so they were aware. The manager was rude and insisted I was sick from something else, and said that they've "never" had anyone sick from their food. I was curious and googled them to see if anyone else had food poisoning recently - and there it is on Google! A review from ONE week ago says a whole family got food poisoning! And then many others here on Yelp that have had food poisoning. Bummed that the manager didn't at least empathize with us, only denied it and was rude. We weren't looking to cause a scene or get a refund, we genuinely just wanted them to be aware. I would not recommend this place, folks. They're not kind, accountable, or willing to hear their customers. AND, apparently their food has to be multiple people food poisoning very recently. read more

This place sucks all around! The meat quality seems like they purchased their meat on a manager's special. How can this place even be considered a taco shop - it doesn't deserve the title. The workers act like they're doing you a favor by coming in. They rush you even when there's no other customers, are snappy, answer no to your questions before you even finish asking, and god forbid you ask for hot sauce AFTER you receive your order. I'm sure it's standard at every taco shop to get hot sauce after with no issue (I grew up in San Diego and lived in L.A. for a while; so I've been to my fair share of taco shops). I am local and eat here once a week. I grew up in a very Hispanic community in Oregon and of all the quick taco places in Oroville this place is very good. They do mess up your order once in a while but with a language barrier you gotta expect that. The hot sauce is fantastic but if you have a sensitive stomach it will go right through you. TMI LOL, but necessary info. The best meat by far is the chili colorado, I get that burrito a lot. But all of the food is good honestly. I like the soft flour tortilla tacos best, they char your tortillas perfectly. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is their orange sauce that they use on their rellanos I believe it's their enchilada sauce, it's just a bit bland. read more
