Wow. I went there today with a leaking tire. I was strapped for time and anxious. I met Henry. I don't know who runs this place but give Henry a raise. He walked me through the problem, a patch that was leaking and unfortunately necessitated a new tire. He took the time to show me the issue and walked me through my options. I took his advice and bought a tire (which he heavily discounted because I was a returning customer) when I left, I realized that whole process took less than 20 min. If you need tire help go here asap and ask for Henry. They're fast, they're legit, they're talented, and they respect and love the community. I'm a diehard customer now because of him. read more

STAY AWAY! I called to check if they had my tire size since my tire was low since I didn't know if it was going to need a replacement. When I get there they took off the tire gave me a USED tire and didn't even check to see if my old tire could've been repaired. While I was there someone else got new tires for 80 each. My USED tire was 60. When I asked him why so much he said prices have gone up, but honestly from used to new with a $20 difference is a rip off without allowing me to decide. When I asked what was wrong with my old tire they simply said "we didn't check it" we just replaced it. DANGEROUS EXPERIENCE!!! I purchased a used tire from this shop while in a pinch with assurance it would work, and less than a month later that tire blew out while I was driving on the 101 South causing me to spin out and to barely miss other drivers; this could've resulted in serious injury or loss of life. When I brought documentation of it having been worked on afterward and the photos of the destroyed tire they put on to the Ortiz Tires staff I was told the manager wasn't in and they showed absolutely no remorse even after I explained everything that happened. No apology, no refund, but in general refused to take absolutely any responsibility for what happened; which is what is most troubling. Attached to my post are images of the destroyed tire, posting this here to warn the local community. Great service. Had a nail in my tire which required a patch. Went in on a Saturday morning. They were able to see me almost immediately and the whole process took no more than 10 mins. All in all cost $25. Bring cash because I'm pretty sure they don't take cards. Only downside was parking is a little confusing. But for the price, can't get any better. read more

A nice touch is that he had a very clean bathroom with industrial soap and a brush where I could wash my hands off after dealing with my flat tire. Afterwards the car drove like a dream. As smooth as butter. He even put my donut tire away, put the proper tire on and hubcap. He even adjusted my detached blinker when asked. Listen, 2020 has been no joke. Money's tight. I don't need to hear the "it's best to replace all the tires" right now. Furthermore, I didn't want to be talked into new tires. I simply don't have the money for it. At Ortiz tires, I pulled up. I was immediately greeted. I said I had gotten a nasty flat the day before, and the spare was currently on the front passenger side. He checked all four tires, said the other three were in good condition, and he found a close match that he'd put on that front passenger side for $40! He then took the compromised tire off the good hubcap, replaced the busted tire with the used one, then put the spare tire on the back again. Oh yeah, I drive an older Honda CR-V. By the time I went across the street for cash and returned, he was finished. 15 minutes and $40 later, I was on the road again! Thank you Ortiz Tires!!! read more

My mom came here to fix her tire because it had a chunk of metal in it. I waited in the car with her while the guy was fixing it and saw that the guy was using a metal crowbar to take the tire apart from the rim. I had a feeling he was going to end up scratching the rim because of how carelessly he was doing it. We made the mistake of not checking right after and of course we got home and saw the damage had been done. My mom went back today and the stupid man had said "we didn't do that here, let's all be honest" like if we don't have money to fix our mistakes ourselves. What makes this man think I'm purposely going to tire shops with scratched rims to have them fix it, I don't have time for that nor do I even want to be doing that. Next time if you don't know how to properly do a job old man say that, don't blame the customer after your service was horribly done. If it were us that had scratched the rim then yes, no problem we would've fixed it but the lack of honesty and lack of responsibility taken by this old man with attitude is ridiculous. If I would've known they would've scratched her rims I would've gone somewhere else. Stay away from this place unless you absolutely have an emergency and need to get back on the road ASAP. The last time I was here, I paid good money to have 4 tires, uninstalled and reinstalled and balanced and later on that day at work. My front passenger tire leaked out all the air. Because the valve stem wasn't centered correctly and one of my hub. Centering rings was omitted from reinstallation, which threw off my balance after. I went to the shop to look for but they obviously had no intention of giving a crap about the fact that they screwed up my installation that badly. You need to take it to professionals. But the person who helped me was a young hispanic kid, which clearly didn't know how to install tires properly. read more

SCAM BEWARE!!!!! I came here because of the 5 star reviews on yelp and regret coming here. *I am aware my tire has been balding from camber* The problem: I have been adding air to my tires for about 2 months now every 1-2 weeks mainly because after that timeline, the pressure would drop to about 25 psi. That being said, my tire was holding pressure and that's why I came here to get that checked out. After coming in and to get the tire checked, I explained that it wasn't holding pressure so I don't think it was a hole in the tire (most likely the stem was too old). He took it in the back and added air to it. Immediately after submerging the tire in the bucket of water, we both saw air coming out. I found it odd that there was a lot of air coming out because it was holding pressure for about a week and a half. If what I saw was true, there must have a been a huge hole. After seeing that I knew something was up and declined that offer to buy used tires; I prefer buying all 4 brand new tires anyways. After getting home checking up on it after 30 minutes, my tire was completely flat! Keep in mind, this is the SAME tire that was holding pressure for at least 1 week. When I took the tire out and check up on it, I noticed hole which looks like a knife cut (see picture). If it was my tire that had a hole, it would be where the balding is from camber. It's clear that that is a knife cut in the picture. Be careful bringing your tires here. This guy is literally cutting tires for a quick buck. I'd give this business a 0 if it was possible. read more

Today I went to America's Tires to try to get two tires that had two nails embedded. They looked at the tires, wouldn't plug them for me and quoted me a price of $650 for brand new tires since that's all they have. I went to Ortiz Tire shop instead since I was on a budget. Upon inspection the inner treads were worn down. I told his worker to go ahead and replace all 4. The new tires had about 80% thread left on them. I was talking to the worker while he changed my tires. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. After about 30 mins or so he was done and Henry the owner charged me $150 for all 4. After that, I went home and brought in my father's SUV that had a screw protruding from side rear tire. Since there was no way to patch it, I told the worker to change it out. Once again, very quick and efficient. He charged me $35 for this tire. I highly recommended this shop for all your tire needs. read more

This place is a scam!! Not sure how they even have some positive reviews. They must pay their customers to say good things on here. I needed a new tire since i had a flat. I called this place and asked how much for a used tire and gave the specific tire size. The man on the phone said it would be $50 including labor. I called triple A to take my car here to have the tire swapped. When I arrived, I mentioned the $50 price i was told on the phone and the man says "No it's $60". I was a little frustrated and figured "whatever I'm already here it's only $10 more" They proceed to change my tire and once they finished, i got to the register and the man says it's $70 now ??? It seems like they're just messing with people and not being upfront about their prices. I wouldn't trust a place like this. They were really rude and unprofessional. Not once did they apologize or try to make things right. You would think that since it was my first visit, they would make a great impression.
