We chose to stay here because it was nearby where our family members were staying. after having read past reviews, we didn't come in with the highest expectations and unfortunately, while it wasn't the worst experience, it was definitely lacking to the point where we do not think we will return in the future. We stayed in the Pacific Rim Suite which is listed as being in the main lodge. Well, it most certainly is- it is directly across the tiny hallway from the main desk. This means you hear the office phone ringing and all the interactions between staff and other guests. To add to this, the room is not very soundproof at all- we could hear the entire conversation of those staying in the room behind/beside us. The room was clean but as previous reviews have mentioned, bring your own bottled water because the tap water definitely has a brown tinge to it. A small coffee maker, coffee, kettle, microwave and mini fridge are provided which is nice, but you need bottled water to make your coffee which they don't provide. The biggest issue we had was breakfast and the lack of staff presence... we were asked when we checked in what time we want breakfast- 8:30 or 9:30. We said 9:30. On our first morning, it was 9:40 and when I went to check on breakfast another guest told me she still hadn't received her 8:30 breakfast... when I finally tracked down a staff person I was told their chef didn't show so she, who is an office person, was doing it all but she knows we need ours. Well, over an hour passed and as we got closer to 11am we had not heard anything else or seen staff so we assumed we were not going to get our breakfast and left to find food elsewhere. We did receive our breakfast the second morning which was decent- it came with scrambled eggs, has browns, sausage, a bit of fruit and a croissant. The reason I am allowing the missed breakfast to dictate the rating I am giving is because nothing was done about it. No apology, no offer to provide any sort of compensation or small discount on our bill. when I mentioned it to the staff person upon checkout she told me the breakfast is complimentary so she doesn't think they would reduce my bill. I don't care if it's complimentary- something should be done to acknowledge the major inconvenience it caused (we were starving by the time 11am rolled around and there are very limited food options in Port Renfrew). We weren't asking for a free night or anything- even $10 off would have been a nice gesture. We checked out two days ago and have not heard a word from management. We do not plan on returning next time we come to Port Renfrew.

Included in your stay is a full service breakfast, with pancakes and eggs to order coffee, tea, juice. A fantastic 3 Course dinner is offered each evening. The food was harvested locally. Salmon caught that morning, mushrooms picked in the woods, blackberries mixed into handmade ice cream. All The food prepared by Tim and John was absolutely incredible. We were glad we made dinner reservation and ate our dinners at Soule Creek. This was our first time staying in a Yurt and it was incredible.

I can see this being a little home away from home for fishermen or others. - Great price - booked it on Orbitz I believe and it was super cheap for what we got. - Location was perfect for what we needed for a road trip through the Olympic Penisula - centrally located. - Fantastic view at all times of the day. Right at the water's edge. Cons: - It got really hot in the room. We kept all the windows open in the room and just kept our curtains closed the entire time. That made it better but still quite toasty. - No tub, just a shower - The shower also had a leaky faucet so we had to be creative with how to deal with the drippy drippy water noise.

We booked a balcony and it was gorgeous. The resort itself was beautiful. The decor was on point, everything looked clean and new. I used the pool and gym, both were great. The cafe was great grabbed coffee & pastry in the morning. We ate at West Coast Grill a couple of times, also was great. The views from our room were amazing. The room was clean and very spacious especially the bathroom. Great location, was able to explore the coast also Victoria. Overall, it was a great stay. We would stay here again.

"You will not be getting a refund in this universe, and we are I hear you are looking for a refund, and this will NOT happen in this lifetime!" then they hung up. They claimed the room was unrentable after we had left the property, see the attached "evidence" of the mess we left! We had some food when we checked in, used the bathroom, and left as soon as we saw the BED BUGS! My only regret is not taking photos of the bedbugs. ZERO STARS, and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The suite was spatious, had a sitting room with a pull out sofa bed and a balcony! The king-sized bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever had while traveling. The B+B is situated in Saanich close to Victoria, the Butchart Gardens, Sydney airport and other ammenities. It is situated in a quiet countryside setting (complete with deer grazing in the yard)! Mavis and Tony were the most gracious and attentive hosts offering suggestions complete with maps of places to visit and assistance whenever it was required. The wonderful breakfasts were awesome. The table was set lovely and the food very tasty with more than generous portions. They were even very attentive to our daughter's special diet. Breakfast was made extra special thanks to Mavis' freshly baked muffins and fresh fruit! Don't hesitate to put this B&B on your potential places to stay while visiting Victoria and the surrounding area.

Their website made it clear that we had to supply our own cookware and linens and while we brought a cooler with ingredients for a meal, we forgot to bring pots and plates and towels. The owners did not have to supply us with anything but they were kind enough to lend us the items we needed and they did it with kindness. We are going to stay here again for another ONP backpacking trip this year. Highly recommend!

We were travelling as a group of co-workers for business in the Olympic peninsula and rented every…read moreroom! All of them were wonderful and cozy. We particularly enjoyed sitting around the fireplace and eating dinner in the upstairs suite. The upstairs suite is HUGE and could fit a whole family all on its own. It doesn't come with breakfast though, so be forewarned! I stayed in the nautical room with a half bath and two twin beds. It was perfect for me and I slept well. I was a bit jealous of my co-worker in the quilt room because he had a jacuzzi! Unfortunately, the hostess Sandy was called away for an emergency, so we never got to meet her. She had a friend step in to help check us in and make us breakfast. She did a great job, especially on short notice. I actually would love to go back in the summer with my own family to explore the area and enjoy Sandy's hospitality all over again. The town itself was pretty much closed down since we visited in December. I bet it is more happening in the summer. Bring your own lunch and dinner foods or else your options will be limited to gas station food in the winter.

You can eat your French Toast prepared by Sandy on the patio facing the Clallam River lazily flow into the Strait of Juan de Fuca or and watch the Bold Eagle being picked on by couple of crows. In the background you can see Vancouver mountains and fishing vessels and big cargo ships as well. Overall my experience was such as I was visiting an aunt for the summer. The small dining room overlooks the water and the food and service were worthy of the description "fine dining". The food was creative and presentation unique. The restaurant is only open Wednesday through Sunday so that is a reason to plan your visit on this days. We were visiting with 2 friends and had cabin 2-3, one the mirror image of the other next door. The cabins are rustic. Isn't that the reason you came. The hot tub worked great. We only did minimal cooking but the facilities were adequate. The view was perfect. the big bed was very comfortable and the well worn recliner chairs were so comfortable you could sleep in them. You visit will not be complete until you walk the incredible trails around the property.

There is a small kitchen that had everything we needed and a cozy livingroom with a beautiful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. There are Adirondack chairs on the deck and a 4 person hot tub that we enjoyed every day. The picture on the website of this cabin shows different furniture and a pretty fireplace with a mantel. Unfortunately they have a couple worn leather chairs with cracked leather arms and the couch is a hide-a-bed with cushions that were hard to keep in place. They kept working their way out and over the edge of the couch. What I was sad about was they have had to change the fireplace to bring it up to code. Instead of keeping the rustic feel with stone and a pretty mantle, they put up a couple bit shiny pieces of metal and screwed it in. They didn't use long enough screws and it is pulling away from the fireboard behind. It looks like a cheap fix and doesn't fit with the rustic cabin feel. We did enjoy having a fire, however, and they replenished our wood supply, including kindling and paper every day. We were there for a birthday and would have loved to eat at the restaurant there but the menu didn't appeal to us enough to pay the high price of a meal. We loved walking private guest only paths on the property that lead to a beach with a shelter with fireplace and chairs. Another leads over a pretty red bridge that leads to rocks overlooking the wild surf. We were there early May and loved enjoying the flora waking up in the spring. There are a few references to the staff being rude so we decided to tread lightly. Nobody was rude but there was definitely one woman who was curt. The staff in general lacked warmth and were not overly welcoming. But we didn't have any issues that needed addressing. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would go back.
