Just left... we are actually glad to have a vegan organic cute cafe here in South bay. Loved the decor and the food was great. The reason for the 2 star is the communication. They made a mistake on our order and the girl apologized and said she would take the order off our bill. However, when she returned... they kept it there and took a $1 off vs removing it as she mentioned. I am writing this to let them know (as a feedback) to perhaps keep their word. Being a new business, you would think the courtesy would matter. Anyway I left a bit turned off and still left the customary tip of 15% to show my side of courtesy.. which is about the same amount that should was mentioned to take off. Cute place etc etc... but not the best first impression for me. Im sorry :( *edit after receiving a pm from Michael No, this is not an angry or mad review. I had the vegan sloppy joe, which isn't really a sloppy joe but just some chill over bread, but is very good anyway. It was expensive though. The whole place is very expensive. Also there is table service but if you only want water to drink then they will not bring it to you and make you go get it yourself, which is weird. Also the owners give off a weird vibe. I thought maybe it was just me but then I heard other customers saying the same thing. The place is hard to find, around the corner even though the street address says "Hawthorne." So if money's not an option for you, and you don't mind some weirdness, then you should go try their organic vegan food. read more

My HEALTHY CRACK. when I visit my aging parents in California I usually take them out. I happen to stumble upon a farmers market and with just one taste, I found my CRACK. I now have a new obsession snack....CRUNCH JUNKIE....FIRST heard about them at the farmer's market on Wilson Park in Torrance. One sliver of taste in a wooden spoon had my taste buds in a tissie. I wanted to ask for a more heftier sample but I refrained and just bought a bottle which managed to make it all the way to Tucson. I am slowly pimping your product out to my Co workers (in Tucson) albeit it's with hesitation. after these hags takes a teaspoon of my PB spread, they are like leaches...keep coming for more. It is MY afternoon go to snack. I usually eat it with my banana and sometimes ......chocolate covered almonds (yes I kkkknnnnnowwwww, don't judge ) try it...fair warning though...you too will be hooked....!!! read more

Delicious Vegan joint!! Loved the food and the butters. I couldn't choose between all of the yummy butter options. I finally decided on the Crunch Junkie and the Crack Butter but I'll be back for a few others once I'm finished with these. The people are friendly and the owner is very nice and informative. Stopped by the other day to do my homework and have some lunch with my girlfriend. The location albeit a bit hidden is cozy. We were starving so we tried the guac and cashew cheese toast, the sloppy joe, and the alfredo pasta. Everything was very well seasoned and delicious. Read up on some other reviews and alot of people mention that its really expensive. Well you're eating vegan food.. alot of it is nut based (all the items with the house made almond milk and the nut cheese) and its all organic. You're paying for quality ( just try their amazing almond milk and see for yourself.. I'm sure they'll give you a sample) They don't have a ton of options and hopefully that will change eventually but overall we had a great experience. read more

I drive 40 minutes from OC to Lawndale just to enjoy a vegan meal here at OrVeganic! The owner and the staff are so welcoming to everyone that steps foot inside. They offer a variety of plant based lattes and "malkshakes". Everything that I've order so far is so darn delicious. Kombucha on tap!! Get the blueberry! Also vegan sloppy joe was tasty as was the tofu scramble. Cute little cafe I like to study there through the week :) The staff is really nice. They are very accommodating. It's near my home in Lawndale, which is also a huge plus. Hardly any vegan joints around. I am stoked orveganic finally opened. Also, their nut butters are what I bought first from farmers market. They are really the game changers. I eat it with cinnamon toast or dates. This place was such a yummy lunch! I am so happy I found a tasty vegan place to eat at on this side of town. They have street parking rite out front and indoor as well as outdoor seating. The menu has so many things I want to try but today we had the Chardonnay pasta which was like a vegan stroganoff and the Thai wrap. But we're very tasty. We got the almond mealk which was so darn tasty. We will be back in a few days. read more

Wonderful vegan place! Ambiance is quiet, quaint and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the Alfredo and my boyfriend ordered the black bean sweet potato chili. Everything was delicious! I would say the chili was my favorite but the pasta was still so delicious and super filling! The owner gave us sample of their almond milk.... omg!! This place has the BEST nut butters and nut milks on the planet. My favorite snacks here is the avocado cheese toast or the granola bar with the jungle gem nut butter. The ultimate dish is the cashew Alfredo! IT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD! I could eat it everyday! You will not be disappointed! read more

I was completely blown away by everything OrVeganic had to offer. I have to be honest and say I was a bit skeptical becoming vegan with my sister but this placed has entirely changed my output on this lifestyle change. Their plates are all plant based and extremely fresh. I cannot stop praising their Pumpkin Spicy Peanut Butter that's paired with their amazing Thai Peanut Avocado Collard Green Wrap. I had to buy a jar to take home. Their Sloppy Vegan Joe was made perfectly and it pairs well with a White Ginger Tea. The Almond Chardonnay Cheddar Alfredo was to die for but it felt a bit heavy. Thank god for the customer service, they're so attentive that they noticed something was wrong and quickly added Nut Mealk and that completely solved the problem! I will definitely be visiting OrVeganic again and soon! read more

The service, ambience & food were great. The owner took care to come to speak to us and give me great advice on my vegan journey (2 months in). The ingredients are incredibly sourced and fresh! No imitation meats and fluff. All whole food plant based. The "ice mealk" has only 4 ingredients and was better than any diary free ice cream I've ever tasted. We sampled different teas, nut butters, and entrees and everything was delicious and whole. My mom is a meat & diary eater and she loved the food as well. We will definitely be back. read more

As somebody who is generally very careful about what I put in my body, it has been difficult to find a restaurant that I can feel comfortable eating at. I am pleased to state that Orveganic certainly fits the bill. It's an organic, gluten free, vegan kitchen. They even use distilled water to cook and make the coffees. They have a broad selection that can fulfill the palates of raw vegans to those who love a warm bowl of chili. Delectable coffee drinks, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, a relaxed jazzy vibe and a clean and stylish seating arrangement make this a very enjoyable experience. Amazing service!!! I've been to quite a few vegan restaurants since transitioning the first of this year and this place is now high on my list. Very attentive and just right filling portion sizes. I appreciate the menu options, its not an overwhelming number of choices, just enough to easily decide on an entree. Also upon arrival and even before arrival of your entree expect excellent samples! The warm in house made almond "mealk" is amazing, this was one of the samples, it's used for all of their coffees. I also purchased the cinnamon fig peanut butter that's also made in house. A friend and I randomly found this place and were so impressed. We ordered the Cinnamon Vanilla almond latte which was amazing. Then we got green wrap, fresh and tasty. For our entree we ordered the Three Bean Chili and Split Pea and Moong Dal Soup both so delicious. You can tell everything is made fresh here and great quality. I've been to this restaurant once a month ago. It smelled a bit funny inside so I was nearly ready to head to the door, but I was offered a sample of their Almond Mealk and that had me sold. I sat and ate and even ordered milk and nut butters to go. They told me that everything was homemade and I was truly happy about the healthy selection of cooked and raw foods. The customer service was amazing also and I promised to come back. I happened to be in the area again today, forgetting they are closed on Mondays but to my dismay, they was a signed taped on the door that warned about an attack dog. My sister and I looked inside and was horrified to see a dog inside the restaurant roaming freely. We don't plan on coming back here at all. Where does the dog go to the bathroom? His bed was in the middle of the restaurant floor where customers dine. I cannot continue to eat in a restaurant that would rather compromise their customer's health instead of just hiring HUMAN security or a great security system, Steel roll gate or a scissor gate to keep out crime. It's super odd to me and I am truly saddened because they food and products here are great but I want to stop while I'm ahead because I don't want to become sick. Now I have an idea about the mysterious smell... UPDATE: Per the business owners review.... 1. I was in no way, shape or form "peeking around" at night. I had just finished my last class for the day and i arrived at the restaurant around 3pm. Which is the afternoon. 2. I completely forgot that the restaurant is not opened on Mondays. Hence, looking through the window to see if people were inside, then I looked over at the business hours that were off to the side of the window & weren't as visible as the bright "BEWARE OF DOG" sign on the door. You would have to look a bit hard to see the business hours, HENCE AGAIN looking through the GLASS door. 3. I am an animal lover also, hence the fact that I am Vegan. 4. I was told by an employee that the restaurant has been there way less than 7 years...I believe at year or two, definitely not 7. 5. AGAIN, The customer service is amazing and I have no issue with the products as far as taste. 6. I feel the owner was a bit rude with his reply. I just feel that animals should not be in restaurants around where meals are prepared, I would not like dog's fur in my food just as much as I wouldn't want human hair in my food (this did not happen to me, just a possible scenario) If it was a service dog I would NOT have an issue. There is some sketchy activity in the alley next to the restaurant so I'm pretty sure, the owner wants to protect his property, but I still feel that a vicious attack dog is not the way and is not humane. To be a dog lover and breed them to be evil and vicious is not the Vegan way. That's not in the best interest of the animal and is selfish on the owners part. I will not be coming back like I've stated before and the owners reply definitely solidified this decision for me. read more

Yummy protein lattes. Super helpful staff. Sure-price seems high, but anyone who cooks knows good ingredients are expensive to begin with. Didn't have time to try entrees but tried yogurt and pudding. Both very good and satisfying enough for my young children. Found out it's run by the same folks who are behind HealthyButter, of which I have been a customer for years! I am happy to have found this hidden gem.
