We love the ice cream here. It's a bit pricey, but quality is very good. There is a good selection, and plenty of seating outside. Service was fast, and we love the ambiance of the patio area.

Cute little ice cream stand at The Point with a good selection of flavors. Nothing super special, but it's a solid option if you're already there and craving something sweet after a meal. Convenient, tasty, and worth stopping by for dessert.

I love this Van Leeuwen! It's in such a great spot, The Point, and the ambiance and vibes are lovely. Such a nice place to grab a dessert after dinner. My personal favorite flavor is the Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownie, which was sold out this time and I was devastated!! However, I tried the Sweet Corn and Blueberry Jam, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Tasted like a blueberry cornbread. The staff are kind and the prices are a bit up there for ice cream, but I can't dock any points because I know it's high quality and uses great ingredients!

Tried this ice cream shop for the first time, but it wasn't really to my liking. Some of the flavors, such as the passion fruit, were extremely sour, and the cones lacked flavor as well. While others may enjoy the unique taste profiles, the overall experience did not meet my expectations.

It's a cute little place with outside sitting. We went yesterday after having dinner at North Italia.... It makes for a nice stroll after dinner. The ice cream is OK. We paid 19 for one scoop of me and two for my husband. Service was quick, but they gave my husband butter pecan instead of vanilla. We told them abs they did fixed it fairly quickly

With wintry season fast approaching, very soon eating something cold outdoors will be a battle of wills between my cerebral craving and shivering hands. So, I decided to grab an ice cream on a sunny afternoon while visiting The Point. The cute standalone shop offered a great variety of ice creams, sundaes and sorbets. The service was fast and attentive. For this visit I got 2 scoops of ice cream with the following flavors: Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb: The texture was creamy and smooth, a tad chewy and crunchy from bits of brownies and caramel brittles. Slightly salty taste balanced well with the overall sweetness. Sicilian Pistachio: The ice cream was also delightfully creamy, not too sweet and slightly salty. The nuttiness is present but subtle. It also had the beautiful "I can't believe it's no artificial" greenish color. The verdict: Ice cream this good, I will eat it in any weather.

OMG, this was the absolute best ice cream I've ever had in my 59 years of life. We had lunch in the area and we wanted something sweet after our meal. We walked around and stumbled across cute establishment. We'd never been here before but we were willing to give it a try; and OMG we were so glad we did. I had something that equated to a camel sundae and it was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! My bestie had the sane but had vegan vanilla ice cream (it was so good we still can't believe it was vegan). It had these little crunchy pieces of something that I still sometimes know what it was but it was sooooo good. I'm glad this location isn't close because I'd be there everyday. If you haven't been, get there ASAP!! I wish I could give it 10 stars.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is bougie ice cream. Like Jeni's or Salt & Straw. At $7.45 per cone for 1 flavor. But as all of the spots listed, this is quality ice cream and worth every penny. Van Leeuwen is located in the heart of The Point in El Segundo. You'll find them in the center next to Simzy's and Kendra Scott area. You can order at the counter and then sit in the patio seating area with tables & chairs or Adirondacks. Honestly, there are tons of places to sit around The Point. Or take a nice walk enjoying your ice cream. Been dying to try the Mango Sticky Rice ice cream since it saw Whole Foods selling the pints. Unfortunately, it was sold out when I went to look for it. We are visiting from out of town and The Point is one of our fave spots to hang out with the kids and our big families. After we got dinner, we had to get ice cream. I was super stoked when we were at The Point earlier in the week and saw Van Leeuwen had Mango Sticky Rice on the menu. Unfortunately at the time, I was full and couldn't eat anything else. Ha. So here we were again and I saved room for dessert. Funny thing is Jennifer helped me when we stopped by the first time to get a sample and she was there again when we came back. I recognized her and told her she helped me previously. Jennifer was great and so friendly. The Mango Sticky Rice flavor was super smooth, creamy with fresh mango flavors and a hint of coconut to give it that mango sticky rice essence. It's so good. My daughter got the Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie and my son got plain vanilla with a request to add maraschino cherries. Van Leeuwen had the fancy maraschino cherries, I think these are the cherries you serve in fancy cocktails. He was not happy with that as he likes the bright fake colored red maraschino cherries they get in Shirley Temples. Lol. I scooped out the cherries and ate some of the ice cream with the cherry residue on it and he was fine. Hahaha. They have so many unique flavors. I love these bougie ice cream spots with the different flavor options. Keep up the good work! Great location for ice cream being around so many restaurants and a perfect spot with families hanging out all day long. Good score Van Leeuwen!

I enjoy pretentious ice cream. Mostly because I love ice cream. Truth is, I'll eat any ice cream, gelato or frozen yogurt as long as it tastes good. Ice cream doesn't have to be expensive. I have experience because I frequently make my own, in fact I just made the custard for some strawberry ice cream I'll churn tomorrow. Today's ice cream prices are obnoxious. Understandable I guess if you're tasked with milking the cow, collecting eggs from chickens, harvesting the fruit, purchasing all the equipment and paying someone to do all the work. Van Leeuwen ice cream is good. You'll likely find a flavor that tickles your fancy. Maybe it's a good thing it's pricey as it probably keeps me from frivolous spending. Watch your grocery store for a sale day - it doesn't happen often, but when it does, take advantage and get a couple or four different flavors so you can be the judge. Keep on, keeping on Van Leeuwen!

Great flavors and vegan! They ran out of the popular flavors . There was always a line but it went by quick. Outside seating .

My wife and I regularly enjoy Van Leeuwen ice cream from our local Whole Foods' freezer section. One flavor we've been wanting to try -- but have had a hard time finding because it's always out of stock, is Mango Sticky Rice. So when we stopped by this Van Leeuwen location and saw it was available, we knew we had to seize the opportunity. It wasn't busy when we arrived, and our scoop was ready for pick-up in just a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, I was extremely underwhelmed. Nothing about the flavor reminded me of mango sticky rice -- not even a little. On top of that, every bite I had contained ice crystals, which made the texture unpleasant. Whether it was due to improper storage or old ice cream, I'm not sure, but it definitely wasn't enjoyable. While service was friendly and fast, I was disappointed that the ice cream wasn't sampled beforehand for quality. If I were working there, I wouldn't have served it in that condition. Another downside: when we visited at 2:00 p.m., many flavors were already sold out. That doesn't feel especially late in the day to be running low, and in my opinion, it would've been better to remove the sold-out flavors entirely from the menu rather than listing them with a sticker. It just sets the wrong expectation.

Sicilian Pistachio, strawberry yuzu and sweet corn & blueberry jam
    Perla T.

We ordered 3 pints of ice cream for togo - Pistachio, Sweet Corn & Blueberry and Strawberry Yuzu. We waited for a little while they are prepared our order. Overall, the ice cream we ordered was just okay and didn't stand out much compared to other places we have tried. However, I did particularly enjoy the blueberry flavor, as it had a distinct and noticeable taste. Additionally, the service was commendable; the lady who assisted us was very responsive and addressed our questions.

    Peppermint fudge sundae
    Hannah M.

I saw an ad for this pink peppermint fudge sundae at Van Leeuwen and it had stayed in the back of my mind. Something about the seasonal flavor now in December and the fact that it's pink with the pretty crushed candy cane garnish really got to me and I found myself driving 20 minutes out of my way to buy this $10 sundae. I had easy parking at the point and there was no line at Van Leeuwen so I ordered right away and came out quickly. Right away I was excited as I saw the height of the whipped cream and as I grabbed the cup, it wasn't frozen from the ice cream but pleasantly warm from the ribbons of hot, gooey fudge. For all these calories and expensive price tag this treat better be worth it, and it was. The fudge cut through the peppermint and the whipped cream added a nice creamy element. For a holiday treat this was very satisfying.

My daughter got the cheese pizza and my son got the penne pasta. I kind of wish they had a side of vegetables or fruit, but thankfully, I had just given my kids some fruit before, so avoided the mom guilt lol. The edamame dumplings is an absolute must! It's an umami flavored dish! We also got the eggplant dish, and it was really good! If you've been to elephante in Santa Monica, it kind of reminds me of that, but the eggplant is a little bit more dense, but really great flavors. You may have to order an extra eggplant dip, because the ratio isn't exactly favorable towards the eggplant. Got the kale salad with shrimp. The shrimp was cooked to perfection! Kale was pretty good, but asked for extra cheese. My husband was all about the burger and he claimed it was one of the best burgers he's ever had! He got an IPA beer and I got a watermelon mint Mojito. It was really good, but I think I will try the skinny margarita next time. The price is actually pretty reasonable for the clean /delicious food! We are most definitely coming back!
