This was the South Bay's best kept secret that shouldn't be a secret any more! I have been driving past (and super curious about this place) several times daily on my way to work and back. Plus, it turns out I was already their biggest fan after tasting a flight of their nut butters up at the PV Farmers Market one weekend! My friend and I had fun splitting a few things on their menu and sampling their Mealk and their Nut Butters. Both have such fresh, delicious and complex flavors, you will never go back to store bought. The owner has traveled the world collecting recipes and you can taste it in these offerings. My friend and I split the gluten-free Super Seed toast with the amazing raw avocado seed guacamole on it. I had to taste the bread alone and the texture and heft to the bread is so satisfying but it is also so soft! The guacamole is some of the best I've had anywhere. We also split the Earthy Parfait because I wanted to try their yogurt chia seed pudding and that soft texture balanced with the figzilla kettle bar and nutty/seed crunch was amazing. The dried fruits added such an amazing dimension. We each had a Mealk latte - hers with Cinammon and vanilla, mine with vanilla and maple syrup and I bought the beautiful mug to take home. I love the beautiful colorful design and wrapping my hands around the mug for warmth. My friend bought soups and juices for the road. We will obviously be back as soon as we can! What an amazing hidden gem that was right under our noses. My wife and I live pretty close to this place and have exited and entered the 405 near there so many times and never noticed it. Found it on Yelp and decided to go try it out. We went for a weekday lunch and parked on a residential street nearby. We were very warmly greeted when we walked in and asked if it was our first time. It is open seating and a cute, cozy vibe inside. We were brought menus and waters and asked if we had any allergies, which we don't. Since it was our first time, the sweet server started bringing us samples of different things. First, she brought out their "mealk," which my wife enjoyed, but i didn't. It was served warm, but maybe I'd like it if it was cold. Then she brought an assortment of their nut butters and gave us a small sample of each. They sell them all there in jars, which I'm sure is why they let you sample. It worked, and we got a jar of the figzilla on the way out. We ordered the items pictured and the alfredo was our favorite. They use the same mixture to make their protein so the "forbidden balls" and the sloppy joe were the same thing. It's okay in small quantities but kind of dry and flavorless if you have too much of it. Paired well with the pasta though. My wife loved the soup, and overall their menu is great with lots of items we wanted to try and a list of what goes into each dish. Definitely for a more niche crowd of vegetarians or vegans, but if you're open to different foods, I think you could find something you like. Looking forward to going back to try more menu items. Have been here a half dozen times because the food is outstanding but after today, it is my last time. Met colleague for working meal and were not allowed a 4-top in the main dining room. Would not accommodate my ask to push (2) tables together. Repeating requests to a manager got us shuffled to the back room by the kitchen with dim lighting and uncomfortable high top table seating. Only 2 other people dined in over the 3 hours we were there. At $75 for lunch for 2, good customer service might be to let customers enjoy their meals at a table that suits them. read more

Maple syrup is in a lot of foods, including the mealk. Would be nice to have unsweetened mealk for coffee. The balls were made from gain ingredients, the texture soft. The alfredo sauce did not have strong flavor but I was able to taste the mushrooms more naturally. The rainbow salad I had left me energized and full, the high c got me hyped up, and if you get that avocado toast make sure you ask for the hot sauce.
