Ask the Community - Raw Mango Vegan

Raw Mango Vegan's address is the same as that of Copper Pot. Copper Pot is not a vegetarian restaurant, let alone vegan; they serve all sorts of meat. Is Raw Mango Vegan just a name for vegan food prepared in the same kitchen as Copper Pot?

Our address at 1511 S. Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach houses two distinct dining-concepts: Copper Pot Indian Grill: A full-service Indian restaurant & Raw Mango Vegan: A dedicated vegan-only kitchen that operates at the same address but under…

I tried the Pinot flight and ended up going home with a bottle, had the charcuterie board which was a perfect pairing and the live music set the right vibe. You can sit on the front patio ( where the live music happens, also good people watching), inside: small but cozy, or out on the back patio. The restaurant next door, Tin Roof, shares the back patio and there was an event happening out there the night we went, so the back patio was packed and loud, maybe check the Tin Roof calendar before planning your outing, but we wanted to listen to the music out front anyway, heat lamps on both. Speaking of Tin Roof, MB Wines seems to get a lot of Tin Roof folks waiting for their reservations or as a night cap after, so many comings and goings. Lots of foot traffic for Susie Cakes on the front patio as well, so you can take it as more good people watching opportunities or be prepared for some passer's by. Mall parking, then walk across the street, the Tin Roof event happening made it tougher than normal. Will be back on music nights, perfect mellow, enjoyable girl's night or date night spot.

Very cool!! We also got various meat and cheese boards which went well! And the most recent time my hubby and I came on New Year's eve! It was decorated festively and hats, and tiaras and horns which got us in the mood! We each got a glass of wine while waiting for our reservation at TRB! They even had live music with a lady singing and playing piano/keyboard - very nice start to our evening! Keep on, keeping on!

You can tell the chefs are dedicated to the craft. They're a 2025 bib gourmand restaurant and are hoping to aim for their first star, so their efforts into the decor, ambiance, and food shows (good luck!). The waitstaff/chefs were also very attentive. Mussels Tart - really delicious. Super unique and beautifully plated. No taste of fishiness or the ocean. Just overall a 5/5 dish that you must try. Beef tongue - I normally enjoy beef tongue thinly sliced at a Korean BBQ restaurant or coarsely chopped up in a street taco. They do it differently here. The beef tongue is one big cube. It's very flavorful and tender. Not as amazing as the mussels tart but still worth a try. Chili crab - this put them on the map. SUPER DELICIOUS. It's not what you'd expect from a creation called 'chili crab'. There's no shell to be seen and the crab meat is actually buried underneath. Scoop from the inside out. Tons of flavor and I wished the portion size was doubled. Lamb pappardelle - if you like lamb then you'll love this. Lots of different spices and flavors. It has a very deep flavor profile that makes you appreciate all the work and thought that went into designing this dish. I'd get this again also! Strawberry tiramisu - they brought this out for the birthday celebration. They prepared it in a gigantic bowl. Scooped out a generous portion and plated it right in front of us. I have a soft spot for tiramisu so I'd recommend this too. Best of luck on the Michelin star! I'd come back. 5/5

I had to chuckle reading some of the not so great reviews. Overall, I'd say the servers/chefs are…read moreincredibly nice and friendly and they spend a lot of time explaining the concept of each dish. The restaurant is very quaint located in a trendy and busy area of Hermosa Beach. Parking is scarce, even the lot a few blocks away is packed. Some of the dishes had nice flavor but since the place is chef-run, timeliness was an issue. It takes about 45 minutes per course because I'm sure there's a lot of pride invested in each dish. Since the portions are so tiny, you have a lot of time to talk. We started with the mussel tart. This was very tasty with smoked clam and fennel cream. The pastry coating was light but chewy. I would say the presentation was appealing but it reminded me of a Star Wars fighter jet. I was looking forward to the fish dish since we were hungry. Kinilaw is a local fish I wasn't familiar with. It was served with sweet potato and cucumber with coconut flavor. It was a tad underwhelming mostly because we were wondering where the fish was (see photo). The salad had nice flavor but I was not fond of the presentation. Either the plate was too big or this was a "half salad" concept. They are well known for the chili crab and it was delicious. However, this was another case of "where's Waldo" when trying to share the Santa Barbara rock crab meat. The porchetta felt like a heartier hot main dish. Very crispy skin and tender meat. Again dividing by four a bit challenging. Our server recommended it and it was a good suggestion. The broccoli purée and black eye peas were a unique accompaniment. The lamb pappardelle was an essential hot dish. The sausage was lamb and cumin with kale sprinkled on top. This dish was delicious and would be very shareable for two. The dessert was banana-themed. Our server was so pleasant and served it with a smile on an oversized plate. The place and staff are quite nice. The dishes, for the most part, are flavorful. Just be sure to have a few hours for dinner and don't expect to be too full.

We gave Barsha a call and they were more than happy to accommodate us! Plus they were extra kind to set our pup up with a massive bowl of ice cold water. We were quite overwhelmed by the food menu because literally everything sounded delicious. Literally everything we ordered exceeded out expectations. - The Falafel sliders are the most ordered item for a reason. Absolutely incredible with the perfect amount of flavor; deliciously crispy falafel and amazing buns. We ordered this dish twice! It was that damn good. - The crispy bread sounds pretty straight forward but it was also a standout. High quality bread all nice and toasty paired with this incredible olive-infused butter. - The Tunisian bruschetta almost got ordered twice as well. The tuna was phenomenal and makes for a great shared plate. I'm a sucker for any dish with an egg on it so will 100% be ordered this next time we stop in. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to order the lamb meatballs nor the tounsi brik. But I'm very eager to stop back in and give those a try. Also, major shout out to the staff. The service was absolutely incredible. CJ was our main server but literally every staff member that we interacted with was kind to our son, kind to our dog and kind to us. Servers gave what felt like genuine recommendations and it seemed like the team members enjoyed working there. We admittedly came in with low expectations and walked away convinced that we've found a new local favorite. Please go give this place a try!

Tableware is pretty basic, but the food definitely isn't, customer service was excellent too. We wanted one of everything on the menu, including the specials that day, but went with: Crazy about Beets - beautiful magenta beet hummus with yellow roast beet sprinkled with pistachio and dukkah with charred tomatoes.
