So far I've tried their French Toast, Biscuits & Gravy & their blueberry pancakes. None have disappointed. Try the Thunderbrew Coffee if you don't mind waiting for them to brew it. Worth it if you like strong coffee like I do. They will offer you a to-go coffee if you'd like it. Fair pricing. Neat diner atmosphere. Bring a light sweater if you're going sleeveless it might be a bit chilly (not a complaint, just an observation). Restrooms are clean. Free wifi available but it is slow. I'll continue to visit.

As with breakfast, the food was very tasty and plentiful. Everyone in my party left happy and satisfied. Our server Gris, who is familiar with us, was our server. She is very friendly, always in a delightful mood and attentive. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. The place was filled and lively. We were seated very quickly. I ordered the pineapple, tomato & cucumber sandwich on pumpernickel bread spread with a thin layer of cream cheese. Excellent. I chose the homemade macaroni salad as my side. Creamy and tasty. The rest of my party ordered a bowl of chicken soup, mashed potatoes with turkey gravy and a ham & swiss sandwich with a side of apple sauce. I will definitely return for lunch again and look forward to trying the fried green tomatoes.

The Mother-in-law ordered the Denver omelet, and it was just as tasty. A special shout-out to Nora J. for providing excellent, friendly service. She was attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. What I really like is that this isn't your typical chain restaurant. It has its own charm, serves fresh, flavorful food, and offers a much more personal dining experience. I'll definitely be back for breakfast again! Last but not least, thank you for the veterans discount.

I hate having to revise a positive review, but unfortunately today's visit was a very different…read moreexperience. Over the last two months, I have eaten at Village Inn in Sebring several times. During those visits, the service was excellent, the food was consistently good, and I was impressed enough to leave a very favorable review. Today, however, was a completely different story. The restaurant was not particularly busy, yet my food took an unusually long time to arrive. While waiting, I was seated near the kitchen and could clearly hear employees engaging in loud horseplay and unprofessional behavior, which did not create a very welcoming dining atmosphere. I started with a cup of the pork green chili, which I normally enjoy. It is usually served with crackers, but none were brought out. When I asked for crackers, a cracker container was brought to the table, but the crackers inside were stale and soggy. When I politely mentioned this to my server, the response was simply, "That's how we get them," before walking away. There was no apology or attempt to correct the issue. When my cheeseburger finally arrived, it was severely overcooked and very disappointing. Everyone can have an off day, and that's understandable. What concerns me most is the noticeable difference between the excellent experiences I've had previously and the poor service and food quality I received today. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because I have enjoyed dining here in the past. For now, though, I'll be taking a break before returning.

    - ACE build-your-own Tacos! -…read more Who doesn't like buffets and when it's tacos, you can expect a lot of smiling faces and of course, food comas! This review covers the buffet only, but you can read my previous reviews for everything else. Ambience- Fairly large space with standard booths and tables. Everything is clean. Customer Service- Drinks refilled as needed. Plates quickly cleared and the check processed quickly. What's not to like! ACE Taco Buffet- It's in a small separate room, just off the main dining room. There are two standard buffet tables. One for hot items and one for cold. You have hard shell, taco bowls for taco salad and soft tortillas. The soft come in foil wrapped packages of three kept warm by the buffet. Nice! Start at the hot table and begin to build. For meats, you have seasoned ground beef, chicken, pork and fajita chicken with peppers and onions. Add some rice and refried beans. Oh, by the way, there was also what looked like chicken tortilla soup available. Move over to the cold table for lettuce, tomato, onions, salsas, cheese, sour cream etc. You'll also find some chocolate cake to finish off your food coma! Everything was the correct temperature and most Importantly tasted fresh and delicious. Expect to pay around $12.99 + drink. It this crazy economy, of course it could change. Conclusion- As long as you're not expecting gourmet food, I suspect you're going to give this taco experience 5 stars!

Breakfast is one of the busiest time, but worth the wait. Oscar makes the best eggs in Sebring. Cooked to perfection. Lunch is extremely good. Prices are fair market value and the service and reception is great. If time allows it, Oscar will come out of the kitchen and go to most or all the tables to greet you and inquire how your food is or was. Know anyplace in or near Sebring that will or does do that. I have lived in 23 states and only super upscale restaurants, with [rices to match, are not much better than Ocar's. Just ate lunch there today, had a chorizo burrito, it was great. Like everything at Oscar's, it is more than a single portion. Take my word for it, it is the best of everything. Only thing less than great that I can say is, they close at 2:00 PM. Thanks Oscar and staff. Jim & Pam

The inside dining room is wonderful! A true old-fashioned tropical feel. Our waiter was a little odd, but competent. I wasn't real hungry, so I just had a shrimp cocktail. My friend had the duck. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, the cocktail sauce, a bit spicy. Had too much pepper for me. When I mentioned that to the waiter, he told me it was not spicy. He said it only had pepper in it. I said well after I mixed it was a little better. I don't think a waiter should contradict what a customer says if there is a problem; he should help to alleviate the issue. Obviously, somebody didn't stir the cocktail sauce well, still the pepper was a bit heavy. What's troubling is I specifically asked the waiter if the sauce would be hot , as in spicy. My friend said the duck was very nice. As I recall, they served some complementary bread and it was good. I hope to go back to Palm Heights, where this restaurant is located, and I am sure to go back to Tillies.

We were a larger party of 11 and got a prime spot on the beach literally 10 feet from the softly lapping sea water. Our server had the sense to get the kids orders in and served to ensure a delightful experience for the adults. Make sure to peruse the specialty drink menu that can be crafted with our without alcohol. Our food choices roamed the entire menu and everyone loved their meals so feel free to take a suggestion or go your own route. I had a perfectly cooked burger that left me stuffed and satisfied. Expect resort pricing but trust me that the memorable meal you eat will substantiate the price. Truly a one-of-a-kind meal that you'll remember for years to come.
