Deluxe Gyro
Sarah D.

Just ate dinner here for the first time. It gets a 3 because the food was good. However... nothing is fresh, besides the veggies. We were also shocked to see that the gyro comes from a bag, and they put it in the fryer to heat it up. Gyros are supposed to be fresh and light, not soggy in fryer oil. The small was huge and my other half got a large, and it was ginormous. The portions are decent for the price. I just couldn't believe everything came out of a bag. I don't think they actually make anything. service was okay, only 2 people and I think all they spoke was the total on our bill. Last thought, don't put air wick scented wall plugs in a restaurant. It's gross. People don't want to smell chemicals while they eat. Restaurants should smell clean because they are kept clean.

Inside is small but clean

We got it to go which I think was best. The inside is fairly small but the food was good. We had thr beef gyro and hummus it was tasty and service was pretty fast.

Just like Lola's house! I had bangsilog (crispy, smoked marinated milkfish, egg, and garlic fried…read morerice) and it was great. This isn't "fast food", but was quite quick considering Filipino food. A little wait, but well worth it for a satisfying brunch. Although I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I'm aware that it's not so custom to have a "runny egg" and rice at each meal for non-Filipino/a/x fam... so if you haven't experienced Filipino cuisine, please take a look at the menu beforehand. The silog (egg) plates seem so simple, rice, egg and an additional "protein of choice", however, they're very filling. Their menu is full of yummy bites and seemingly snack foods and plates; but be ready to feel satiation. You can get lumpia, turon, halo halo, and Japanese style mochi waffles, or even boba to-go. If you thought you liked boba, come try the variety of boba and milk tea add-in list that goes on for miles. Friendly service, small, but clean dining area. Bathrooms were tidy. For funsies and to add to the joy of this little spot, there are a few smaller game cabinets for kiddos or adults alike. When I was leaving with a satisfied (slightly over full) tummy, I felt the need to order additional food or snacks to go - merienda?. It must be the "Lola culture" living in my bones of "bring this food home for later." I smiled and realized I can come back another time... and I look forward to it! Maraming salamat po.

I wanted to like this place because I kept reading all the reviews but this was not good. It sucks…read morebecause this is quite a drive up from Denver. They have such an extensive menu but it's almost like it's too much options so nothing is good. We ordered some pork chop special and that was so dry. It definitely looked and tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for too long (I'm still shocked they saw it and decided it was still okay to serve us). We were excited for the wings thinking it would be like Jollibee but they were also disappointing. Skip the Korean sauce - it was disgusting. The fries were overcooked. The drinks were generic and surgery. The boba drinks all tasted like powder. Only thing I would order would be the garlic Parmesan wings. Denver has better boba options and wings that are fresh and crunchy. It's not worth the drive. I can how this would be satisfying if you live up this way. The best thing we got were the fried bananas and even they were still just okay (the PF Changs ones taste better for me).

Interesting situation at this location as it is 2 spare businesses within one shop and both appear…read moreto be franchises. It is advertised and signage for both businesses, sharing space and staff. So I will use and address these products together and post each business' Yelp page. We were in Longmont for one of my medical appointments and I knew firm a longtime Yelp fried that there were Michi donuts to be had here and her picture looked like something I wanted to try in the traditionally Japanese treat. I get out this way only a few times a year. WhenI mapped it on Google I found the 2 separate names. It's a cute place and deviated in lots of pink, very trendy these days. We chose our mochi donuts and shown how to order and lay at the kiosks on the wall. We ordered taro, matcha and black sesame. The black sesame was our favorite for both of us though I liked the other two flavors better than my husband did. We both ordered drinks but different ones. I ordered the pear tea with Brien sugar jelly and my husband ordered a green tea with boba. Mine had reduced sugar. The cups looked big but were more ice than fluid than I am used to in other shops in Boulder. But they were both very tasty and complimented the donuts very well. The tables were clean and predominantly empty as most customers were doing take out. The staff was very friendly and helpful but it was unclear to me if the donuts are actually made there, by then. The flavored frostings had a very thin layer and the flavors were lighter than a local shop in the neighboring town where we had some being made in a live kitchen and being served freshly made before our eyes. These were still good but the other place was stellar. Neither are close to home so we will only get to each when in their towns. If you are nearby and looking for a treat, stop in and enjoy. It's a pack of calories but sometimes needed. It's unclear to me if the ownership is franchised from both companies but the products make could partners.

My husband recently bought some more donuts from this place, and I forgot to write a review about…read morethis business even though we have purchased from them for over a year now. These donuts are chewy and flavorful. The icing they use is really lovely, not too sweet or too much. I love the texture of the mochi donut, its truly unique and the bubble shape is a really fun thing to chow down on. The interior of this location is bright and fresh, though small. Not really a sit down and hang out place, but for the time you take to drop in and get your donuts and go, you are cheered by the bright ambiance. Their tech way of ordering can be confusing at first, but once you go and you figure out what the situation is with ordering, its no big deal. I do make sure to pause for awhile staring at the case before I move on to the order screen tho, because they are not next to one another and I am a visual person. I prefer to point and say "this one" but that isn't an option when you go here, you have to order from the screen that is tucked off away from the counter. Its an adjustment to get used to, but once you go then its easy after the first time. I do really enjoy the offerings here, and hope they continue to be successful here in Longmont.

This is a new boba shop on Pearl. There are not too many in Boulder so a new one is nice. It is…read morestill in the soft opening stage in the snow of winter. They are apparently planning a grand opening when summer arrives. I had seen it when eating on the west end of Pearl, just east of the new expanded Hapa sushi that took over the space of two that closed in the pandemic. This space is part of one that closed. I looked through the menu and found a fruit tea that has no caffeine, a choice I medically need. It is winter melon and it seems good for today, snow on the ground but not cold or windy. I ordered it with boba and they were so fresh and soft. Perfect. When I asked for it at a lower sweetness that was on the wall poster, the staff member informed me they actually do not have control of this other than diluting it. So that is what I had her do. It still tasted great and not too sweet but it does dilute it some. Other shops apparently use a separate sweetening syrup rather a premixed solution. As another Yelp review mentioned, it is very small inside with one wall with a bench to sit for a short time. It's actually quite pretty though and the staff efficient and friendly. I am giving it a 5 because only the sweetness was a small issue but it's really a 4.5 until they expand options. So glad to have them on Pearl in such a popular block. Though it is only Winter Melon that cannot be altered this way. Other teas can be easily customized.

I will try and tell you everything that we ordered, but it honestly ended up being so much that I'm not sure I can remember it all. We got the traditional Beijing Zha Jiang Mian and the presentation was gorgeous. So many colors and fresh veggies.. We also got the braised pork rice and green onion pancake. The scallion pancake was flaky and savory. I ordered five buns: pork and leek, Chinese spinach, bamboo shoots, sweet red bean, black sesame. The red bean was my favorite , but to be fair it always is. They threw in a custard bun and a tea egg for free! I had to try their milk tea as well and I really enjoyed it. It had a nice creamy earthy flavor without being too sweet. I also wanted to try one of the flats and I asked the woman working what she suggested. She said the cinnamon is their best seller and that's not something I would have chosen on my own. But I am so glad I asked her because it was absolutely delicious. It was like a dessert. I think it was actually my favorite thing of all that we ordered. The staff was so nice and helpful. They even brought the food out to our car. We had a great experience here and they definitely deserve their amazing Yelp rating!
