Had a very nice lunch at Oscars pub, ordered the two piece fish and chips and a Guinness. The fish and chips were very good and I love that it comes with a side of peas instead of coleslaw. Oscars pub is a very cool little pub, when we were there it was very quiet which was nice, they didn't have ridiculously loud music playing or a bunch of TVs with a bunch of sports playing, it was a very nice location to sit back have a great meal grab a pint and visit. I definitely recommend this place and will 100% visit again. read more

So this place is adorable and homey. It reminded me of walking into a bar in the 80s but it's definitely part of the charm. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and the warmth of friends and family is apparent. This place is not fancy, the food is not wild but it's comforting and welcoming. We had the nachos to start which if I'm honest, seemed a bit microwaved. However, it hit the spot and we happily ate them. I had fish and chips were very good. The fries seem to be fresh cut and well seasoned. One end of the fish was overcooked but I would order again. My husband really enjoyed his meatloaf dish. We happen to be there on their live music night. It was honestly so fun. An older atmosphere and music but lovely and I laughed a lot. Very enjoyable. They also have bingo music nights as well as trivia night. This place feels like a warm hug from the past and I'll keep going in the future. read more

It is a pub for locals. Older crowd. They have music on the weekends. Darts. Trivia night. Good beers. Kind of English style. Dated decor. 2 TVs for sports. Servers were quite pleasant. No drink menu so you don't know cost til you get the bill. The food was disappointing. Our burgers were frozen supermarket patties. And the cheese in the burgers was processed; including the mozzarella. Yuck. If we had known we would not have ordered. The Caesar salad had too much dressing. My A&W Teen burger tasted much better with all beef, real cheddar and bacon. So only 3 stars for me. A good place for a couple beers, but I am eating elsewhere till they find new cooks. read more

It's definitely a pub, the only cider on tap is Strongbow. Nah, thanks. Food - looked good. If you are celiac or gluten free or sensitive, you probably want to find safe food before you head over. If you know you are going to be visiting, call the day before and they might be able to make something safe for you to eat. Fryer is not safe. The wine... the Malbec was good and I would have had a 2nd glass were I not riding 2 wheels! I forgot to ask to see the bottle to get a look at it. Patio was fine, it was a nice evening to be outside. Unfortunately, there was only one poor server on a Tuesday night, and she was run off her feet. read more

I can't believe I haven't done a review yet on Oscars! I love this place. It has an authentic English pub feel to it - unpretentious and down to earth. The food is fantastic - try the fries at least! The service is prompt and friendly. You almost expect at some point for someone to yell out "Norm!" :) If you are a lover of Scotch, the owner is very knowledgable and helpful when making your selections. read more

Went here for the first time on st patties weekend. Great little British style pub in Sherwood park. The place is showing it's age but it kind of works in a way to making you feel relaxed and has a casual atmosphere to go for a drink with friends. I hear they also have live music and pub quiz nights to entertain. I only tried the fried dill pickles off the menu as I wasn't too hungry but they were amazing just the right amount of tang and batter! Probably best fried pickles I've ever had and creamy dill dip to compliment. They also had a large beer selection and the other food we saw going out looked very appealing. I didn't even know this place existed so I'm excited to go back and yelp about this diamond in the rough to my friends. read more

Ahhh, this place is a gem in itself. The fries here are some of the best I've ever had in my life. Everything else you order is always hot and delicious. The staff are kind and good to everyone who walks in young and old. Plus the live music they bring in is always great and makes for a fun filled night you're glad you took part of. Best of all, you feel a real sense of community amongst the loyal customers you're bound to run into when you visit and it's great getting to feel like you're a part of it :) Go visit asap! read more

Oscar's is a nice little "authentic" British pub and the HQ of the Sherwood Park Chicken Wings Society, of which I am an occasional member. It's a fun and comfortable place to hang out with friends for a pint, pub grub and some darts. I've had many memorable (and reasonably sober) experiences here over the years. read more

If you're a pubber, this is a place to be. I think it's authentic. It's off the beaten path so you might have to look for it if you're not familiar with the area. Excellent service. Many good things to eat...fish and chips...Yorkshire puddings and for those of vintage British stock you'll recognize the peas...there's amazing live music pub - style every weekend. A lot of old-school long-time local entertainers that have huge repertoires. Sing along, clap, tap or get up and dance. It's casual, jeans, shorts, flip flops, cowboys, or uptown it's all there. read more

Oscar's is a cool little pub in Sherwood Park - a town that really lacks cool pubs. If you're in the Park and want to venture out to a place that isn't a cookie cutter chain establishment and serves more than Canadian and Kokanee, this is your place. It's your standard British pub, with good beer, sports always on TV and a noise level that promotes conversation. It's a good place for the soccer crowd to hang out at. I watched the World Cup Final with friends there and it was a good atmosphere. Of course its a great place for a pint and a hockey game too. I haven't had too much on the menu, but what is most memorable is their deep fried dill pickle spears. I thought they sounded gross, but they are actually really awesome. Just let them cool off before you take a bite - they are hot! They have a trivia night on Thursdays, which I attended once and was pretty fun. They also have a selection of single-malt scotches, but I'm a beer drinker, so I haven't had any. The staff was always really friendly and the owners are always kicking around. read more

Top notch local pub! Cozy and inviting. Staff are increadiblbly easy going and friendly. They make you feel like you belong instantly. Food is pretty typical pub fare. My "Yorkies" were not amazing...but they were simple and satisfying. The culinary highlight of my visit...was my hotdog! My cordial waitress surprised me when I asked for a menu with her follow up question of "regular manu...or hotdog menu" Well...when offered a hotdog menu...I simply must explore! Am I glad I did! Tuesdays are hotdog night. Big. Juicey franks on soft buns with your choice of about 10 toppings for ~$4. A second list of about 15 "premium" toppings are offered at 40¢ each! This...I have to try! I wound up having a great do covered in chilli, fried onions, bacon, chedder & chives. Delicious! Next time...I'm just going to indulge in two hot dogs! Will I be back? You bet! Great little Sherwood Park pub with real people working there who are personable, welcoming, and friendly. The world needs more Oscars! read more

Amazing atmosphere, the only place in Edmonton and surrounding area I'll go to watch a soccer match.

Friendly service does not make up for embarrassingly bad food, which food is also strangely overpriced. In particular, the nachos, the poutine, and the "snake bites" (a small order of chicken nuggets seasoned with chili flakes that costs more than $10) are terrible and they offer extremely poor value for money. Oscar's is a favourite haunt of one of my friends, so I end up there a few times a year. It isn't a favourite haunt of yours truly, however. If you can avoid it, then I'd encourage you to do so. There are better options in the Edmonton area. read more

A bunch of us came in here on Saturday night for karaoke..and the game. Alot of fun for sure. Great variety of beers and great bar fare.. We all had Nachos and Chicken wings, the usual snacks to go with beer. Service is great, and the guys all loved the big screen for sports, to watch the hockey game....Truly a great English Pub. read more

Excellent homemade food and quality beer selection served at just the perfect temperature. The staff and owner are some of the friendliest people ive ever met. We come here often to relax or enjoy an listening to someone play some tunes on guitar (every friday and saturday i believe) quiz nights are thursday nights. Always in good company if you come here!
