This is not to be confused with a spa or a waxing salon. This is a Brazilian bikini/bathing suit store that has a waxing table where the dressing room should be. It was a strange experience that took a really long time to complete for a full leg wax no bikini. They use hardening wax which personally like. Osiani offers many different waxing options and has great Groupon deals. It's a small place. I had a little trouble finding it, expecting it to have it's own store front. It's located inside a mini mall, first shop on the right. The reception area is in the front of the mini mall, but they have a waxing room in the back. I had my first Brazilian wax here and it's definitely not as bad as people make it seem, or at least with Osiani. It was quick and thorough, about 20 minutes. They use their own hard wax and use a new applicator with each application of the wax. Yes, it does hurt a bit your first time when they are pulling the wax and hair off but it's over quickly and there is no residual pain. Personally I'm not impressed. The individuals I dealt with (who were not Osiani herself) were friendly enough, but not very communicative. I've been getting Brazilians for 10+ years and have tried a plethora of shops and varieties of waxes. The hard wax they use here was indeed gentler, an organic Brazilian mix per my aesthetician, but it also takes twice as long to complete vs more traditional strip wax. I felt I was on the table forever, and while yes less painful, the lengthier time to complete just stretched out the discomfort. Communication is sorely lacking, as they want you to text prior to making appointments, but then do not follow-up until a day later. I inquired about possibly extending my final Brazilian wax as I would be traveling, but heard nothing back. I took that as a no. It's like they fell off the face of the earth. Found this place through groupon but good thing I contacted them first because they were not honoring a Brazilian as a true Brazilian with the groupon so I made the appointment without the Groupon, she told me it was $38 for first time clients and $55 after which is not bad . Had the opportunity to get a waxing done by the owner she was fast and got every hair (they use hard wax). My only issue was I wasn't told before hand it's cash only, the receptionist threw that at me at the end. They do a wonderful job of checking in on you about your pain level and the hard wax is not very painful at all. Once it was done it was done, no residual pain which is really nice, no sting afterwards. For this reason, I will be back. The downside is their space is so small, they are in a mini mall, and so the waiting room is just in a hallway. They've done the best they can, but it feels really cramped. It feels a little exposed to be waiting outside in the open in a hallway area shared with other businesses. Messaged them here and got a fast response from the owner. Fortunately, they had a vacant spot right away. My experience was great! No pain at all during the process and the owner was so approachable and welcoming. She did a great job on my wax! She knows her stuff. Plus, I got a discount for my first visit. Downside to this is they're located inside a mini mall. You won't really feel that spa/salon feel when you come in. They try though, by having a little waxing room at the end of the mall.
