Our insulation warranty was supposed to include service to prevent mice from re-entering the attic, yet new openings continue to appear and remain unaddressed. Each time an inspection is done, it takes weeks to schedule a follow-up appointment to actually seal the openings. Recently, after hearing mice again--now with a newborn in our home--we contacted Homeshield immediately. A technician quickly confirmed there were openings near our A/C line that needed to be patched, but for two weeks we were told they couldn't schedule the repair because the technician hadn't submitted the required diagram. When an appointment was finally scheduled, no repair was done--only additional traps were placed in the attic. After escalating the issue, we were told a manager could come re-inspect the home, but not until nearly a month after the initial report. At this point, I'm frustrated by the lack of follow-through and the amount of time I've had to spend chasing updates. We are simply not receiving the service promised under our insulation warranty and monthly maintenance plan, and we will likely be switching vendors soon.
