Inside, the counter for food and the bar are on the left with a long bench with tables on the right and more tables in the middle. There is a half wall with some slot machines behind it and a hallway out to the back with a bathroom. Space is cozy but well done. The guy behind the counter greeted us and gave us the info, we order at the counter with him and get seated and they will call our name. We can order at the bar or the bartender will come out to take orders. She came out and took our order, she was friendly as was the guy behind the food counter. I got the American Smash with no American and shared fries with my husband. There were a lot of fries! The burger came out correctly, it was great, I might order just a single patty next time, but that is all I normally eat even on a smash burger. The pickle was great. They are known for the smash burger, and it is a good representation. While we ate our burger and fries, someone had ordered a pizza and they slid it on the pan right there, it smelled and looked so good, we couldn't leave without ordering one. We ordered the Suzy Q to take home. Chatted with the guy making the pizza's, being nosy and he was super friendly and told us about the building and how it was built around the pizza oven, so interesting! A few things that were off-putting for me were the overabundance of cigarette smoke, water down rail drinks, the lighting was a bit too dark, causing my eyes to strain, and the wings I ordered were heavily caked in the sauce. Looking past these few flaws, the staff was 100% professional, warm and welcoming. I was making my overall experience a 7 out of 10. Instead of a manager, they sent out a bouncer who told us it "wasn't up to him, it's up to the DJ." When I asked to speak to the DJ directly to clarify what happened, I was kicked out instead. No one ever explained the inconsistent pricing, no one tried to resolve it, and the music wasn't even good enough to justify any of this. Save your money and go somewhere else -- there are much better spots out there that won't nickel-and-dime you at the door and then refuse to talk to you about it.
