We stayed at Osprey Point at the end of August 2023. We had booked months in advance. Our plan was to stay in our 32' 5th Wheel in a site next to a cabin rented by our friends. I was concerned that the site was too small, but after numerous calls to the property, I was never able to speak with anyone. When we arrived, we realized we were not going to fit. Even if the pad had been long enough, our slide out would have impacted the family living in the site next door. They had a pop-up trailer and a canopy. We spoke with management, and they said we could move to a lakeview site. We pulled around to the site and found someone had parked their truck on the pad. Management was not willing to call a tow company. After waiting 3 hours, we set up in a different site. The next morning, we moved into our assigned spot. The site, A6, fit our rig nicely, was level and had a great view of the lake. All of the sites seemed close to neighbors except A7, which seemed like the premier spot. This property is run down and needs a lot of maintenance. The cabin our friends had reserved had a rotting deck and worn out furnishings. This park hosts a lot of full time residents. We ate at the Pub one night and had excellent service and a pretty good meal. Osprey Point Resort is adjacent to a county park that was a nice place to walk our dog. While we found staff and the residents all very friendly, we won't be staying here again. read more

So we read the reviews here on yelp and while some of them are not great ,Some reviews just seemed sort of SNOOTY so we decided to go ahead and book a Cabin here at Osprey Point Resort anyways. Here is just an honest review. The office staff here are very friendly, patient and helpful. We went up to the pub and had some pizza and it was better than we expected! Shout out to our lovely tattooed waitress you are fantastic! The grounds are clean and the grass is mowed. The showers were hot with great water pressure and clean. There is tetherball and volleyball for the kids they even had a ball for the kids to use! Teen Kids love the game room with the pool table! The cabins are a bit dated and some things could use a coat of paint and some stain. However ours was clean and well stocked. Cabins are not five star and they are small but overall a great value if you are on a budget. We came for the sand dunes and not the lake. There is no direct access to the dunes that we could find, but its not too far from spinreel day use. Some reviewers complained about long time residents in the park, well maybe there are some here, but the park is quiet at night, no one seems to have an abundance of junk around their nice RV's and everyone seems friendly. Overall all this is a pretty nice place! Not 5 star but also not deserving of some of the other crappy reviews. We will book again! read more

Definitely run down and needs lots of TLC. Lots of pot holes around the campsites, broken down picnic tables and there is a strange group of Rvs around the park that are very old which is an eye sore to the park.. The spaces are very tight and small. The coffee however is very good and they do have a small bar with food that seems to be good. read more

This is my 2nd review of the osprey management and the owner. My first one was months ago when I left on my own because of the poor service and the disrespect as a good customer. After my review posted the manager told staff that I was kicked our because she didn't like my review. I had left on my own pretty unprofessional. After months had gone by I decided to go to the osprey to meet with friends. When I ordered my drink the same manager stated she would not serve unless I would meet with her. I replied, I did nothing wrong ever in this place and was a good customer. She refused to serve me and I stated I was insulted by her actions. It was clear to me she felt superior to me. To disrespect me because of my age and being cripple. I told her to call the police to justify her action to force me to leave. She then left to call the owner and return to stated that the owner support her actions. I asked to talk toe owner she refused. I again told her to call the police which said she would because she has the right to refuse me service and did not have to justify reason. Looking up the law on the right to refuse service and found that it is against the law to refuse service without justification. It discrimination! Sounds like the owner and this unprofessional manage better learn their job. In the meantime the recalled mayor and her husband were at the bar. The recalled mayor began running around telling the manager to kick me out and call the police. Causing a disruption and attacking my character. I stated this did not involved her and her husband began to shake his finger at me to not speck to them. I stood up and shook my finger at him telling not to shake his finger at me. He then puffed out his chest and raised the pool stick in his had towards me. I said he could hit the cripple old man. He backed down. He suppose to be involved with the local fire department. No respect towards me as I became cripple while performing first response duty's at a 4 car accident. The manager did nothing. The last time I was threaten was once at the bar a man who was completely inebriated seating next to me. He should have been asked to leave. But instead this same manager gave him another beer. He kept bothering me and others, telling me he was going to kick my ass. Later I found out later he was a retaliative of the manager. But, yet I get refused service for no justification, that's discrimination. The manager still stated she would call the police to have me removed. I left insulted, with a strong defamation of my character. Shall file a complain to the federal ADA and State liquor folks. read more

US Military Veteran owned park. This reviewer is a retired disabled vet. I am happy to give great reviews to vets (and I do give positive reviews) and hate to give poor ones but this one gets a poor one... Stayed two weeks at this overpriced RV park but was willing to come back and stay a month, even with the non existent wifi, overpriced propane, dogs off leash and digging holes next to our spot, dilapidated spots and facilities and non working washers and dryers. Even put a 100 deposit down and that is what got me here...had to cancel the month stay, called and gave 2.5 months notice and they refuse to refund. Not annotated on their policies page nor is it told to you before you make the reservation. Only after the fact and buried on their receipt. So no refund, this is an absolute policy I was told by the nice lady Debbie in the office whom I feel very sorry for. I know I wouldn't want to deliver that news to those on a budget trying to get by in these tough times. But hey, here we are in capitalist just out for me times. So long Osprey all the veterans sites and other review areas will see me sooner then you will. Bummer. read more

The campground is adequate, but that's about it. Puncture vines everywhere --dried up, but all over the dog. Our 10 lb poodle was attacked by another dog who was in a leash, but under NO ONE's control. 5 puncture wounds. Several dogs off leash--no consequence. We heard of 3 other dog attacks before we left! It's a miracle our dog is still alive. We will never go back there. read more

This is a horrible place for families to camp. The Owner , Chris Barnett, has no refund policy so when you realize that there is sewage leaking and pot holes everywhere, you cannot get a refund. I complained on day 2 but he is sure that I didn't. He accused me of not knowing how to operate my RV. Never offered an apology for a 10 day stay that was spent inside our RV because the sewer smell was so bad we couldn't enjoy the outside. The employees are afraid they will get fired if they complain. He offered me a boat ride to make me happy instead of compensating me by offering an upgrade next year or a free night 10 years from now. He has no business integrity or common sense. It's very sad they people with money can disrespect everyday people. Just don't go and expect to enjoy your time. read more

This used to be a pleasant and tidy spot to camp. We made reservations for this weekend and found---after we arrived---that the bathrooms/showers were closed and had been for months, the office was closed and no one was available to check us in, the grounds were unkempt and our site and utility hook-up were littered with dog poop. In 2 days I found one worker in a golf cart, but he couldn't tell me if the bathrooms would ever reopen. I've been camping here since the 1990s, but I will not go back. The price is the same as that of a terrifically maintained RV park a few miles down the road at Winchester Bay. Next time, I'll stay there instead. read more

I would not recommend this if you are a camper. This is one of those places that clearly has a mix of people who live here and the ones that are clearly living here are drunk and obnoxious in the bar. In addition a group of old men meet you when you pull in to tell you how to park and set up your trailer and don't stop even when you tell them to go because you know what you are doing. We ordered pizza the first night and it took 2 hours and we got the wrong pizza and they offered no compensation for the time or error. And at the end of all of it the pizza was less than mediocre. The only good thing is the location and the laundry room. Save yourself the headache and find another rental. Despite what the business owner would like to state. This was not a bad day on my part but hey way to blame the customer instead of taking responsibility. read more

Great atmosphere, reasonable rates, excellent staff! This is a must stay if you love the Oregon coast. Close to Tugman state park, Umpqua lighthouse, all kinds of dunes, lake Marie. And they have a great pub and pizza place on-site with an incredible hometown atmosphere. Also an on-site little store with a coffee shop. Deer come right into the camp sites. Dog friendly! Great big field to walk them in. Right on the lake. Boat rentals. I would visit every year! read more

RV spaces are pretty small, but 40' still fits, and enough room for one vehicle. Clean bathrooms and laundry. Staffing shortage right now, but that's pretty normal these days. The staff that are working are nice and helpful. 750$ monthly 300$ weekly... just raised the prices :(. Pretty quiet, dog friendly. I have already booked for next summer. If the owners put in a little more money and finished paving spaces and maybe some "real" grass could be top notch. I'm not too uptown so it was fine by me. Temperature was perfect! Visited the bar.. pretty nice decent prices. Pizza was ok. read more

I would prefer to give this a negative star rating if possible. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE. First of all when we arrived at the site we were assigned to A6 (after being given our "packet" by an old guy in a golf cart because the office closed early-- they said because of the Governor) we noticed the rig in A7 had it's sewer hose disconnected and laying on the ground while sewage was dripping from the black tank. We immediately moved as far as we could from him. My husband and I ended up ruining our shoes after stepping in so much goose poop!! It was disgusting. The internet never worked. When I went into the office in the morning to pay our balance, I was greeted by a very disagreeable manager and a woman who was on the phone the entire time. I tried talking to her but she would not listen. We paid for a premium spot by the lake and all of those were covered in goose poop. I suggested that I understood they cannot control the geese but maybe they could hose off the spots. They said this was not possible. I did leave without paying the balance and the last thing I heard from the manager was, "Don't come back to Oregon." I received a call a few minutes later that they were going to call the Sheriff if I didn't pay the bill because of theft of services!! I authorized the payment by telephone. This establishment needs to learn about Customer Service. If you can possibly avoid it, DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK. It is in a nice setting but obviously something in missing on the management side. read more

Update: Called management since I still haven't received my certificate they promised. He said "well it looks like it worked out in our favor because since you left that terrible terrible review on our website, the owners have advised us not to honor the certificate after all." Omg! Enough said. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint. They will most likely reply to this review once again with some excuse and not take any accountability for their actions, just like all the other negatively impacted customers who have complained. Will never go back. Reserved the Country Manor Cabin for the weekend of August 11th for my birthday and the place was awful! Took me two weeks of messages and a final lucky call to get ahold of a manager. No one can sleep on the pull out bed because the bars of the frame are jabbing your back, the pots and pans were all scratched up and very cheap, they just replaced the ramp out front and it had nails sticking out of it which made a hazard for us and our kids. It's VERY old and shouldn't be rented out anymore until they remodel it. Just an all around disgusting feel there. Customer service at the pub is terrible as well. The lady in the office even said she hates renting this cabin out because it's so old and gross, if EMPLOYEES are validating me, there's something wrong here. Manager wouldn't refund my second night (since we left early due to how uncomfortable we were), he did however offer us a half off stay in the future. I refused and told him I was not happy and to write the certificate for anyone so I could gift it. He said he had never heard of a dissatisfied customer at that cabin, interesting! This is NOT an RV resort, it is a campground, but not a nice one. Short spaces, very narrow lanes between, looks to be 80-90% permanent residents. WIFI does not work at all, not even in the bathrooms next to the office. They have a poorly stocked store, which we were only able to use once out of five attempts as they were closed during times they were supposed to be open (or at least the times they wrote on our paperwork they would be open). Pictures on their website show pretty green grass everywhere, but it's actually long since died and ignored since those were taken. We will NOT be returning, or would we recommend this place to anyone. read more

There are many long term trailers parked here that are trashed (and unoccupied). Some of the sites have grassy areas, but most just have mowed weeds. There is a cafe/bar in site that has pretty decent food. It could be a nice park if they cleared out the trashed trailers... but they haven't! read more

Mostly quiet, the view is ok if you are lucky enough to get a spot with a view. RVs are packed tightly together, can hear your neighbor snoring. Been to over 55 different RV parks, never have I been to a park that does NOT have 24hr access to showers or restrooms, shameful. Sorry excuse of some altercation a while ago. Now the bathrooms are LOCKED at 2200 opened at 0600, terribly shameful, no excuse. If desperate stay here, otherwise continue on down the road for some better RV accommodations. read more

We've been with the Resort as paid members since 2005 where my family, friends and business associates have frequented on many occasions. As members we bought in with contractual elements such as Lakefront parking, and lifetime storage. We have paid our annual maintenance fees and seen the resort go from a pristine destination to a subpar and 2 star resort as a result of seeming lack of upkeep and care. There were resident RV units allowed into the park that appear beyond the ability to travel or be moved. Now the new owners of the resort Barnett Resorts LLC take possession and immediately attack the members who help financially found the park by canceling memberships. Note membership cancelations are even after they accept and deposit the members annual maintenance fees! Reports from other members having conversations with Mr. Chris Barnett have all met the same combative and insulate nature results from the inquires. I highly recommend your stay would be more enjoyable at the County Park or North Lake Results where the hosts and staff are warm and welcoming! It appears Mr. Barnett is only out to separate you from your money, with no value or appreciation of your patronage. It's best to earn a living honestly not plunder the RVers that trust for a fair and equitable treatment! read more

If you have any ideas of staying here don't. The park is terribly run down. There are a lot of unoccupied trashy old trailers on the north side of the bathrooms. A lot of the electrical hookup boxes are broke and falling over. At the check in desk inside the store you are greeted by the owners of which are very unfriendly made me feel very uncomfortable and could use a few lessons in public relations read more

This is by far the best resort we have ever stayed. Everything is very well maintained and clean. We use our own shower and bathroom, so we were not affected by the reasonable shower building hours. We did check out the building and found it very clean and newly painted. I can understand why they would protect their showers being that nice. The lake is amazing. Lots of fishing and water activities. We saw some deer walk through the resort at night, even with our camp fire going. The sites are pretty spacious as we have four slide outs and still had room for a tent and picnic table. We will definitely be back again. Every resort we stay at after here has been a big disappointment, can't wait to come back. read more

Stayed here over 15 years ago and it was so well kept, I bought a deeded lot in a section the owner was selling. Built a small location for my RV. Enjoyed it, the community and surrounding activities. We have/had and HOA filed with the county in 1998 with CC&R's and By laws, stating how much and where our monthly fees went; water, sewer, trash and $5/mo to a road maintenance fund. New owners, Chris and Stephanie Barnett, "supposedly" bought the resort summer 2017. Told over 75 private lot owners that there was no HOA, there was no money in the road maintenance fund, we would have to pay a resort fee and they could charge anything they want. Naturally, they are in litigation over this and other illegal activity. Stay at the rv park at your own risk. NOT a place for kids, a weekend hangout at the bar for homeless and drunks. read more

I would give this park a better review if it weren't for the owner, Kelly. Her bedside manner has a lot to be desired and made the initial check in a little uncomfortable. However, we had a wonderful campsite, A 10, which I felt was the best in the park. Some of the park is a little rundown with people that stay there for lengths of time. We were right on the lake and a canal. The weather was great. And we met some really nice people. This is a place I would NOT go back to because of the owners! It was clean and they did have laundry facilities, but it's just one of those places that didn't make me feel real comfortable. Right next-door was Tenmile County Park which was extremely rundown but the prices were extremely good and they had water and electrical hook ups. They have one central dump station. You could use the laundry facilities at the Osprey RV Park, if you desired. For a one night stay, I would take Tenmile County Park over Osprey Park anytime. read more

Well, the original owners finally sold the park but the person who bought it won't let the members who paid to join the park stay there at a reduced rate like the paperwork states. We joined over 12 years ago and have stayed there almost every year since for at least a few months. When we tried to make reservations for this year, we were told that we could only make them if we paid the same amount as non members ! I wish I knew of a lawyer who could help us - after all the money we have paid into the place it is not right that we have to pay the full amount. We may have to go elsewhere for our couple of months on the coast. I am a Viet Nam veteran in my 70s and also handicapped - it would be nice to stay in the park we joined but they may be pricing us out!!!! read more
