It is, in fact, so much better than the second-best motel that I don't even know what the second-best motel I've been to is! Not only is the Itty Bitty Inn now a must-stay for me on my next trip up the Oregon Coast, but it is so great that it has dramatically increased the likelihood that I will be driving back up the Coast soon. I'm still shocked that the Lonely Planet guide didn't mention it. Rick (the owner) is the coolest. The first thing that he did was give my friend and I a rundown of Coos Bay hotspots. Then he showed us to our beautifully decorated and upholstered rooms - we had the two Tiki-themed rooms, each of which had too much detail to even be done justice by a picture. He proceeded to then pour us complementary beers and directed us to the outdoor patio for lounging and decompression after our trip. I felt like the King of France! I now absolutely need to stay in every one of the rooms for at least a night (there are 5 total, each with a different theme). This is no trivial feat, as apparently new complete redesigns are always in the planning stages. I can't wait to see the place next time I'm in town!!!

Upon arrival we were welcomed with vibrant exterior colors and beautifully detailed murals, bright flowers, clean grounds, a buzzing neon inn sign and the most friendly hosts we could've asked for. The sign in process was personable, friendly, and easy going. The "lobby" offers gifts, drinks, local nik naks and much more! Rik the owner initially showed us our room which was the terrapin station "Grateful Dead" room. He was kind enough to explain the inns and outs of certain things throughout the room such as the record player and taking off our shoes to maintain the wellness of the space. Once we were settled in he offered us a complimentary locally sourced beverage of our choice. During our stay we genuinely enjoyed every second of it. The bed was cozy, records were turning, and relaxation was at a max! Can't express enough how grateful we are to have stumbled upon this lovely establishment. Peace and love brotha!

Its a lovely location with comfortable, clean rooms right on the river. We walked around the property in the evening to settle our nerves and slept well. In the morning, I let the innkeeper know the tow truck would come to get the car. I asked if I could purchase something for our breakfast since we only had snacks for dinner...She found some oranges and oatmeal. A half hour later, she and her husband arrived with hot plates loaded with pancakes, hash browns and sausage for us. What amazing generosity! It got us started on a positive note as we waited for a tow truck and wondered how we would get to our homes in Santa Cruz, CA. I highly recommend the inn and the people who operate it, too.

In this case, a small strip between the building and the parking lot. There is no central heating or cooling. There are small heaters in each room. The staff were friendly and quickly checked us in. My party had two rooms. Both were well furnished and clean. The decor was nice and the furniture was in good condition. We spent 5 days enjoying the many activities Bandon Dunes has to offer…read more We started on the Bandon Dunes course. It was beautiful and a great way to get a feel for what's to come. With some holes near the ocean and some inland, it provided a links style course. Lots of sand, open fairways. The next day we did Bandon Trails. This was more inland. Only the first hole had views of the ocean. The course was tighter than the others so accuracy was good. It was the hilliest and toughest to walk. I took a day off but husband golfed Sheep Ranch. We walked the first hole later that night (after the golfers were done) so I could see it. It was much flatter and more open than any of the other courses. You can see the ocean on every hole on Sheep Ranch. Whales were blowing water nearby. Very pretty. Next day was Pacific Dunes. This one was my favorite. It had lots of ocean views. With more par 3s, it was a par 71. The holes were beautiful. Our final course was Bandon Preserve which was a par 3, 13 hole course. What a great way to practice in real time on your short game. Again, stunning views. Forward tees were all about 5000 yds which was a good distance. I played some of my best golf and was able to reach many greens in regulation so I was very happy with the distance and layout. Green were in great shape. We took advantage of the practice facility before rounds. The pulled pork sandwich near the range was a delicious lunch. We also played the Punch Bowl several times. It was a great way to end the day with a cocktail and a casual experience of golf. We ate at all the major restaurants and they were excellent. Rodney was my caddie and he rocked! He knew the course well and was a huge asset to my game and experience. Everyone we encountered was professional, helpful, welcoming. I can't wait to come back. We had so much fun!

Both times we were greeted by a friendly young woman at the guard post who smiled and waved, which honestly set the tone for the whole visit. After a lovely walk and lunch at the amazing Ghost Tree Grill, we stopped on our way out to chat with her. I've never really seen anyone stationed there before, so curiosity got the best of me. I asked her all kinds of random questions about the trees we'd seen, the nature around the area, and whether she'd eaten at any of the restaurants. She was genuinely happy to answer everything I threw at her. Her name was Azer. Having someone at that post who's warm, welcoming, and willing to answer even the silliest questions really matters it makes the whole experience feel more personal. Hopefully we'll see her again next time. Good job, Bandon. Thank you.

The maintenance guy and the front office staff were on the rude side. Like we were inconveniencing them. The location of the trash is right next to all the cabins and smells rancid. The cabins were not mopped clean family had 4 cabins and everyone complained about black feet from the floors. The beach was the highlight and it was nice they had several cabins to put us all together. If your going To the dunes to ride this camp isn't ride friendly.
