Mainly a mountain biker trail, though we were hiking it was still a friendly trail- as we just made sure to stand aside giving the right away- the trail has a good mix of terrain in terms of hills, water views, mini rock climbing, making it a hearty hike without being too challenging. It provided very beautiful views, and a lot of switchback trails to explore-making each hike possible to have a different experience. A very nice visit! Would be great to use as a jogging trail!

It ended up being such a pleasant surprise. Even though they're under construction, it was great to discover another "upstate" spot that still charges around $7 per bowler per game. We literally drive 45 minutes up here because bowling in lower Westchester or CT can run close to $100 for just two people Really happy to have found a more affordable, laid-back option and excited to see how it looks once the renovations are finished!

They did a great job of getting us our shoes and any other questions that we had about the lanes or balls getting stuck. It was packed because of the fundraiser and we were on like every lane, probably five or six people deep on every lane. Because of that it is very easy for us to complain about the way things were, but they handled our crowd easily. If you are looking to have an event or a gathering, this place can handle it. You can go to somewhere else to have an event but it doesn't mean that when they are packed to the gills that they can handle it.

I'm not sure if there's another entrance to this park, but the main entrance features a nice sized parking lot, picnic tables, small boat rental area and the dock to the pond. Don't be fooled by the pond- you can't take the plunge as there's no swimming allowed- plus it's filled with lily pads and other plant life. Boat rentals only take place Saturdays and Sundays for a small fee and a Westchester County Park Pass isn't required to enter. For boat rental however, you do get a leg up on savings with your pass. Any other info, check online. We claimed a picnic table to enjoy our pastries and played cards under the teees. This was a nice spot to wind down- just be sure to respect Nature and the area where you are and keep it clean.

In truth, Travis Hill Park, is by no means Central Park but it does the job. It's just a straight up park with an open field that draws people to several sport events such as soccer, volleyball and basketball in the warm months. When I want to really sweat it out and hit the pavement without doing a class at the gym, Travis Hill Park does the job and get s real good workout.

These locations are on the state line of New York and Connecticut. My Dad would take me fishing at Greenwich Point. We had huge family picnics in the area with grills and benches. I remember hanging hammocks in the trees. As kids we ran and played building up our appetite. I've got many historic photos from over the years. Summertime at Greenwich Point is the best! Beautiful big rolling waves, infinite views, the wildlife, flowers and clean ocean breeze off the Atlantic Ocean versus the rocky rough sand and wimpy wavelets of the Long Island Sound. It's a nice place for picnics but the last time I was there they kicked people out right before sunset so I couldn't even enjoy the view.

Please people clean up after your dog so others can enjoy and not have to worry about "land mines".
