Love this place, hidden gem of Oswego
    Lara S.

Have been coming on and off here since we moved back in '03. Food is always good and consistent. Cash only, no biggie. Smaller place just enjoy your family and relax type of atmosphere. But if you want a timely breakfast or sensible order placement so the kitchen doesn't get backed up and a family of three is waiting over and hour to get food. Thankfully I ordered my daughters right away, she has eaten and been finished for roughly 10 mins now and a few mins ago we were told it will be another 10/15 mins after the 45 mins we've already waited. Now I remembered why we stopped supporting this little gem.

Good food wish I had a bigger stomach to try more when I was there but I'll def be there again. Staff was kind and fun the woman that took our order asked if I was kidding when I began ordering this much food haha. It was busy but they were able to get us a place to sit regardless which was nice. 10/10

This little diner is my favorite breakfast spot in this part of the Chicago Suburbs and the Aurora area. Be sure and take note of the specials. When they have something with sausage, it is homemade, and doesn't taste like the stuff that comes from the grocery store. I've also seen Quiche, Fritada, Empanadas, Red Velvet French Toast, Crab Cakes, Beef Bourguignon, and other specials. The thing with the specials though is you can not get there too late because they do run out. I would say be there earlier than noon even on a weekend. If they happen to be out, I recommend the stuffed hash brown or Canadian Breakfast. The stuffed hash brown is similar to a breakfast skillet but the items are rolled up in a hash brown. Apparently, the Owner Chef Nick is the driving force behind the creativity and innovation that goes into the menu. I always come later though, so it is his worthy Son who I see behind the grill. Please be aware that it is cash only. However, the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous.

Excellent breakfast, love the race track memorabilia. Friendly service. This is a cash only restaurant, which wasn't a problem for me.

Have passed by George's for years but never thought to check it out but now I know that it is a great diner. We went in on a Saturday a little after 11:30am and were pleasantly surprised that they were able to accommodate our big group of 14 all together even though they had a decent amount of people already in the restaurant. We really thought we were going to have to be in a couple of different booths but they put a couple of tables together so that we could all sit together. I got to a see a great mix of food orders thanks to being in such a big group and everyone enjoyed all of their choices as far as I could tell. We had a sampling of breakfast plates, skillets, mini waffles, pancakes, chilaquiles and even a hamburger. I went with the Two Eggs Your Way with hash browns, bacon, and toast. It was a nice breakfast spread with perfectly cooked eggs and bacon. Our server was amazing from start to finish along with the rest of the staff who were patient and kind even though a few people in our party were running behind and we had several kids with us. The welcoming and easygoing vibe of the restaurant made it easy to see why my sister-in-law comes so often for big family meals and why my brother has become a fan too.

They do tend to get really busy on the weekends and even then the service never fails. They have very attentive staff that treats you nicely. Their coffee is always hot and food is cooked to order. I love their Nutella crepes though I do have to take my own walnuts because that's one thing they don't carry.

The warm atmosphere, the cozy décor...it wasn't just a restaurant, it was a hug with a menu. Now let me give Miss Dee her flowers because she absolutely earned them. She was attentive, patient, and so kind. The menu was HUGE, I mean, enough options to have me questioning every life decision I'd ever made, and she happily helped us narrow it down without making us feel rushed. We love a server who knows her stuff. Honestly, I'm surprised this place wasn't packed wall to wall because the service, atmosphere, and food deserved a full house. Can we PLEASE talk about that ranch? Somebody's grandma has to be back there guarding the recipe because there is no way that came out of a bottle. Every bite was a little flavor explosion that had me dunking everything I could find. Then came the cream of chicken and rice soup. Whew. They didn't bring me a cup, they brought me what felt like a warm hug in a bowl. Rich, comforting, and so nostalgic it had me wondering if my grandma had secretly been hired in the kitchen. And the portions? Oh, baby...come hungry. Matter of fact, skip breakfast, cancel lunch, and maybe do a little stretch beforehand because they are FEEDING people here. I don't think I've ever been that full in my life, and somehow I was still trying to figure out if I had room for one more bite. Every dish tasted like comfort, love, and childhood memories all rolled into one. This was easily one of the most nostalgic meals I've had in a long time. Needless to say, I'll be back...probably wearing stretchy pants next time.
