There's an al fresco option and garage door-style window seating indoors where one can watch the al fresco diners! Overall, fun concept; but not really a friendly place for one person who wants good food, quiet space, and room to read a book. Order before sitting. Menu is small & offers pub-style dining options with a gourmet CA twist. **Special Note: cooking oil is RICE BRAN & it's delicious, so order the tater tots & be prepared to toss out your epi-pen while having your taste buds delighted! The oil must be light, so the tots were crispy with a sweetness that highlighted the potato flavor. OMG... I'm drooling as a write this review & craving more of the rice bran cooking oil tater tots! I had the BLT without mayo (just in case it contained my allergen). The bread, giant butter lettuce leaf, & thick hunks of tomato ensured the the sandwich was moist. The bacon was quite thick & delicious. I don't drink beer, but when in Rome... I ordered the baby beer glassful of beer. A Fantastic selection of meals. We decided to switch it up this time. We are new to the area and have felt welcomed from day one. If you want me to do you a favor, order the mushroom sandwich. I won't give too much information on it. You won't be disappointed. The service staff is always helpful in suggesting food items or beverages on tap. BUT, after trying one of their sours and deciding to take the hour long drive to get to their brewery in Seaside, my wife was denied being served anything with alcohol because she didn't have her ID on her (she's 50!). We offered a picture of the ID that I had on my phone and we're still offered only non-alcoholic drinks. The server who delivered this news, and could not be swaded, only offered "consistency" as an excuse. I have mad respect for workers in the food industry, BUT (once again) it's not like my wife was 23 and I myself am 55. I assume this issue became so important to them because THEY served minors in the past. We are clearly not minors and drove a long way to support the local craft beer scene. We will NEVER come back. Our team was in town for work. We arrived for beer and some bar/pub-like food.... Very open, spacious with very high ceilings. Not very busy when we arrived (1700 hours). The beer that was recommended was very good! I ordered the fries, and salad; my friend ordered the corn beef sandwich. Unfortunately, the fries were heavily saturated in cheese; we could not see what the other toppings were. The salad was ok.... The corn beef was not very good.... Our other members ordered food as well. Unfortunately for one our members the food was not palatable so he returned it; staff made good on the bad experience by reimbursing him the money which was a very nice touch. Santa Cruz vibes in Seaside! The staff are cool and so friendly. They have so many different beers on tap (which your welcome to sample in little shot glasses) and also some available in cans to go in the cooler. I tried their Rice Water, it's a lighter beer, I really liked it and would get it again. I also really like their Pilsners. Love the open air design of the restaurant and patio outside front. Also love that they provide a big selection of games for families to play and hangout with their kids. Their food is really good too. The OG Smash burger was delicious. I love batter fried onions rings and theirs are very good and a big portion too. Although I wish they would offer malt vinegar for the onion rings. I normally don't like waffle fries but these are good, a thicker cut so they're soft in the middle and not super crunchy. We really liked the wings too, not your traditional buffalo wings but I like their spin on it with a dry rub. Upstairs a couple of 50 cent pinball machines and 2 large tables, enough room for a pool table please. We came back for pizza night we got the pepperoni. Had to come here for a work function. We had a good time. Upstairs was wide open so we moved everyone up there. The beer is good no issues. The food is very basic - and a good thing because they focus on the beer. It's just a few hold over items. They have an assortment of games you can play while there - that's cool. When you need to reorder you have to go back up to the counter but it usually is open with no wait or one person in line. No real interaction with most of the staff other than the cashier/beertender. They seemed to know about the beers they have and are able to guess what you might like. Try clean and well lighted. Parking is in the street or across the street in the parking lot by BWW. There are about 6 picnic bench tables outside in a covered awning, indoor booths, indoor tables, and indoor counter stools facing the street. There is also seating upstairs. Volume is pretty loud inside and out when busy, but not too crazy to bring my kids earlier in the day. I haven't been to the night events (Tuesday trivia, Wednesday Bingo, etc.) but my husband says they are fun, just louder and more crowded as you would expect. They offer a kids freezie drink in addition to two adult freezies that change out. The beers are also seasonal, so if you like something on tap you should grab some tall cans before they are gone. Food has changed quite a bit since they opened but their kitchen makes tasty options when available. Pop ups often happen with outside food, but waits are often pretty long for those events, so just be ready to spend a long visit just in case (the recent ramen pop up ended up taking 2 hours to order and receive food for example). Staff is friendly and quick, and inside is very clean. I don't think the picnic tables get cleaned outside though. Overall a great local spot for beer and bar food! read more

OMG Y'all a delightful Smashburger has finally made it to our area. It goes without saying that our food scene is a little bit behind and hard to find good quality food. They have truly outdone their self with the Smashburger and the brioche buns. The pickles are the best and the waffle fries are great as well. The chicken sandwich was huge and little overcooked with the breading just too crunchy to eat. I think if they made the pieces of chicken smaller than they wouldn't cook it as long. We also had the dry rubbed wings which were great. I believe that they are smoked and they had a great nice hint of smokiness and the rub is flavorful just needs a little bit of salt. The atmosphere is so nice and the vibes are great. They even have a pinball machine as well as games for the family to play. I was on the hunt for a pint on my drive up the coast, and was very happy to have found this place. Other Brother Beer is in a cool building right on the main drag in Seaside, and I love the bright, casual, retro sort of look and vibe they got going on. There is plenty of seating, including an upstairs area with some pinball machines, and two pet-friendly outdoor seating areas. The beer selection was great, covering most of the basics, and I took the opportunity to have a flight and some pints. The Strata Smash was a hoppy pale ale I quite liked. The 4th Anniversary, a double west coast IPA, is very delicious. And the Del Monte Express, a hazy double IPA, was a pleasant surprise, as it tasted much more like a west coast than a hazy. Definitely recommend it. The Sunbelt, a rye IPA has excellent flavor with a bit of a bite to it. But by far my favorite beer was the Ray Gun, a west coast IPA that was simply outstanding! Lots of their beer is available to-go in cans, should you want some for the road. If you happen to not be in the mood for beer, they do serve wine, as well as boozy frozen slushies made from their kettle sour. Food is available, mostly assorted appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. Although all I had on this day was an order of fries, I will make sure to snag some lunch next visit. They also have a bunch of cool merch for sale, ranging from standard stickers, t-shirts, and hats, to bottles of wine and olive oil from local producers. Prices are pretty typical, about $8 per pint and starting around $14 for most food entrees. Service here was great, with the crew being exceptionally friendly and helpful. Only real downside I found was the parking situation, with most available spaces being curbside spots scattered around the block, but this was a fairly minor gripe. All in all, Other Brother is an awesome brew stop that's left a great impression, and I will certainly be looking forward to stopping by again when next I'm cruising the coast. I also ended up getting the smash burger and the chicken wings. The wings come with a salty and slightly spicy rub which was a unique experience. I was thrilled from the beginning to the end with the communication from Chloe right away, as well as when I arrived early that day to check out the venue before my couple arrived. They were welcoming, smiling, ready to serve me, and were equally excited for my couple and their family arriving later that evening. They put a "Private Event" sign out for walk-in guests, so my party was taken care of. Went to OBB today (Sunday) and my wife--who qualifies for the senior discount at every grocery store--got carded for a beer. We've been here many times after they first opened. Went for their brunch and it was just okay. I got the Belgian waffle and added chicken to it. Waffle was fine but came with a clump of cold butter on top so it was not easily spreadable.
