I've been meaning to visit here for ages, glad I finally did. I'm a huge fan of this place. The vibe is lively and chill. Service is lovely. Solid selections of beverages. I had a pizza with non-dairy cheese. The crust was outstanding, with a great chew, just-right char, some of the better thin-crust pizza I've had. My one constructive suggestion is they could up their non-dairy cheese game. The binders in standard non-dairy cheese have a subpar texture when they melt. Miyoko's makes a fabulous cashew-based mozzarella pizza cheese that eschews binders and is a dense liquid rather than solid, and it's a remarkably good substitute for real mozzarella di bufala. Local chain Pizza My Heart uses it, and I wish more restaurants did, and I'm on a one-man mission to nudge them to at least consider it. But either way, I'll be back, as the Terminator famously said.

What a great local pizza place! Their dough is soooo good, that's where it all starts. But then mix that with amazing toppings, it's a win-win every time! And then there's the beer, not only do they have some great brews of their own, they also feature beers from other local brewers that know what they're doing as well! We ordered the Lemon Artichoke Pesto and the Legend, both were amazing and were full of flavor and amazing topping combinations. The service was fast and the bartenders had great personalities and made you feel at home. I liked the place so much, I bought the t-shirt! The place has a great vibe, with many locals hanging out and meeting there. Don't even think about it, just go, you'll love it.

The food was amazing! The pizza was cooked to perfection and all the toppings were fantastic. The crust was also delicious will be coming back to try more of their pizzas. Nice little vibe inside as well went during a World Cup game and they had the game on all the tvs which was nice!

Stopping by if you're in the area, the pizza is great. The ambience is great. Everything about it is great. Come on by. If you're ever in the area, you'll find me, Biff, Tony, Jolina, and Chito.

    - plenty of side and street parking - small interior but we got to to and ate by the beach! (1) the legend pizza - loved this! So so yummy. The dough was perfectly floppy, thin, and had a flavor like sourdough? The tomato sauce underneath had an acidic kick which paired well with the salty meats and creamy cheese topping (2) prosciutto and melon - average dish it was a good refreshing starter, the oil drizzled on top was a little too much for me!

This cute brewing restaurant located in downtown pacific grove is highly recommended. Grab a beer on tap and some fresh food. Yum

Panuozzo: Basically a pizza crust with sandwich ingrediants inside, ate way more than I should have

Perfect lunch in Pacific Grove. We love this area of Monterey and after a recent trip to the aquarium we came here for lunch and then took the kids to the Great Tidepool area of Alisomar State beach. It's located on that main street where all the main restaurants are in Pacific Grove and we really felt like pizza this day. The big thing I want to point out is there dough, it really reminded me of Italian dough, a very deceptively simple taste but a perfect slight chewiness amplified by cooking at very high heat. I dont like crust or dough that much and normally ripe the crust off pizza but I ate every bite here! Toward the back you can see an area where the beer is brewed on site. Panuozzo: Basically a pizza crust with sandwich ingrediants inside. Calabrese, black forest ham, romaine, pickled peppers, tomato, red wine vinegar. The size was pretty large so I split it with my wife and it was so good I ate the large piece she couldn't finish it. Stevo Supreme Pizza: House marinara, Italian sausage, red onion jam, mushrooms, mozzarella, Parmesan. The red onion jam made this a bit more "special" and gave it a unique taste. Would repeat! They seem to change u their pizza menus often. Gem Salad with Hazelnuts: We didn't even have to force the kids to eat this, it was SO good. In the future we would order 2 of these for family of 4. Bee's Knees Honey Blonde Ale: Very good paired with their pizza! And brewed right on site! Service was excellent, we had help very quickly after sitting down and we saw every staff member help rearrange chairs and tables to accommodate a large group.

This was my favorite meal on this trip to Carmel/Monterey. The food is exceptionally high quality, and so is the local beer and cider. Everything we got was finger-licking good and beautifully presented (see pics). The house-made focaccia bread with garlic butter is addictive! Service is exceptional. It felt like we were visiting friends. Two thumbs way up!!

Went in about 530 and found seating at the bar. Ordered wine and the bruschetta. Both fantastic, I really loved how you can order real small bites for $3.50 instead of having to commit to $16 for an appetizer. That alone I would return for. The pizza ordered a little bit later, was also absolutely delicious and very rich in flavor. Not bad cold leftovers either . Was pretty dang crowded by 6pm but I understand why!

The staff was very friendly. The beer was really good. They had pizza that looked amazing. I'll definitely be back to give it a try. The inside of the brewery is aesthetically pleasing as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Stayed nearby and decided to come over for dinner. Very lively on a Wednesday night with a cozy atmosphere. The service was great, you order and pay at the bar before the food is brought to you. The pizzas did take a bit to come out, but when they did, they were amazing! The legend pizza was delicious, with a tasty hot honey flavor. We paired this with the homemade ranch, which was okay -- it kind of reminded us of sour cream. The crust was also a bit flimsy by the time we got to the last piece. The pesto artichoke pizza was our favorite, so refreshing and flavorful! The lemon on it was great without being overpowering. My boyfriend also looooved his beer, the PG Passion Sour! Definitely recommend for anyone in the area!!

My friends and I decided to try this place for lunch after our golf session, and the food was delicious. Nice and cosy inside, and they have a cool patio in the back. Most of us got our own different pizzas and shared some slices. One of my friends got the BLT (nice and big) and some olives. I got the artichoke lemon- pesto ($17)pizza. After tasting it, I didn't want to share anymore, and ate most of it. It had creamy house pesto, artichoke hearts, Parmesan, stracciatella cheese, and lemon zest. Perfect pizza for a hot day, very refreshing and not heavy. Service was very friendly. Definitely a great brewery with some great pizza and food options in. Feels cosy and fun. I'll have to go again when I visit pacific grove.

This is an update/reply to owner on 4/1:…read more I think your reply to me here is making matters worse. You're refusing to take accountability for the fact that you hired an individual who is extremely obnoxious, mouthy, and disrespectful to a customer who is having a problem due to a combination of factors - one being that you closed early on a weekend night, and the other being that a third-party service is failing to do a good job. A third-party service I might add who you have chosen to do business with. As a small business owner myself, as you pointed out, I can assure you, I will never hire a person and allow them to work at my front desk who has the audacity to treat customers as rudely as your employee did. The largest offense here was the behavior of your employee and that is the one thing you have failed to address. There are solutions to the problems you were having - one is as simple as writing a note on your door, letting your customers know that you've chosen to close early that day. Another is refusing to do business with a third-party who is making matters worse rather than better for your business. But the most important thing here is having the care And attention that is required to not hire people capable of being so rude to your customers. Your employee did not make that offer of a pizza until we pointed out that he could have done something better to address the situation rather than giving mouth. But the point here is, we did not want pizza at that time. We wanted the night before when we were in a jam, and by that point, our trust in the food at your store was completely shattered. Because if a person makes a decision to hire someone that is so rude to customers, they may also make the decision to hire a cook who spits in your food. And anyone who fails to understand or address the unacceptable behavior of their employees when it is necessary is indeed a one star establishment. This is an update: A person from Pizza My Way called me a day after I posted my original 1-star review. She was friendly and helpful, and ultimately refunded the $40. I appreciated that. So I brought my review up to 3 stars. However, the situation was seriously unacceptable. Businesses have a responsibility to hire people who are going to treat customers with respect and who are capable of responding to problems created by decisions of the restaurant and their policies. This was a stressful experience and my wife and I walked away feeling very disrespected and initially $40 poorer with no pizza and no solution. The young person working for them has no business treating customers who pay a whopping $40 for a pizza that way- and his behavior being tolerated makes it impossible for me to give the restaurant another chance - so I cannot give an honest review of their food only their service. Maybe if someday I get a call that they have let said employee go they can regain my trust and I'll give them a try because their right up the street, and perhaps I can become a regular customer since I'm so close and they can get a higher rating from me. Originally posted 5/15: Worst pizza experience on the Monterey Peninsula by far. The place just randomly closes on a Saturday night well before their posted closing time. I order for pick up, spend over $40 for one large pizza which is absolutely crazy. I mean other people might think that's normal but I think that's crazy. That doesn't matter. I was in a jam and I had to get my kids some food and was not able to get back home and cook because of an emergency at work. In any case, I pay for the pizza online and then I called to confirm and there's no answer. I call multiple times. I show up to the store in person at around 8:35, 25 minutes before they are supposed to take their last order, and the whole place is dark. The next day, I am assured by the person I speak to on the phone that I will be refunded. Later on that day, I double checked to make sure that's true and it looks like they withdrawn the money from my bank account. So I called back and the person I speak to on the phone refuses to give me their name, they take absolutely no accountability for the situation, and offer absolutely no solution. So I spent $40 on pizza I never received, I was completely unable to get the attention of the manager, and my wife, and I both had to endure rudeness, extreme rudeness from their staff. When I walked in to restate my reasonable request to no avail, the person on staff was recording me on his phone. I don't get it. I'm the customer and I've already spent money and I still haven't received any product from them. It's nothing personal. When you're closing well before you posted hours on a weekend night, when you've got some cockamamie ordering system that you've built into your website, when you can't be accountable to your customers that spend money or even polite, you deserve the bad reputation that follows.

I've never been big on chicken on pizza, but this completely changed my mind. The garlic flavor was subtle (which I appreciated since garlic can easily overpower a dish), and the creamy white sauce paired perfectly with the toppings. I'm usually not a huge white sauce fan either, but it worked beautifully here. The bacon was generous and evenly distributed throughout, adding the perfect savory touch. The crust was on the thinner side, crispy, and not greasy at all, which made every bite even better. Moving on to the Margherita Pizza, a classic and my personal must order at any pizza spot. This one did not disappoint. Fresh basil, tomatoes, olive oil, and garlic all came together perfectly. Again, I appreciated the subtle garlic flavor that enhanced rather than overwhelmed the pizza. Like the Chicken Supreme, the crust was thin, nicely crisped, and not oily or greasy. Clean flavors done right. Honestly, I can't pick a favorite because both pizzas were unique in their own way and equally satisfying. Service was great, the staff was attentive and very friendly throughout our visit. The ambiance felt a little questionable at first, but it's just a smaller establishment with a cozy vibe. They had the Olympics playing, which actually made the experience more fun and entertaining. Overall, a great spot I'd definitely return to!

The breading was not overly powerful or too much. They had 3 dipping sauces. I really liked the basil one, hubby thought it was too powerful. The lemon aioli was also very good but I absolutely loved the basil one. The red one was just okay to me but hubby liked that one the most. We had a reservation and called ahead to ask if we could arrive earlier since we finished at the aquarium sooner than expected. We completely understood if the answer was no, but we were already in the area and if the answer was no, we could've totally kept busy until our actual reservation time, no big deal. The hostess, Paula, responded rudely, saying, "I can't do this right now," before handing the phone to another staff member, who kindly told us it would be fine. When we arrived, Paula simply pointed at our table and said, "There's your table," then looked down and ignored us. I wasn't even sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves until another staff member noticed and kindly escorted us to our table. The restaurant was empty when we arrived as well. At one point, we walked past Paula to get to the restroom and she slightly scoffed, looking at us with contempt. At first, I thought maybe I was overthinking it, however, throughout the evening, we noticed Paula and another staff member enthusiastically greeting and checking on every nearby table except ours. We were the largest party in the restaurant, celebrating a bride-to-be who was even wearing a veil, yet no one acknowledged the occasion. We felt so un-welcomed and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Our server was wonderful, unfortunately, the food was mediocre, nothing special, especially for the price. Overall, the poor hospitality overshadowed the entire experience. I hope management takes the recurring 1- and 2-star reviews seriously and works to improve the atmosphere because this was a very disappointing experience.

So when I went on my recent 36-hour golfing trip to Monterey,I only had two goals-To play golf two…read moretimes and to eat high quality food. The golfing goal was going to be easy since I had two tee times set up at two different amazing golf courses before I even arrived. The food one I thought might be a bit more of a challenge since I'd never been to the Monterey area,so I knew I was going to have to rely on trusty Yelp for some assistance. Well after a great day of golfing, the first thing I wanted was some high-quality pizza and Yelp pointed me straight towards Heirloom Pizza located on Cass Street. Parking at this location was pretty good as even though it was located in a busy part of town, they had their own lot they share with other businesses. Once inside I was able to see how cute this restaurant was-totally the kind of place one would take someone they cared about-date-night vibes for sure. We had called in our order before we arrived and since we were taking pizza back to the group,we ordered two large deep dish pizzas. We ordered the Pepperoni Deep Dish ($38.75)-which basically features pepperoni and a crazy amount of cheese. We also ordered The Slider($38.75) which featured meatballs, mushrooms, onions, roasted garlic and a crazy amount of cheese. Each pizza was 12-inch size, smaller than I'm used to when ordering deep dish but with the high quality ingredients and elevated cooking techniques they used,it seemed like a fair price. Both pizzas were incredible tasting and choosing between them would be like picking between a Lambo or a Ferrari. Both were an amazing eating experience and both established a new standard for deep dish pizza for me. But if I had to pick-Slider all day-I really loved that pizza, perfect crust, perfect variety of toppings, perfect seasonings, perfect sauce-yeah that was a really great pizza. I hated that I had to share it if I'm being honest. In closing, If you're ever in the Monterey area and you would like to try some high-quality deep-dish pizzas, give Heirloom Pizza a shot-I'm sure you will enjoy quite a tasty bite.

Our pizzas to go, got a large pepperoni, and a large slider (meatball, mushroom, onions and garlic) This was perhaps the best Chicago Deep Dish pizza I have ever had. The crust was flavorful, just thick enough to hold up, but thin enough not to fill you up. The sauce, was to me, a perfect tangy zesty tomato sauce , not spicy, containing chunks of fresh tomato. Under the sauce, enveloped within a succulent bed of cheese, were the items. The pepperoni was solid, fresh and a flavor delight, but the star was the Slider Pizza. Packed with succulent meatballs, with mushrooms, onions and garlic, each bite was a savory flavor bomb on my taste buds !

When we arrived the place was busy but the line moved fast. We were told our food would take about 30 minutes but it came much faster than that. We ordered the 12 inch pepperoni and it was great. It was hot, fresh, and a good portions of toppings. I'm now glad to know it's an area chain as I'll visit another location next time I see one.

The line was probably 30 people deep but the team cleared it within 15 min! Ordered the classic pepperoni to judge them on. Fantastic ratio of pep to pizza. Their claim to fame is supposedly the Big Sur which is essentially a supreme but comes with whole cloves of roasted garlic. If you're a garlic lover like me, this is the way to go! I also tried the wings which I hear have to be ordered ahead of time. They're probably slow cooked in the pizza oven because the meat was fall off the bone, with a good crispiness on the exterior. Pizza my heart can have a piece of my heart. I'm going to need the room for this 3rd slice.
