Africa Safari Concerns…read more Wild Horizons Zimbabwe Upon arrival, Wild Horizons Zimbabwe had no record of our reservation, causing significant confusion at the border. The driver initially dropped us at the wrong location, requiring a return trip to the correct exchange point. As a result, we lost approximately 1 hour & missed our scheduled afternoon activity. We request a full refund for this portion of the trip. Chundu Island Our stay at Chundu Island fell below expectations: Limited and underwhelming activities. Repeated confusion regarding prepayment for Victoria Falls activities, despite prior confirmation. Significant ant infestation upon arrival, resulting in multiple bites (see photos) & ants on dining utensils. Two encounters with a bat in our room. Unreliable hot water, allowing effectively one shower per person per stay. Frequent boat operational issues, including collisions and a broken steering line, leading to modified excursions. CapeTown Dinner cruise was cancelled; we requested a full refund. Missed opportunity to hike Table Mountain despite favorable conditions. Our requests to arrange an alternative guide were denied, causing significant disappointment. Insurance We purchased travel insurance through Travel Insured Intl (Crum & Forster) for $1255. Ntaba did not provide the documentation needed to submit a claim for the 4 paid activities affected by cancellations & operational mishaps. Our travel advisor, Jodi Oechsle of Krafty Travel, never submitted the claim on our behalf. We request immediate provision of the necessary documentation and clarification on why the claim was not submitted. We acknowledge and appreciate that Ntaba provided a goodwill gesture of $500 in recognition of some of the issues experienced at Chundu Island. However, this goodwill gesture did not address the four paid activities that were missed due to cancellations or operational mishaps. We request a formal response addressing each concern, along with details regarding refunds & compensation.

Besides booking us for the cruise, our travel agent, Sherry, also booked our flights. Although the initial booking of the cruise and our flight worked out just fine, we were disappointed in the communication throughout the process and the amount we needed to take into our own hands to make sure things worked smoothly. For example, we did not receive our confirmation when expected and had to reach out to the travel agent to get it sent to us. We also wanted to book a cabana on Disney's private island because my mother-in-law can't be in the sun and we knew demand was very high for the few available cabanas. Had we left that task to our travel agent it wouldn't have gotten booked before they sold out because a day AFTER Disney booking opened, she sent an email saying she hadn't done it yet because she needed our information--something she should have already had as our travel agent, or something she should have asked for BEFORE cabana bookings opened. She also reached out to us the day the final cruise payment was due in a panic because she forgot to reach out to us earlier. Also, we had planned on staying in Orlando a few days following the cruise to visit the Disney parks. Sherry told us she'd find a good package which included a hotel and rental car. A month before our trip was to began we hadn't heard anything from her so I had to book a hotel and rental car all on my own. Frankly, we expect a greater deal of organization from our travel agent. The good news is that the vacation went off great, but it had less to do with the travel agent than it should have. We'd recommend you try somewhere else.

When it worked, it worked well, then it would stop working for a while and come back on again. We'll, they are short staffed. I left it and they called that evening and told me everything they did to "fix it". All the easy stuff like resetting a sensor and cleaning off the condenser and adding a bit of refrigerant. I went to pick it up in the am, started it up. No air. The manager, Jack told the woman at the front desk just to refund my money because they didn't have the time or technicians to work on it. I go back to get my car and he's sitting in it looking at stuff. He proceeded to tell me how everything they did was needed and how I was being rude. I told him I didn't want to talk to him about it just give me my car and I'll leave and get it fixed somewhere else. He just kept going and going. I've been a AAA member for many years and dealt with many mechanics. This was my worst experience ever and will certainly be the last. I'll probably cancel my membership as well if the company hires managers like Jack. Go somewhere else if you want your vehicle to actually get repaired.
