Thanks to the yelpers, I found Motor City Limo and called them 3 months prior to the trip to book the transfer to/ from the airport / hotel. A few days prior to the trip I get a confirmation email, and then on the day of the trip I get an email reminding me of my pick up. The only down part is, if you don't have access to email, you would not get this reminder. As I landed I got an email telling me my driver was on the way and a photo of Anton. Then I got a text message telling me he's at the Coffee Bean with an iPad sign. Total communication .. love it! He was so easy to find, and we had no communication problem. Anton was a great driver and guide. Our SUV was warm and he even gave us bottled water to sip on. Chatty but not overly chatty, and gave us tips on what to do in Detroit. I asked Motor City to allow me to tip the driver with cash, and I gave Anton a very generous tip for a job well done. On the day of our return we had "GG" and she was excellent as well. Bright and early at 7 am on as Sunday, she was chipper and friendly. She grew up in Detroit and told us how things have changed in the new Detroit revival. Just like our arrival, Motor City gave me plenty of confirmations and notifications, so I did not stress if my reservation would be there or not. Thumbs up to Motor City, and to Karen the gal I spoke to on the phone. Emailed me within hours, and they never close. Excellent, and recommend them!

I received a frantic call from my bride standing in front of the hotel where she was supposed to meet the shuttle to take her and the bridal party to the venue and there was no shuttle. I called dispatch in a panic and they didn't have an answer for where vehicle was. They said the driver had left on time an hour prior but was now MIA. The 30-person shuttle we had booked for 10 hours of transfer service never showed up. They eventually sent a small SUV ~6 hours after our service was scheduled to start, but that didn't help much. Rather than enjoying our wedding day, I spent the afternoon and evening trying to coordinate rides for grandparents, family members and other guests from the hotel to the venue and then back to the hotel at the end of the night. MCL has since refunded my money but that doesn't begin to compensate for the chaos they caused. I would not recommend this service for anyone planning a wedding.

We have used their Town car service for rides to/from Detroit Airport for several years…read more They have always been early or waiting at baggage claim with our name on a sign board upon our return. They track your flight for delays or early arrival. The cars are always clean, drivers are professional and drive safe. Individual climate controls in back. Never a mechanical or other issue. The amount that they quote is all inclusive, tip, tax, airport parking fee etc.. The drivers help with suitcases. I didn't give them 5 stars because: They always show up early by about 15 minutes - which is ok - unless it's at 5 am and you're still getting dressed! I prefer that they ring the doorbell just 5 minutes early. They have a policy of picking you up at least 2.5 hrs prior to flight - 2.0 hours is plenty for us as we have expedited security etc. but we can't seem to override their "policy" without lying about our flight time... They charge an early morning add-on charge before 6 am. I think they should discount their rates before 6 am as there is no traffic so the trip is quicker/easier! Sometimes the drivers offer complimentary small water bottles - but it's not consistent. (it's a very nice touch - keep a case in the trunk) Paperwork, we always prepay on phone with credit card when making reservations but we still have to sign slips, fill out/review pickup requests etc. I prefer to get-in, or get -out, and go. A on-line reservation/payment system is needed - especially to change/update pickup reservations when traveling abroad and phone service is spotty or expensive. All-in-all very good service for Airport transportation to DTW.

What I thought would be 2 very different experiences ended up being very similar. Both instantly they let you play your own music. Obviously party music for the party bus. They provide ice and cups and water. The wine tour also offered sodas. BYOB and they provide bottle openers so you can enjoy your goodies. The wine tour took us to 3 wineries in 4 hours. Tight time schedule because the farthest winery is 45 minutes from Toledo and that trolley doesn't really go speed limit. I'm glad it doesn't because my butt was hurting from the uncomfortable seats but after the first stop and some drinks you don't feel it much anymore. We stopped at Leisure time winery, majestic winery and american winery. Limited food options. Only male on the trolley was the driver but he was a sweetie pie and put up with all the female chatter. Now you would think a trolley full of women would be pretty mild but we were dancing down the aisle by the second stop. Now the party bus has same offerings but the seating was much more plush. Comfortable seating with 2 levels so plenty of space. The anniversary couple chose the stops and it was more of a bar hop til 2am. Check my pics. It was a good time but I took an uber home about 1. Only so much alcohol u can consume in a 5 hour period. Team Johnson is definitely a well organized company. They post their events on eventbrite. I would definitely do one of their tours again.
